Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
i appologize w how late this was, ceremonies were in the midst of my two week absence Jetclaw
"Flickerpaw," Lindon greeted with a flick of his tail. "I'm glad to finally get a chance to meet you in a less formal way." There was an apology in his voice. When his mate had assigned him to mentor, he had been in the middle of a mess. It wasn't fair to the apprentice that this was the case, but he hoped that the other cat would understand. "I should have taken some time away from my sister before this. I know that I'm not your first mentor, so it extra sucks that I've been a little bit behind, but I hope that we can work things out!" He offered an easy smile; he was being honest. He hoped that he and Flickerpaw would make a great pair.
Flickerpaw brightened, he'd been through many different mentors. He was happy that Burningstar had finally decided to trust a cat so close to her to mentor him. He nodded to Lindon. "It's okay, Kerrigan needed your attention, I've waited this long to be a warrior, I don't mind waiting while you take care of your family." He said. "Do you know any cool secret BrookClan moves? Are you going to teach me some techniques?" He asked hopefully. He had been rather excited at the prospect of learning some cool different tactics that BrookClan used, that NightClan didn't.
"I appreciate that," he meowed, before the tom let out a chuckle, a soft noise. He looked pretty excited, and the tom appreciated that. It had been a while since he had trained anyone of his own; in BrookClan, it had been before his sister took the crown. Flickerpaw would be a refreshing breath of cool air, then. "I think that that's something we can talk about, yes," he chuckled. "Although I think that the Monarchy would have my head if I gave up all of their secrets." He gave another easy smile, before nodding. "Do you mind if I assess what you already know before we do anything, though? It would be helpful for me to know what you've already learned."
"Maybe just a few battle moves then?" Flickerpaw asked hopefully. "But if you can't it's okay." He added quickly.
Then at the mention of showing what he knew Flickerpaw straightened. "Sure, since I've changed mentors so much, most of them like to start with hunting to familiarize themselves with me... so my battle training is really lacking. But I've gotten pretty good at hunting." He said proudly.
"I'm sure I can put together something for you," he assured the younger cat. "Plus, my sister isn't the tsar anymore, so what can they really do to me?" He winked at the younger cat, before nodding.
"Are you more comfortable with a hunting challenge first, then?" he asked. He didn't want the tom to be uncomfortable. "We can start with that if you'd like?" What kind of hunting did cats around here do? He was getting used to it, but he hadn't been formally trained in that way. He was interested to see the toms inherrent skills.
