Sydney, for as young as she was, was wise beyond her years. Quite literally, in fact. The kitten, though she didn't look like much now, was a reincarnation of her past self into the line of Crowluminescence, Foxstar's adopted daughter who was now deceased. The she-cat had been born with all her memories and experiences intact, as well as her orders directly from the Sun God himself. She wasn't surprised at being chosen alongside Rorke and Kaelen, for the task at hand, but it was slow going. Their... littermates, didn't exactly understand what was going on, and were very much enjoying their youth without feeling trapped in bodies far too small.

Rorke emerged from the nursery with a sigh, the kits within having another game of keep away within. It was getting rather monotonous, but they couldn't push their charges just yet. They were to young to understand their mission, to young to put such a weight upon their shoulders. For now he had been working with the kit had been assigned to to hone their skills. He sparred with them constantly in the form of games, and engaged their mind with puzzles and problems to solve. They had a long way to go before this lot could really be considered assassins... As he exited the den, he spotted Sydney sitting on her own and decided to join her. He slowly walked over "Slowly making progress"
Brokenstride watched the kits, humming gently to herself. She hadn't left the nursery and returned to senator life yet, even though she could have long before then. It just didn't feel right to her.

(Yeah. Next month we'll promote them, but they are still kits for now. c:)
Sydney nodded slowly, her gaze drifting to Brokenstride for a moment as she offered the older feline a nod. "We'll all be promoted soon, and that'll be much nicer for everyone." She agreed, intentionally keeping her comments vague in the presence of the Senator. Their real mission was secret, and thus, they couldn't be open with it when others were around, though they were careful about mentioning it at all. "While it's been fun to have the chance to be carefree and silly, I do think I'll enjoy getting back into the normal swing of things."
The she-cat, for what it was worth, had been born during Rorke's reign, had grown up during his and his successors' leaderships, and it was odd now, to see the cat she'd looked up to in her youth so long ago, the same age as she. This entire thing was odd, to grow up in a world vastly different from what they'd known. But, at the very least, it was incredibly interesting. Even if she spent some time playing and joking around, so much more was spent talking with the Senators and the Janus, learning about the past and the present, gathering information on their target and the lives they'd been granted once more.
