Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She’d been a loner for too long. She longed for companionship. For a better life, for so much. Lily breathed in slowly, and took that first step. The step across the border to a clan she had been informed was called WaterClan. It seemed fitting. She had a nice sleek pelt, and her legs were strong. For swimming, and she knew how to catch fish, so that was a plus, right? Yet... as she crossed the border, her heart was still hammering and she was nervous.
Without warning a sleek black and ginger tortoiseshell appeared behind Lily; the loner so caught up in her own thoughts that she never heard or noticed the other she-cat approaching. A warm, friendly smile and bright, sunny eyes granted a bit of ease, although the warrior's claws were out also, digging into the soil absentmindedly. Not bothering to wait for a reply, the mysterious she-cat continuded in a sing-song voice; "Ya know this land belongs to a bunch'a cats, right? I should know, I'm one of em'! The name's Yuccablossom! Normally I'd tell srangers to run off of our territory, but you seem like ya need something, so I'll hear ya out."
She jolted, eyes wide as she spun around. Lily hadn’t expected to be confronted so soon. Her heart was pounding, but she forced herself to stay calm. “Er... yea I know...” she paused, looking the cat over. “I uh... wanted to join..”
Yuccablossom let out a gasp of surprise as her smile grew into an estatic grin. "Oh. My. Starclan. That's fantastic!" Nearly bursting with happiness, the excitable she-cat circled around Lily a couple of time, observing her from different angles. "And you're just in luck too! Waterclan's had a bit of a rough winter, so our leader, Violetstar, said that we should let in as much help as we can get! A lot of the other clans are so picky about allowing strangers and all that, I've never understood it..." After a few dizzying moment, she finally stopped in her tracks, relaizing something.
"Oh, right! I haven't gotten your name! How rude of me, I'm so sorry!"
“L-lily...” She muttered, ears folded back as she attempted to take in this cat’s rather bright personality. She’d never heard a cat so happy and nice all the time. Then again... she’d never really been around that many cats herself either.. “oh..”
It didn't take a genius to realize the poor dear was getting a bit overwhelmed, so Yuccablossom decided to turn her excitment down a couple notches, and only scream happily on the inside. She took a few deep breaths in and out, before taking a seat besides Lily. "Sorry about that, my family tends to think I'm a bit too cheerful sometimes. I get carried away real easily." Turning away, she bent her head down and gave her light, tortoiseshell pelt, that was more pale orange than it was black, a few good licks. That was a way her uncle taught her to help calm herself.
"Okay...soooooo," she began, glancing back at the other she-cat with a more reserved smile, though it was still pretty bright and friendly. "Lily, right? How much do you know about the clans that live here? I mean, like I said, you're obviously more than welcome with us, but I'd just like to make sure you know what you're getting into. There's a lot of weird rumors that go around the twolegplace about our way of life."
Her furs seemed to lay a little more flat now that the feline had seemed to calm herself down a little. Lily breathed in and attempted to smooth her thoughts over. “Right...” as she listened to the warrior she found herself smirking only a little. “You think that I am a kittypet? Why?” Was it because she actually seemed wel fed? Lily definitely knew how to hunt herself, and was nothing near starved.
