Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eternalstar nudged Cardinalhearts shoulders with her nose, being gentle as she tried to get him up. "Come on Cardinalheart, you have to get up. It's Mako's first training session with you and I was thinking I would join." She wanted to make sure all the mentors and apprentices meshed well with one another. Or so she would be telling them, her real reasons for joining all the mentors first training sessions with their apprentice might stay known only to herself.
Cardinalheart did not open his eyes right away. He held back a sigh. With everything happening within the Clan right now and with Lightstep still not speaking to him, even with their new kits in the nursery the last thing Cardinalheart felt like doing was mentoring yet another apprentice. It was a task he usually enjoyed and was very good at, however, he also hoped Lightstep wouldn't see him with Eternalstar today. Reluctantly the dark red tom blinked open his eyes. "It's just now dawn, is she even awake yet?" he asked sleepily.
"Right over here, sir!" Mako declared, suddenly bounding into the den and very narrowly avoiding stepping on any warriors nearby. It was dawn, but Mako had been awake for a few hours now, and had been waiting just inside the nursery, barely able to contain her excitement at starting her training. She'd eventually ventured out of the den when she'd spotted Eternalstar passing by, and figured if the Clan leader was up and around, then so would Mako too. That, and she totally wanted to eavesdrop. Every warrior had to start somewhere, right
Cardinalheart didn't look nearly as enthusiastic as her, she noted. "...But I can go somewhere else for a bit if you want," she offered, looking guiltily at Eternalstar.
Cardinalheart rose to his paws and stretched away the last of any tiredness he had. "Not necessary!" he replied to Mako with a smile. He was glad to see he had an enthusiastic apprentice, he remembered his first day of training; he had to nearly be dragged out of the apprentices' den simply because he didn't want to wake up so early, nothing had really changed since then, other than the fact that his body eventually got somewhat accustomed to waking up around dawn anyway. "Let's head out!" he chirped bounding out of the warriors' den.
Eternalstar followed after him, brushing her tail along Mako's spine in a silent comfort. "I'll be joining you as well today dear, I hope you don't mind." She hummed as she ushered herself and the apprentice out of the den. Amused by the sudden shift in Cardinalheart, if a little annoyed that he hadn't been more receptive of her attempt to wake him gently. She had thought she had her claws deeper in his pelt, but it seemed she was wrong. But oh well, she would worry about it later, today she would focus on Mako.
