Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Today we're going to do some battle training, more specifically we're going to prepare you for when you're in a battle. From now on Snowbird is SnowClan and Nighthawk's are HawkClan. Because of this Rubyflame will choose someone on SnowClan to be leader and I'll choose someone in HawkClan to be leader. From there your job will be to exercise what you learned in survival training and make a shelter. Then you'll plan out an attack on the other team, but be careful cause they might launch an attack on you."
Glowstar rolled an apple over in her paw, "Each team will have an apple you have to protect. Don't let the other team take it. You "die" if you get poked with claws three times and you instantly die if you get poked in the neck. No striking anyone's eyes or you're out."
She looked over to her team. Angelpaw was just made an apprentice which could be interesting, but she had time to see what Angelpaw was made of. Foxpaw and Lastpaw on the other paw she was curious about, a hard pick...
"Lastpaw, you'll be leader of HawkClan. And no, leaders in this don't get any "extra lives" sorry," Glowstar said, a mischievous smile playing at her lips.
Foxpaw kicked the dirt in disappointment. *Darn it* he thought. He had wanted to be leader but that was okay. Lastpaw was a good apprentice and would make a good leader. He noticed Angelpaw and waved his tail at her. She was a newly appointed apprentice but he remembered giving her a catch he made one day. His attention then snapped to Glowstar, waiting for her next instruction. He couldn't wait for the training session to begin. He desperately wanted to show Glowstar how well he has been doing with his training.
Brakepaw just smiled. He knew he wouldn't be chosen as leader; that wasn't his destiny. Glowstar may not know it yet, but he was going to be a medicine cat someday, he just had to get through the rest of this fighting stuff first and bide his time. The russet tom stretched and flexed his toes.
Duskpaw bounded over to join the SnowClan cats, his ears pricked and curious. He didn't think he would be chosen as leader, but that was okay, probably. It would be cool, though.
She watched her mother with an expressionless look in her eyes. Of course, the apprentice understood that she would have been the better choice. However, she trusted her mother's judgement. If Glowstar picked Lostpaw over her, it meant there was a reason. Her whiskers flicked, before she glanced over to Foxpaw. She offered him a small smile, one that was not indicative of the inside workings of her mind. Her smiles seldom did. She then glanced at the other HawkClan cats. Whether or not she was leader, they would win.
Lastpaw's tail flicked furiously when she was named leader. She abhorred talking to other cats. She wanted to run back to camp and hide in her den, or tear at something with her claws. Lastpaw just wasn't a good talker like her sister was. However, even as her eyes darted about nervously, amber met amber as her eyes locked to her sister's. Quietly, Firstpaw made her way over to her frightened sibling, her delicate paws scarcely rustling the grass. "You're okay. Take a breath. Use your team as an extension of yourself: parts of a whole. You can do this." And with that, the golden she-cat returned to her 'Clan', leaving Lastpaw to think on her words.
"So, you're our leader," meowed thegolden she-cat, her lips twitching slightly. She could tell that Lastpaw was at least a bit uncomfortable with this proposition, which was the only part of the situation that made her irritation at her mother okay. At least Lastpaw was going to suffer through it, and that would be amusing to the she-cat. "Congrats," she mused.
Lastpaw only dipped her head in response. Though the only thing that showed was nervousness, the black she-cat was fighting back panic. Okay... deep breaths. She had to trust Firstpaw. Parts of a whole. Lastpaw knew a good place a short ways away, and her long claws were perfect for the delicate work of making a shelter. Better yet, the area was surrounded by aspen trees. Their leaves coated the ground there, making stealth almost impossible. Mind working properly now, Lastpaw was still uneasy. However, she felt much better now that she had a course of action to take.
