Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Skykit's head was turned towards the lightstone. In a few days time, her aunt would be getting up on that rock and making her and her siblings apprentices.
There had been mutterings of course, cats wondering if Skykit would hold up. Her mother had coddled her during most of her time during the nursery. Only when she started hanging out with Brightpaw when she'd been a kit had Skykit really been able to do anything.
And though she'd reassured her friend that it was great she was going to be a medicine cat. Skykit did miss her friend, miss that she wasn't going to have her friend training alongside her.
They'd talked excitedly about being partners, working together to get stronger and stronger. A possibility that with Brightpaw seemed real.
But now without her... Skykit's ears lowered as she tilted her head back towards where the scent of the rock seemed to get more faint. Could she really get up there and be made an apprentice? could her mentor train her to be a warrior despite her disability?
Spiderpaw couldn't help but notice the young kit staring upwards. He wasn't sure what she was thinking about, since she couldn't see... but whatever it was she looked rather sad. He didn't normally out of his way to comfort others, but he had heard that he best friend had recently beome an apprentice without her.
Before he knew it, he found himself heading in her direction, "Hey, I have to carry some fresh moss to the elders den. Want to lend me a helping paw?" It might not be the most comforting words, but he hoped the idea of being able to help would get her to at least open up a little to him
Skykit's ears twitched, pivoting towards him. "Uh, sure." She said turning towards him. Though she normally balked at the idea of doing someone else's work... showing that she could at least do things like a normal apprentice might further help her case to be allowed to become an apprentice proper. So she got to her paws. "Where's the moss?" She asked immediately set on doing this task.
