Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Spiderpaw had just found out who his new partner was, and he couldn't say that he was pleased. Viscariapaw was not a true member of NightClan in his eyes, even though Shiverstar had taken him in. He was an outsider, a kit brought into their ranks. At least he had come to the clan at a young age, so he had been raised in their ways. It still left a bitter taste in his mouth though.
Viscariapaw huffed when Spiderpaw came and woke him up. He wasn't anywhere near as much fun to be paired with as Amberlake... or at least from what he could tell after being assigned to him for little under one day.
"Fine, fine, let's go." He grumbled rubbing his eye briefly before stepping out, giving his pelt a quick shake to let it lie flat before trotting out to catch up with Spiderpaw, but his pace wasn't particularly hurried.
Spiderpaw turned to leave and rolled his eyes once he was facing the other direction. Just like an outsider to sleep in all night instead of contributing to their clan. He set off at a brisk pace, not waiting for his partner to wake up. "My mentor says that we should always catch something, before we eat. So how about we start with a hunt?"
"Perhaps by the old bear cave? I don't think any patrols have been sent out that way in a while, and with the warmer weather I bet more animals will be out of their dens" his voice was as smooth as his gait, as he continued on the path that he had walked many times. He glanced back, his golden eyes watching for the other cat's reaction. Many cats were afraid of the old bear cave, especially those who were outssiders. He just hoped Viscariapaw wouldn't be to mouse-heart to hunt in that area.
Viscariapaw had once heard a bear had lumbered through during late greenleaf, but it had all been resolved through some quick thinking warriors who guided it away. He was a little unsure about going by it, but he shrugged trying not to look too bothered by this mention. "Okay, let's do that then," He said.
At least she isn't to craven, perhaps her time in NightClan has done her some good, he thought to himself as the two continued on. "Just try not to get in my way. If I don't bring back enough prey, Im sure my mentor will have my ear"
The black tom broke into a brisk trot eagar to get to their hunting grounds. He had big paws to fill, and he wouldn't do that by being lazy
Viscariapaw blinked and then he shrugged, "Nah, don't worry about it, you're younger than me. You bring back a lot of prey you'll look just fine." He told his partner. "And just because I'm a little leery of the bear cave, don't think I can't handle myself." He said a bit tartly straightening up as he quickened his pace so he trotted alongside Spiderpaw.
