Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Yeah, Proboards takes a bit to get used to. If you follow someone, and they follow you back, that's how you become 'friends'. You can also technically see their activity (I don't think we have a button to get to it atm, but if you go to your profile, add '/following' to the url, it'll bring you to the page. xP). I don't think there's any other use for it.
On the upside, for all this confusion, and your eternal soul, we get mass messaging, and the ability to add things like italics/bold, etc to posts. So that's nice.
Nadia is even still a royal, though I can't say the same about the rest of the original families.
We're actually in the middle of a plot where Tasman becomes Tsar, and Lakeveil takes her mother's former position as Vrachii. (Spring just died. So rip.)

The original families were Vasilev, Ravneig, and Caerwyn. Nadia is Caerwyn, Aiden/Anastasia were Ravneig, iirc. Changeling, Leonid's grandkit would be Vasilev, I believe.
