Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Duststorm laid perched upon the highest branch she could manage to climb up to, the tree she was on overhanging a ravine that led down the mountain. Buds had begun to form on the branches of the tree, signalling that new-leaf was right around the corner, and despite her cold aura she held about her, Duststorm was truly excited. Never before had she hated leaf-bare, but this past one caused her fur to rise and teeth to bare. It wasn't even the snow that got to her, it was the cold. Duststorm is a short-furred tabby she-cat, and so it's no wonder as to why she hated it so, so much.
Duststorm heard a few twigs breaking as if someone were climbing up the tree, and she was quick to stand on the branch and look down, only to see a feline struggling to get up.
"Uhhh..."
( Your character can be the feline climbing up the tree! )

Ghostpaw's face was furred in concentration as he scrabbled up the tree, claws gripping where they could and slipping on the bark as he tried to pull himself up. He hung by his front paws momentarily before pulling himself up onto a branch with a loud gruffing sound. "I did it!" The silver tabby apprentice called proudly, puffing out his chest victoriously before noticing the voice from above, looking up with wide and curious green eyes. "Oh, hi Duststorm!" He called rather loudly.
As she recognized it as Ghostpaw, Duststorm's confused face turned into one of frustration. She had completed all of her duties before sunhigh, and with no patrols to go on, she decided she was going to spend the rest of the day doing what she does best - resting alone. "Good job," She managed to murmur out, although the look on her face hadn't changed. "What are you doing here, Ghostpaw?" She then questioned, the dusty grey-brown tabby lifting a paw to rake her tongue over as she awaited his response.

The silver tabby apprentice noticed her annoyance but ignored it. If she wanted to be alone she should have found a better hiding place instead of one of his trees. "What are you doing here?" He retorted, looking up at her from his branch. "I don't remember seeing your name scratched onto the tree."
"Nor do I remember seeing yours," Duststorm answered blandly, rolling her eyes at the apprentice. "My scent is all over this tree, kid. You should've known who you were coming across when you started climbing up the tree." With a sigh, the warrior lifted herself to her paws and shook any remnants of dirt from her pelt. "It was quite rude of you to avoid my question, by the way. You need to learn to respect your elders before you become a warrior."

"You're barely a warrior yourself." He huffed indignantly, ruffling his fur in annoyance. If there was anything he hated it was warriors who thought they were superior to everyone else just because they were older. He just didn't get it. If they wanted respect, maybe they should be better about earning it in his opinion. "Besides, your scent being on the tree doesn't mean anything. There's a scent of squirrel on this tree but that doesn't mean it belongs to the squirrel." One day, his mouth was going to get him in some serious trouble for certain.
"Never said the tree was mine," Duststorm countered with a hiss, glaring down at the apprentice. "And just because I recently became a warrior doesn't mean anything. I'm still a warrior, and that's that. Once you learn a little respect, then maybe you'll make some friends." With that said, Duststorm unsheathed her claws and began to expertly climb down the tree, getting to the ground in a matter of moments. Her muscles moved vividly under her grey-brown tabby pelt, green eyes trained on the ground as her paws came in contact with the cool soil.

"For your information, I do have friends." He huffed with increasing annoyance. He had become friends with Mudpaw and Crimsonpaw and even Foxsnarl tolerated his company from time to time. "Maybe you'll get some friends when you demand respect without giving it." He scratched at the tree below him, green eyes resting on the tree branch.
Duststorm chuckled, and shook her head. "I have a few friends," She answered, "but not much. It's better to keep your circle small than have more friends than you can count. That way, it's easier to spot who stabs you in the back when push comes to shove." She began to walk off, although she stopped, lashing her tail over her shoulder for him to follow her. "Accompany me?"

As annoyed as he was, he had to admit her proposition made him curious. "You seem to have trust issues," the tom sniffed as he eyed her curiously, "where are you going?" He followed up. He should at least ask before blindly accompanying the warrior even if he would probably be expected to anyways.
