Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"That goes... Here... This goes... There... But.. Where does this go?" Guider Cadet Pisces sighed. She had spent all afternoon trying to organize the herbs by name, but she felt like it was going nowhere. With only so much space, the young calico thought it would be nearly impossible. Cadet Pisces hissed in frustration before walking to a particularly breezy part of the Garden. She circled around for a moment before curling her body and laying down, resting her head on her paws.

"Nice day isn't it." Guider Zaire hummed as he settled down beside her. Despite the fact they were within tunnels, only getting fresh air from the whole above them, opening up to the sky. He glanced down towards the cadet with a small smile, sensing she seemed frustrated and trying to extend a paw so to say. An outlet if she so chose to use it, though he suspected it would take a little more conversation before they reached that point.
Cadet Pisces let out a very exasperated sigh. "I'm supposed to be putting away the herbs, but this is so hard!" She stretched and rolled her body over, watching the sky from what little view she had.

"Maybe you're not supposed to be a Guider then." He hummed, not trying to be rude simply stating an observation like a fact. "Maybe you should try the other professions and then if you find those just as hard come back to trying to be a guider. No harm in trying your other options."
Her heart stung. Maybe you're not supposed to be a Guider is something she heard far too often. She's always been told she should be a Raiser, not smart enough to comprehend the nuances of being a Guider. Pisces didn't want to show Zaire any disrespect, so instead of instinctively swatting the older tom she rolled her eyes. Pisces didn't normally get upset or moody, but being told to try a different job was something that really pushed her buttons! She became a Guider for a reason: to save a life and gain knowledge. Were her dreams just nothing? Should she reconsider? Ugh, everything was just so hard!

Zaire, having younger sisters himself, realized Pisces had taken the words to heart and they had obviously wounded her. But he was unwilling to take back his words. If she wasn't willing to work through her frustrations and keep trying then being a guider wasn't for her. "You were supposed to be putting away herbs, should I finish for you then?" He wondered aloud, as he continued to observe her fit. Unbothered, which also meant he made no real effort to cheer her up.
Cadet Pisces jumped up, her jaw agape. "No! I wanna finish it! I just..." She looked to the ground below her, scratching the earth lightly in frustration. "Could you... Could you help me? I want to do this myself, I really do! I'll do anything if it means I can stay a guider!" She could feel her face burning up, a mix of anger and embarrassment twirling in her head.

"Alright, alright, calm down cadet Pisces." Zaire hummed, brushing his tail briefly against her. "I can help you sort the herbs. No reason to resort to such desperate things as 'doing anything." He assured the younger cat. Pushing to his paws to head back towards the herbs she had abandoned. "Try to put the ones you know away and then we'll work on the ones you're not sure about or just don't know."
She silenced herself and sat up. She felt small, like a tyke again having a tantrum. Cadet Pisces closed her eyes and took a deep breathe, now stretching to relieve the tension she built. She quietly followed him to the herbs, her ears flat and tail down in disgrace for her behavior. She sat next to him and stared at the pile of herbs strewn about the ground for a moment before finally picking one up. "I know this is yarrow, and it would go on the bottom here." She grabbed a pile of small white flowers and placed it on a long rock strewn with all different kinds of herbs. She returned her gaze to the herbs, scanning for anything else she could recognize. She was a rather new guider cadet, so her general knowledge on healing and herbs was still pretty slim. "I know this is belladonna..." She started, "But I don't know where this goes."
"Belladonna would go with your poisons," He hummed pointing towards the little section, "such as the foxglove seeds." A stock they kept that would hopefully never have to be used. The belladonna only used to end ones suffering. The foxglove seeds easily to hide away in prey and quick to stop ones heart. "Which need to be very separate from the rest of the herbs so newer cats don't mix up foxglove seeds and poppy seeds."
