Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"They are encouraged to eat, but some are too sick to hold anything down" She frowned but the idea of giving the greencough patients some quail eggs was a good one. The eggs had lots of protein and would do wonders for their strength if they could keep it down. "But offering it to them is a great idea!" she grinned.
He beamed when she said it was a great idea. "Perfect! Let's bring these back to camp and give them to the patients first. We can snack on the quail and eggs later if that's okay with you?" He offered.
She nodded, "Okay!" Then she managed to pick up all three quail eggs in her jaws and left the quail for Foxfoot to carry. She lead the way back to camp, remembering where they had come from. She was getting to know Fallclan quite well now. It almost felt like home to her. She entered the camp and into the medicine den.
He had a skip in his step as he followed Fawnheart back to camp. Despite the time she's spent in FallClan, she still had a lingering sweet scent of her SpringClan origins. He watched as she went into the medicine cat den and sat outside to wait for her.
She returned a little while longer with a grin "Some managed to keep it down." This was great news and she hoped they would all continue to eat that well.
Foxfoot gave her a warm smile. "That's great news! I hope it's a sign that things will get better." His amber eyes lit like flames as he pawed at the quail in front of him, purring as he asked "Would you like to eat now? We can stay in camp if you would like, though I prefer to eat outside." He chucked at himself at the end.
He nodded and escorted Fawnheart out of camp with him, quail clutched in his mouth. He brought her back to the creek they started their day at, taking a place laying at the edge on the stone. Foxfoot put the quail in between he Fawnheart and lightly pawed it towards her, letting her take the first bite.
Foxfoot smiled, feeling his face warm as he watched her. He took the next bite, taking small ones and letting her have most of the fresh-kill. "How do you like FallClan so far? Better than SpringClan?" He wondered how she felt spending so much time in a Clan that wasn't hers. Did she miss her home? Does she have lots of friends back there? Though he didn't show it, he was a little anxious about her answer. Foxfoot liked this she-cat; she was nice, and he didn't have many friends that took him seriously as she seems to. He was hoping that her stay in FallClan was enjoyable enough that she might visit again.
She paused from her meal and looked at Foxfoot, longing in her eyes. "Oh yes, I miss my home very much...but I miss the way it was. Not what it has turned into." She paused for another split moment. "Since Eternalstar had become leader, she had been obsessed with control. She wants Springclan to be something it's not and never had been. Springclan was once welcoming and full of kind-hearted cats. Now, it is the exact opposite...I must admit though, my visit in Fallclan has been wonderful. So many cats welcomed me even though I was from another clan. You even allowed Softpelt to become medicine cat even though she was from my clan. I am in deep debt with your clan and will forever hold Fallclan as an ally." She finished with a warm smile.
Foxfoot dipped his head in thanks. "We are a family here, no matter where you come from or who you are. I feel that prejudice and power are so useless to obsess over; at the end of the day, all that power will get you nothing without anyone to support you. As long as your head and heart are steady, you will always have a home here in FallClan." He was prideful of his Clan, the ones who so graciously took him in as a kitten. "Plus, with you helping out Softpelt, we are just indebted to you as you are to us." He wanted to ask her if she planned on going back to SpringClan, but the way she talked about her home made it seem like she had no interest in it anymore. Instead, he thought for a moment before speaking for once. "Do you plan to stay here for a bit longer? I mean, after the greencough outbreak dies down a little. Or are there other Clans you plan to visit before your return to SpringClan?" He had hoped his wording wasn't too on the nose.
Honestly, Fawnheart didn't mind all the questions coming from him. She liked him...a lot. More than she probably should. "Honestly, I have been thinking of staying. Especially now that I have made friends here...and possibly have fallen for a tom..."she admitted embarrassed, looking away.
He smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Really? I love gossip. Tell me, tell me! You've never striked me as the flirtatious type." He purred as he teased her.
She grinned, "Oh no, I shouldn't say anything." She felt warm under her pelt but she didn't want to really admit that she liked him. They had only just met. But maybe he liked her back? She was afraid to tell him. He seemed like he liked her but then again, he also kind of treated her only as a friend. Basically, she felt like he was giving her mixed signals and she didn't want to make it awkward.
She took another bite and held an awkward silence for a while debating on whether she should tell him or not. She would never know unless she tried, right? "Foxfoot..." she began awkwardly, hoping it didn't sound too awkward. "We have been hanging out a lot recently. You make me want to stay in Fallclan. You have been such a great friend but..." She trailed off. Could she finish what she was saying? Could she really tell him how she was feeling?
"Hey! It's okay if you want to go back to SpringClan. It's your home, I understand. I quite enjoy all the time we've been spending together. I'm glad we're friends." He smiled warmly at her. "I just feel bad for the poor tom who'll- wait, aren't medicine cats not allowed to mate? It's against the warrior code." He cocked his head, contorting his face in confusion. If she has fallen for a tom... Doesn't that mean she has to give up her position?
"Before Eternalstar became leader, Oreostar allowed Medicine cats to have mates," she explained. But then it hit her. If she were to have a mate, would Eternalstar allow her back? If she had a mate in Fallclan, would she have to give up everything to be with him? She then realized that...perhaps she didn't want to be medicine cat anymore. Springclan isn't what it used to be. Would she still want to go back to being a medicine cat in a clan where the leader seemed to care less about her? "I guess Eternalstar wouldn't approve of that. However, no one said I had to go back."
Foxfoot thought for a moment. "What do you need to do? Like, when you think about going back to SpringClan or staying here in FallClan, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? Whatever it is, that's what your soul is telling you to do. It's what you need to do, deep down."
