Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar dipped her paw into the water delicately testing its temperature. The waters were warmer in MoonClan than they were in DayClan. MoonClan had trees and growth to buffer out the cold winds while DayClan was stripped of any plants before leafbare due to the two-leg cutting down all the crops. Thus leaving the land barren for white outs and blizzards to cover the landscapes. As promised she only crossed onto their territory while the sun still lit the skies.
Her fur was an ocean of wild auburn cinnamon waves kissing up against the shores of her summery vanilla bombshell coat. Warm honey blonde streaks drizzled across her fur, usually grass stained green now held an illuminated white glow from the grass concealed in a case of frost. The DayClan leader gently pressed her paw into the water allowing the fish to swim past and into her paw. A false sense of safety before catching the biggest fish that swept past her paw. There was no secret about her assassin past in Primal Instinct, during her undercover mission in WaterClan she had acquired the ability to fish and swim thus being one of the few members of her clan to know the trade. Still. She was invading MoonClan's land even if they were supposed to be under the Pride's control.
Pinesong hung back in the undergrowth, her dark red pelt helping her to hide, she fixed Glowstar with an angry stare. Contemplating attacking her for several long moments, but she also had a feeling Glowstar wasn't alone and dying wasn't something she planned to do today. Her siblings and parents and her Clan needed her, especially since her sister had just recently abandoned MoonClan for Primal Instinct. A stupid choice, really, but who was Pinesong to judge? Watching Glowstar fish brought several questions to Pinesong's mind, including why she seemed so intent on consolidating power. All Pinesong strived for in life was to serve her Clan to the best of her ability and to be cared for when she was an elder and was no long able to care for herself.
Silvershine had been out with her daughter, Pinesong when they discovered Glowstar fishing on their territory. Both of them hid under the entwining undergrowth. The silver tabby she-cat had remained quiet. She, too, was reluctant to go head first into a fight. This could be a trap and Moonclan was weak enough. She flicked her ear to Pinesong, signalling for her to take the lead on this; confident that her daughter would make the right move.

Quietstep had been out as well and spotted Silvershine in the distance. She padded up to her quietly, surveying the situation. "What's going on?" She whispered.
Her grass stained green paw splashed into the water and for a moment the water encapsulated her paw as though it followed her and not the current. Emerging her paw out of the water was a massive fish that she quickly bit into with her teeth and swung back to land. With an assassins precision she striking the fish just above the eye with her claws before seemingly sadistically moving her claws back and forth and retreating her paw away. There was no struggle, one moment the fish was in the air, alive, stunned. The next the fish touched grass and its brain was literally scrambled, dead and without a heartbeat.
She rolled her shoulders back, massaging her front arms for a moment before stepping closer to the water and gingerly placing her arm back in to try to get another fish. She tried not to visibly wince, after all her cats weren't much better undercover. The Regime taught her to sense with her paws and whiskers. Everyone had a distinct paw step and she recognized there were presences nearby. The other tip were their scents. One moment she caught scent of a cat moving by from the wind and then the next it never appeared again. If a cat were passing by she'd like catch the scent carried by the breeze once more, but not smelling it again hinted it paused and ducked below the breeze where the cats scent couldn't be carried. Therefore an attempt to try and hide. Still this was Forest Clans, not the league where cats were attempting murder so she proceeded to fish keeping her eyes on the water.
Pinesong glanced from Quietstep to her mother and then back to Glowstar. She hadn't quite decided what move she wanted to make, if any. MoonClan was currently under the control of the Pride and Pinesong had seen enough of her Clanmates perish attempting to fight back. She didn't want to lose anymore, especially any kin. "What should we do?" she asked in a whisper. Every instinct and all her training told her to attack and chase Glowstar from their territory.

"Then again, this a leader we're talking about. And I think she's one of the nicer ones? Foxstar and Burningstar are real pains, but Glowstar has a conscience. At least I thought she did." Quietstep whispered.

"Just go over there and talk to her, if she makes any sudden moves, attack her first. You make the first move and you'll have the advantage." Quietstep instructed. After saying so, she sheepishly looked at Silvershine, noticing she had just ruined the teaching moment. "Or, er, do what feels right."
Summoning up whatever courage Pinesong could find she glanced between her mother and Quietstep before stepping out of the undergrowth and approaching Glowstar. Pinesong didn't want to make herself appear too threatening but she didn't want to seem friendly either. "What are you doing on MoonClan's territory?" She demanded as she approached Glowstar.
Silvershine gave Quietstep an amused look as the other she-cat gave instructions to her daughter. She wasn't worried about it. She would have liked Pinesong to do it herself but guidance never hurt anyone. She watched as her daughter walked up to the leader, hidden within the undergrowth still. She wanted to see how Pinesong would do with Glowstar without the Dayclan leader having the other two cats knowingly present. The silver tabby she-cat knew Glowstar was one of the more respected leaders and was far more friendlier than most which is why she felt safer with Pinesong going in alone. If it had been a different leader, she would have been with her daughter and challenging them. However, even though Glowstar isn't a hostile cat, anything could potentially happen and it was best if she kept a close eye.
Glowstar kept her ears from prickling at the soft hush hush sound of Pinesong's paws moving through the grass and over to her. Hearing Pinesong's voice she gave a mock look of surprise as she turned around, her paw over her chest as she let out a breath of air, "Heh, you scared me."
She looked from her pile of fish to the stream and quickly placed an amused paw over her muzzle laughing a bit, "Mmm, I know this might surprise you, but I'm actually squirrel hunting. The stream, the pile of fish. It's actually a little known fact, but squirrels have been known to eat fish during harsh leafbares when the trees don't bare anymore nuts and they've run out of food for hibernation. Now, I've done my research and this is the prime time when squirrels are seeking alternative foods so I've caught some fish and I plan to lure the squirrels onto MoonClan territory. They'll see the fish, try to take a nibble and that's when I'll get them. I'll be able to keep the fish and the squirrels. That way MoonClan can have the squirrels, DayClan can have the fish. Would you like to help out or maybe hide with me while I wait for the squirrels to take the bait?"
"Squirrels... do not eat... fish." Pinesong replied, staring quizzically at Glowstar. "As a matter of fact they can barely swim and would likely drown even attempting to catch a fish." she added, completely unsure of what to make of Glowstar's oddly friendly response and odd behavior.
Sugary sweet laughter escaped from her jaws, "You're too much," Glowstar said with a bashful wave of her paw, "Yes, you're correct about all that, you see I was trying to find out if I could fool you into believing such a thing, but you're too good for my wit. I'm actually just here fishing, nothing more, nothing less."
There was a certain breathless warmth that flowed from her essence, a silent promise to anyone she encountered that there was no one in the world she wanted to be see, but the person before her. A kind of aura that radiated so purely and without fear it could wash over anyone from an eight yard radius. Her emerald gaze looked at Pinesong again with a genuine look of apology, "Oh I'm sorry, my name is Glowstar of DayClan, what's your name?"
