Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Tunnel duty. She hated tunnel duty. Mercenary Hera sighed as she made her way through the tunnels inspecting them for cracks or weaknesses that might result in a cave in. It was slow work, but she supposed it was better than having nothing at all to do today. A border patrol would have been nice honestly, but she really couldn't complain when the orders had come down from her superiors. What was she even supposed to do if she found a crack? Sure she could fix it, but it was much easier to do when there were two mercenaries working together. She supposed she would just have to make do. After all, everyone else was most likely busy.

"You look d-dejected," Guider Lasha remarked blandly as he approached the mercenary. He usually wasn't one to wander aimlessly around the tunnels, but it had been a slow day for the Regime guiders, and his patience had run out immediately after a 'herb fight' between two of the younger guiders had gotten out of hand. "What does a merc like you have to do to get a partner for t-tunnel duty, is that what you're thinking?" He'd gained some confidence in himself after finding a mate, and though it had gotten somewhat better through the years, his stutter still remained a thorn in his side.
"Hm?" Hera paused and glanced back to see who was speaking to her. She then turns back to continue her work. "Sure it's slow work without a partner, but the others have their own duties." She kept her eyes focused on her work as she went to smooth a bit of mud into a crack she had spotted just above her head. She paused after a moment, realizing that he might have needed her for something. Some raisers and guiders preferred to have a mercenary with them when they went above ground after all. "Did you need something?" Her tone was perhaps a bit disinterested, but this was mostly because she had gone back to eyeing the walls for more cracks.
