Yellow-moon eyes watched as his clan members passed him. One by one they were in and out of the camp, oblivious to the crack searing it's way down through his soul. How could he expect them to see it? Honestly, he did want them to. Exotic-ete longed for the feeling of acceptance, yet he denied himself the privilege of accepting it when it was offered. Eternalstar took him and his siblings in. In all reality, he should feel grateful. While Empirical-ete was less trusting, he almost felt like maybe he could take the leader at her word. His eyes shifted to the gaping hole beside him. The entrance of camp looked so lonely when no one was walking through it. Was that how he looked at that moment?
Wolfspider padded through the camp on his way to the camp entrance, trudging through the snow, he halted when his gaze landed on Exotic-ete. Wolfspider wondered what he was doing, just staring at the camp entrance. He was new to the Clan, someone Wolfspider had yet to meet. He narrowed his gaze slightly before deciding to address him. "You afraid to leave camp or something?" he asked, half jokingly.

His bulging eyes shifted to the older cat and Exotic-ete gave a slow shrug. There was no doubt there was something off about the orphan. "Maybe so. Do you ever feel exposed in such open territory?" His words were mature for his age as he answered the question, taking no note of the joke.
Wolfspider stared silently at the smaller cat for a few moments. Truthfully he'd never put much thought into being too exposed in their territory. "No, I can't say I do." he answered slowly. "I mean I've never put much thought into it, I'm just so used to it. It's all I know." he added, sitting down and curling his tail over his paws.

"Hm, I guess that makes sense." Exotic-ete responded to Wolfspider's answer. He guessed it was just something that he thought about and others didn't consider. Maybe being paranoid to the core did that to you. "What is it like then-- the feeling of being outside of the camp?"
