The Sun God lounged on the rock in the center of Ceremony Springs, amber eyes drifting lazily over the Burial Grounds. Someone would approach him eventually, and he'd have someone to talk to. Of course, he could find someone himself, but what was the point in that? He was the deity after all, it was their duty to do things, and his to lord over them, as nature had intended. More or less, anyway. There was the small matter of bringing life and light to the world, but his personality and presence were enough to do that on their own. No, they could come to him today. Be lucky enough to talk with a deity for a few moments, at least.
Romancepaw soon found himself alone, the hustle and bustle of the clan left behind him. Sometimes it was a little over whelming, and a brisk walk on his own was what he needed to recharge. He hummed as he walked, until he spotted the Sun God lying in the sun.
He hesitated, his paws slowly coming to a stop. He had a lot that he had been wanting to ask their deity, but the time had never been right. The Sun God was busy, and to busy to bother with his own problems. They would seem rather small to such and important figure, although to Romancepaw they meant a lot.
As much as drangonswrath attempted to avoid the Sun god, he always somehow ended up nearby him. He wasn't far from the two, but he didn't make himself known as he watched Romancepaw preparing to approach.
Just because he didn't reveal himself, didn't mean the Sun God was ignorant to the Soothsayer's presence. Even still, he focused his gaze on Romancepaw, offering a radiant smile to the apprentice. "Greetings, Romancepaw. What brings you my way?" There was an underlying suggesting to his voice, as though he knew that the other tom had something on his mind. Of course, this wouldn't surprise anyone, as he was around often enough to have spoken with or advised more than a few SunClan cats in recent times.
Even though he shouldn't have been surprised, it still unsettled him how easily the Sun God saw through. His gaze strong enough that it felt like he was seeing into his soul. The Sun God would know any lies, so there was no point in speaking lies of half-truths.
Instead he opened up, put what was on his mind before the deity "Honestly, I just... Well I have been thinking a lot about love. Like how will I knew when I find real love? There are a lot of she-cats that I like, but how will I know which one is THE one?"

"That is a hard question." The deity sighed, tilting his head in consideration. "Love is special, and hard to find. When you do, you will know. I know that's not a very thorough explanation, but when you find the right one, it'll feel different. You'll find yourself at ease in their presence, and want to work for a future you make together, rather than thinking only in terms of yourself. It won't feel one sided, or like one of you has more power than the other, even if there are differences in your ranks. No relationships are perfect, however, they are all hard work, and I'm sure even you can point to many couples, in or out of SunClan, where the pairings are clearly flawed, for one reason or other." Love was a complicated thing, and something that could not be simply explained. There was so much nuance to it that went beyond just the initial infatuation.
Even though he wasn't compltley satisfied with the answer, he still was grateful that the Sun God had taken the time to answer the question that had been plaguing him. He listened to each word carefully, committing it to memory. He wasn't really sure that he understood what the Sun God was saying, but he was trying really hard.
He just wanted to find his soul mate, the she-cat that he was born to be with. The she-cat that was perfect for him, a love that stories would be told about for many generations. Most of all, he just wanted a she-cat that would love him unconditionally.
"I have been trying so hard to find the right girl for me. My brothers say that I flirt to much, but it is only because I want to give every she-cat a chance. After all, I don't want to miss out on my soul mate just because I was to afraid to give love a shot. I don't lead them on, and once I know they are not the one I end things... Is that wrong? I just.." he knew what he was saying sounded rather silly, especially to be bothering your deity about. However it had been weighing heavily on him, and he supposed the Sun God would have some advice for him.

The Sun God smiled slightly. "Flirting isn't inherently bad. You're not leading them on, either. However, I would focus on yourself first. If you're not content on your own, you'll never be content with someone else. You don't need to worry about missing the right one either. They will come along when they were meant to. If you're happy as you are, without a mate, and you enjoy the flirting, then by all means, go ahead. Keeping your options open is good. But don't get so caught up in finding 'the one' that you forget yourself, or miss what's right in front of you. You will find someone that is right for you, flaws and all. It's not a race, it's a journey." Romancepaw was caught up in his namesake, clearly. He was constantly on the look for some mystery she-cat to complete him, but that wasn't how the world worked. There was no 'perfect'.
(Sun God, the therapist XD) Finally some advice that made some sense in his young mind. He supposed he had been to focused on she-cats lately, when he should have probably been focused more on his training. In theory, it was really good advice. After all he needed to figure out what he wanted and who he was before trying to figure out a whole other cat. He knew that he wouldn't be able to stop worrying over it completly, but he would try to push his worries to the back of his mind for now. To follow the advice that had been given to him.
"Thank you" he dipped his head respectfully. "I will try to follow your advice, though I don't know if I will ever be able to completly stop worrying about it"
( The literal Sun, god of SunClan cats, and part time therapist to his worshipers. xD )
"Worrying never stops completely. However, recognizing why you're doing something, and not letting it overwhelm you goes a long way to helping you overcome your fears and live your life, rather than living to chase a dream that may never come true." The deity nodded slightly, though there was some hypocrisy to his own statement. The Sun was at war with his brother, and if one let him, he'd talk strategy and murder of the Moon all day. Of course, most cats found it incredibly boring, and the SunClan cats didn't really have to deal with that particular thing in life. It was only in death they had to fight in their war, in between everything else, of course.
(Well he is good at it!) Romancepaw nodded, a peace falling over him at the deity's words. "Thank you for taking your time to speak with me, I know that you are very busy" he bowed deeply taking a few steps back, but waited to be dimissed.

( I think you pick up some tricks over a few millennia of dealing with others' problems. xD )
"If I were to busy to talk to you, what kind of deity would I be?" It was key to keeping followers to let them know you existed. Also a good way to scare them into submission, but namely to give them something tangible to focus on. He nodded to the apprentice however, signaling that the tom was allowed to leave if he so wished. Not that the Sun God minded the company.
Romancepaw wasn't sure about what to do next. He didn't really have any where that he needed to be, but he also didn't want to be rude. After all, being rude to the Sun God usually would end up in an inferno.

"Why don't you come with me?" The deity suggested abruptly. "Go cause some trouble or something? Get your mind off things." Besides, he really wanted to burn some things down.
He almost couldn't believe his ears. Was the Sun God really inviting him to come along on an adventure? "Yes, absolutly. It would be an honor to accompany you Sir!!!" he stammered. He had always heard that the Sun God was willing to offer guidance to those that had sought him out, but this was another level that he hadn't been expecting.
It wasn't often he took the SunClan cats on adventures. But even he got bored of making trouble on his own, and if nothing else, Romancepaw was sure to be awed by just about anything he did, and the deity did love to be the center of attention. "Alright then, we've no time to waste. Let's go!" Rising to his paws and leaping down from the rock in one swift movement, his fire laced tail gave one beckoning flick as he headed north towards the border. The best fun to be had was that in which others didn't know who he was.
The young white tom bounced behinds the Sun God, even though he was trying to contain himself. What kind of adventures would the Sun God find entertaining? "You got it!"
The moment they crossed the border, Romancepaw was no longer following the visage of a deity he knew. He was looking at a golden tom with long fur, especially thick and a few shades darker around his neck like a mane, though his gaze still glimmered in that intense shade of amber that burned bright as the Sun himself. More than that, he was no longer massive, but the size of the apprentice beside him, his features youthful, almost childish in fact. "Can't have cats going around wondering what's going on with me looking like that." He commented, clearly talking about his previous form.
Roamncepaw barely flinched as the sun god changed forms. It wasn't the first time he had seen the sun god in a different form, though it never ceased to amaze him. It was magic, pure and simple. He couldn't explain, and he didn't even attempt to understand it. "That would probably raise some questions" he giggled
