Eternalstar sat on the border, having heard of Moonclan's defeat but then rise. The clan a phoenix rising from their ashes and drawing the sleeping dragon of Eternalstar's attention.

Swiftstar had been hunting near the edge of the MoonClan border, his body hidden in the cover of night. His ear perked up at the sound of a cat nearby.
He stood up and looked cautiously in the direction, only to find Eternalstar sitting at the border. He padded up to her casually. "Goodnigh, Eternalstar. What has compelled you to come to MoonClan?" He asked curiously.
"Ah! Just the tom I was looking for!" Eternalstar crowed, though somehow her voice was still soft enough not to disturb the stillness of the night. "I was in the neighborhood..." She started before trailing off with a laugh. "I kid, I kid. No I'm actually here for a rather serious question... Are the rumors of your encounter with Sunclan and Foxstar true?"

He laughed softly. "Ah yes, that was quite the ordeal. But of course, we managed, I don think they'll be bothering us for a long time."
He sighed. "So how are things going in your clan? I know the Gathering is coming up soon, but I haven't been able to catch up with the other clans for a while now."
"Things are... fine." She responded after a long moment of consideration. "They are rather mundane right now, the same old same old." She admitted with an airy laugh, looking at him out of the corner of her eye to see if she had caught his attention."I'm glad you and your clan are alright. It would have been a shame if you had been put out of commission before I got a chance to know you."

He nodded. "Say, it would be rude of me not to offer you anything." Swiftstar stated as he quickly went over to find the rabbit he had caught earlier.
"Here, have as much as you'd like. Prey is quite plentiful nowadays. Though, I still prefer fish." He settled down to tuck into a piece of the hind leg.
"Oh? Well I assume after the other clans cleared out of your territory it must be like a whole new world." She rationalized as she dipped her head in thanks for the prey. Dipping her head to take a bite the the rabbit he had gifted her, hoping her comment yielded something.

"Oh, absolutely." He said. After a few moments of silence, he broke it with his question. "So, I'm new at this whole leadership and being the most important cat in the clan. How do you do it? I feel like I'm pretending to be something I'm not, even though the Moon God said that I was the one to lead." He sighed heavily. "It's strange..."
His words were more apt than the tom might ever realize. What with Eternalstar having earned leadership simply by pretending and manipulating those important enough to get her there. SHe had been playing the part ever since, only letting a few see through her and at who she really was. Swiftstorm would not be one of them. "It gets a little easier every day. It helps if you have a trusted deputy and medicine cat to help you." She lied. In truth she hated Fawnheart and treated Cardinalheart like a puppet.
