Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This thread will take place during the Pride’s occupancy of MoonClan, Burningstar decides to pay a visit and hears crying near the MoonClan camp. She decides to investigate and sees some or all of her kits simplylight @ian ComplacentDevil and about and one of them tripped. Anyone can join and demand what the NightClan leader is doing with MoonClan kits)
Foxstar would never cease to surprise Burningstar. Thanks to the SunClan leader’s actions, MoonClan was now a ‘colony’ of the pride. Though the territory was meant more for DayClan to use as they struggled with acquiring prey during leaf bare on their own territory.
From what Glowstar had said the arrangement of DayClan being out in the day to hunt and MoonClan being out at night prevented confrontations. But Burningstar wanted to make sure MoonCkan wasn’t thinking of trying anything like setting up traps or plotting an amousy. They knew DayClan was arguably the prides weakest link at the moment with their territory so compromised during leafbare.
So Burningstar decided she’d take a look around get a feel for the territory.
As she was walking she heard a squeaking cry. Which made her stop ears swiveling towards the source before she turned and headed that way. The cry now shifting into softer cries of a kit in distress and the NightClan leader quickened her pace before halting when she saw the kitten.
a ginger and black tortoiseshel was sitting near a bush holding her paw that seemed to have gotten scratched by the bushes sharp bare branches.
Fierykit.
Without thinking, Burningstar immediately went to her daughter and sweeped her up into her tail. “You poor thing, what’s wrong? Did you scrape your paw dear?” She asked softly.
Fierykit blinked turning to look at the strange... yet also somewhat familiar ginger she cat who’s tail wrapped around her and bent down to give her a gentle lick. Sniffling the little kit held up her paw which had a small scratch a small bead of blood on the pad.
“Oh, that must’ve hurt.” Burningstar noted bending down and giving the kits pad a gentle lick to clear away the blood and sooth her. “But it’s okay, just a little scrape. Where’s your father little one? Does he know you’re out?”
Fierykit blinked up at her then ducked her head embarrassed. She’d wanted to go check and see if it was safe to go this way to make sure Ashkit wouldn’t be leading their siblings somewhere dangerous and that stupid branch had been too close and hurt her paw.
"Fierykit, why didn't you wait up ?" sang the voice of another kitten as he tumbled into the scene in a manner that was probably the exact opposite of graceful. "You said we could go out together !" He hadn't noticed the other cat before he basically ran into her. His eyes were wild. "Hey !" he squeaked to his sister again. "Did you make a friend without me? She smells kinda funny..." His voice trailed, as he gave the leader another sniff. More often than not, it seemed, cats that smelled funny were wandering in the territory. At least that meant he could make friends of all sorts ~!
He then looked at the bigger cat, a smile on his face. "Hi, Smelly ! I'm Burningkit," he purred, before looking back at Fierykit. It was only then that he noticed his sister was hurt ; it was growing clear very quickly that he wasn't the fastest cat to notice things.
Burningstar turned to her son amber eyes filled with emotion. She let out a soft purr, "It's nice to meet you Blazingkit, I'm..." your mother. She added silently a thorn in her heart that she couldnt say as much. "I am Burningstar of NightClan, your sister here tread on a sharp branch." She noted unwrapping her tail around Fierykit and nudging her daughter back to her son so she could get a better look at the pair of them.
Fierykit huffed, "The branch came at me. I had to try and move it or else say Blazingkit or Ashkit could've taken their eye out!" She declared.
Burningstar nodded, "Of course, of course, though does your father know you're out of the camp?" She asked tilting her head.
Fierykit hesitated and glanced to Blazingkit to see what to say.
"What is going on here?" Came the harsh voice of a beautiful dark ginger she-cat with turquoise eyes. Flamingsoul marched right up to the Nightclan leader with no fear. She shoved her body between Burningstar and the kittens protectively.
Burningstar bristled at the MoonClan cat coming between her and her kits. Though she quickly forced it to lie flat and she straightened up. "I found these kits wandering around, and one of them," She gestured to Fierykit, "Wound up getting a hurt paw! You'd think MoonClan would take better care of their kits! They're your clans future!" She said a note of anger.
She also had to wonder where Devilhorns was... had he left the kits unattended?

Quietstep rushed through the forest, following the scents of the lost kits.
"Fierykit! Ashkit! Blazingkit! Scorchedkit!" She called, frantically looking for them. There were too many kits to take care of, and Goldenage and Mistflower could help only so much.
She spotted Flamingsoul and the kits first, relief rushing through her. That feeling quickly passed when she spotted Burningstar. But of course, her first concern was the kits.
"Oh there you are! Thank the Moon God!" She cried out, wrapping herself around the two kits. Fear pierced her heart. "Flamingsoul, where are the other two?" She glared at Burningstar accusingly.
"I could ask why these two were out to begin with," Burningstar's voice was tight, the ginger she cat fighting to resist the urge to shove Flamingsoul and Quietstep aside and gather up her kits. "Fierykit had a scratch from a branch! You need to keep a better eye on them!" She said.
Fierykit huffed, "Ashkit and Scorchedkit are behind they said theyd catch up." She grumbled to Quietstep. "But Burningstar helped with my paw."
"I'm sorry, Quietstep. I only just found them..." She appologized before turning an accusing glare at Burningstar, "with her." She barred her teeth and bristled, "you have no right to tell us how to care for our kits. It was just a scratch. He just needs to toughen up a bit. Thats what's wrong with your pathetic clan! You coddle your members, causing them to be weak!" Flamingsoul didnt gave a filter for her mouth. When she gets wound up, she cant control what comes out. "Get out of here. You dont belong here." She hissed, coming muzzle to muzzle with the Nightclan leader.
Burningstar cocked her head amber eyes gleaming with bemusement. "Oh, and what does that make you? You must be lower than pathetic considering that the pride now owns you." Though her eyes were bemused her gaze shifted to her children. She was becoming annoyed. "You are not a queen, nor do you have any understanding of how to raise kits clearly," She meowed to Flamingsoul. "I have raised 5 kits on the other hand and all of them are faring well as is my clan, unlike yours. Your clan was wise enough to know bloodshed is pointless during this period... But I recommend you keep your claws in. This is Pride land. And I am one of the three Pride Leaders. I may go wherever I please, and." She glanced down at her kits. "If I believe MoonClan to be failing so miserably at taking care of their kits and elders. I may have the Pride take over such care. And you lot can enjoy tearing yourselves apart to try and toughen up." Her posture hadn't changed but her tone of voice had become icy.
MoonClan had undoubtedly heard of how SunClan had robbed DayClan and SpringClan of their kits. MoonClan had been spared that (partially because Burningstar's own litter was tucked among their ranks) but that could easily change with how Flamingsoul was talking. She would not accept such a brutish way to raise kits.
She glanced at Quietstep, "You are one of the queens no, is that a view shared by the ones responsible for raising MoonClan kits? That kits should suffer and bleed alone with no comfort or care?" Burningstar asked sharply. If Quietstep supported Flamingsoul, Burningstar was taking Blazingkit and Fierykit right then and there. She'd come back with Glowstar and Foxstar to fetch the rest of her kits and Devilhorns later if she had to. But if the queens were ignoring her kits that was unacceptable. She'd rather face her own consequences than to leave her kits to suffer.

Quietstep's fur bristled in fury. She stood up to stand in front of the young warrior and the two kits. "How dare you." She spat.
"If the Pride hadn't taken over, we wouldn't have to worry about not having enough warriors to hunt for our elder, queens, and kits. If the Pride hadn't taken over, we'd still have our friends by our sides. If the Pride hadn't taken over, Asphodel's kits would still have a mother and maybe these kits, too." She said fiercely as she gestured to the two kits.
"Devilhorns never explained what happened, but I still love these kits with all my heart, as well as Goldenage's and Asphodel's and mine. And these kits are tougher than you will ever be."
Quietstep stepped closer to Burningstar and whispered in her ear. "Don't think I didn't smell the stink of NightClan on these kits when they came to me. I don't know who the mother is, but these kits are MoonClan's." She stepped back and shielded the three before speaking again.
"Nevermind that right now though, what we need to focus on is finding the other two kits."
Burningstar narrowed her eyes. "You should be careful in making such a claim over them, when you have nothing to back it up. I will be keeping a close eye on those kits, and if I deem MoonClan too unfit, they will be taken to a better place. But as you noted we have two kits to find." She said simply. "Now then, show how much you care and let's find them. Or we could continue to argue, possibly even fight, and then I'd just take the two, and bring back a patrol for the rest." She said flatly.
She got to her paws, flicking her tail for Quietstep to lead the way.
Flamingsoul had let Quietstep take over. She had heard the part about smelling Nightclan on the kits but nothing more. If the queen was correct, then what made Nightclan any better than them? Obviously someone had given their kits up and Moonclan had been the ones to care for them. Who was she to question them about the proper way to care for kits?
She shook the thoughts away when she heard Quietstep mention finding the kits. She turned to one of the kits behind them. "Fierykit, you said they were catching up. Where exactly did you leave them?"

Quietstep looked around sniffing the air, desperately looking for a scent. She pointed towards the lake. "The scent goes off that way." She said as she scooped up Blazingkit and followed the scent.
Flamingsoul grabbed Fierykit and followed Quietstep in the direction of the scent, leaving the Nightclan leader behind. Whether she wanted to follow or not, that was her business. However, she was sure to continue this later once they found the missing kits.
