"I'm here!" The young tom piped as he skuttled up to his mentor, tail high in the air. Brackenpaw had decided to get an early breakfast and practice the moves they had mimicked as kits with Cabbagepaw before their training session.

"Oh, yes! Cabbagepaw and I were practicing this morning so we would be ready." Brackenpaw explained with a cheeky smile. Despite their early session, he felt full of energy and anticipation. "We were just really excited about starting training."

Brackenpaw's eyes widened as his mentor took off, but he quickly unfroze his paws and bounded after him. He was amazed by how easily Suedesplash cleared rocks and weaved through the undergrowth while the young tom fought hard to keep from tumbling over his paws in a mess of claws and tail.
