Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Raiser Irena," meowed the brownish-black she-cat as she approached the raiser. Her voice had neither a positive nor negative tone to it. It was completely neutral, just like her face was. Perhaps this was a problem; wasn't the head of medicine meant to be particularly friendly? Viviana wasn't. "I was wondering if you'd be willing to go on a walk? I have some questions for you. You are not in trouble, of course, but I am curious about some things only you could know the answer to."

"Uh..." Irena paused, giving Viviana a blank stare. You're not in trouble sounded a little too similar to something you'd say if you were speaking to someone who was in trouble, wasn't it?" Nevertheless, she eventually nodded and rose to her paws. "Sure," she agreed, "though I'm not sure if there's any answers I possess that you couldn't get from anyone else..."

"You were in a situation that no one else has been in recently, have you not?" She flashed a smile, but the smiles that came on her fface were not cheerful. They were haunting, in a way. This wasn't to say that she was a villain, necessarily, but she sure didn't have the smile of a hero. "This way," she meowed, before disappearing into the tunnels."

Irena blinked. It wasn't like she really wanted to talk about it, but...well, Viviana was right, wasn't she? "Whatever," the former spy murmured, slinking into the tunnels as she followed after the she-cat. Now that Irena wasn't a spy anymore, she didn't really have a reason to hide herself from others - beside her own general asocial qualities, but she was beginning to find that wasn't going to cut it as an excuse. "Can I at least get a guarantee I'm not going to get interrogated, prisoner-style?"

"I don't particularly care about the things that don't directly involve medicine, if that gives you any sollace," the she-cat meowed over her shoulder. "I just want to know about medicines of Absum Lux. You may not even be able to provide me with anything useful," she meowed with a shrug, as if she hadn't just really doubted Irena's use. "I promise you you're not going to be interrogated like a prisoner. I was thinking more like... we could have lunch and chit chat, hmm?"

Irena's eyes widened slightly as Viviana's words brought up memories of her conversation - if you could call it that - with Soul. "Lunch and a chit-chat sounds good," she agreed uneasily. "Vaguely pleasant, even. You'll have to take the lead on the questions, though...I don't know enough about medicine to know what's relevant."

She let out a laugh, a deep throaty noise. "If we are being completely honest with ourselves, I'm not sure that I know much more than you." She almost purred at the thought, but thought better of it at the last second. She sighed, before the duo made it to where Viviana had a set of voles waiting. "After you," she instructed, waving Irena into the dead end with her tail.

Irena gave the older cat a vague smile, which probably came out more like a grimace, as she padded into the dead end and sat down. Dead end? Maybe I am getting murdered after all. "What do you want to know first, then?" she asked, getting straight to the point. She eyed the voles laid out in front of her. At least I get a last meal.

Amusement resonated in Viviana's gaze as she watched Irena try and piece together what exactly was going on. Of course, this wasn't the most convincing set up to suggest Viv wasn't going to hurt her, but she had no reason to. She was just generally curious. "Did you have any direct contact with their medical staff? I suppose that is a good question to start with."

Oh, good, Irena thought, so we're getting right into it, then. How was she supposed to answer that? Was Viviana asking because she wanted to find out about Absum Lux's herbs, their setup, their superstitions? Or did she already know what had been special about Irena's visit to the healer, and would get annoyed if Irena rattled off all the crap she saw in the medicine den? In the end, she settled for a simple response. "...Yes," she replied. Hey, ask a closed question, get a closed answer.

Viviana narrowed her eyes slightly. So, that was how we are going to play it, huh? Very well, two could play at that. She stayed silent for a moment, making sure that Irena did not plan to elaborate on her own, before speaking again. "And, in what capacity was the interaction?" That question was not closed, and would require Irena to give her at least a full sentence, not just a word.
