Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Featherwisp was what one might call a doting mother if they were being nice. Those who were less inclined to niceties might call her a helicopter parent, one who kept her kittens almost always in eyes sight. This wasn't unreasonable, though, being with with the fact that she had lost her entire first litter before they became apprentices. She had vowed not to let that happen again, which meant that the kittens were under constant supervision. They did a lot as a family unit, and meal time was no different.
Now that they were old enough to eat solid food, Featherwisp found meal time a little more enjoyable. Still, the kittens were rather picky sometimes, and today seemed to be one of those times.
Silkkit narrowed her eyes at the rabbit. "I'm not hungry!" she whined with a stamp of her foot.
Snowkit eyed her sister, mild annoyance evident in her gaze. "Yes you are," she murmured, placing a paw over her sister's foot. "You just haven't realised it yet. Or you're being stubborn." She'd realised that Featherwisp could kind of go overboard with the whole parenting thing a little while ago, but...well, she was obviously so careful around them for a reason, wasn't she? Featherwisp probably just knew something Snowkit and her siblings didn't. Therefore, Snowkit would try and help her mother as best she could.
...Still, she wasn't really in the mood for rabbit right now. "Maybe we could eat something e-else?" she asked Featherwisp innocently, flinching as she heard the stutter in her voice. Rookie mistake. She'd do better next time.
"How would you know?" She meowed before knocking her sister on the shoulder with her front paw with the one she wasn't holding, trying to knock free of her sister's grip. This got a glare from her mother, to which the kitten shrugged off. She was in her rebellious phase, not that any phase of her life since she'd opened her eyes could probably be considered not a rebellious phase.
Featherwisp flinched slightly at her daughter's request. She should have known better than to get them a rabbit. Nervously, she let out a soft noise, before nodding. "Oh, yes ! Of course!" she meowed, shifting her weight between her paws. "Maybe we should go together to pick something out, then?"
Snowkit gave her sister a sharp glance. "I know things," she murmured ominously, before turning back to her mother. "To be honest, I'm not sure if anything would satisfy Silkkit right now," she replied, proud that she sounded only a little spiteful. "But what if you let Silkkit pick? Maybe she'd feel a little more inclined to not inadvertently starve herself." Okay, maybe she had to work on that whole not-being-spiteful thing a little more.
