Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Chaoticpaw gave his Clanmates dark stares as he padded into the apprentices' den, ignoring the snickers that followed him throughout camp. So what if he'd fallen into that ditch and gotten covered in mud? It happened to everyone at some point in their lives, didn't it? He grunted, trying to curl up in his nest and disappear as best as he could. He was fine - he'd already made a mental note of who exactly had laughed at him, and vowed to push them into a ditch, after all. It was only a question of when.
Foxpaw lifted his head and peered over at Chaoticpaw from his nest which laid not too far crom him. "Chaoticpaw? What happened?" He let out a large yawn, revealing tiny sharp teeth.
Chaoticpaw growled as his fellow apprentice approached him. "Don't act like you don't know," peering at Foxpaw's sharp teeth dubiously. "Even if you didn't, don't tell me you couldn't work it out just from looking at me..."
Foxpaw's sleepy eyes tried to focus on his denmate. "Your not hurt are you?" He noticed how upset Chaoticpaw was and didnt want to make him feel worse.
Chaoticpaw fell silent for a few seconds, before growling out an answer. "Fine," he seethed, "but if you speak a word of this to anyone I'll....I'll....I'll do something really drastic, okay?!?!"
Foxpaw offered a warm smile and nodded in agreement to Chaoticpaw's threat," Okay." He knew his clanmate's pride had been broken and he wanted to help. He began licking the mud off of his clabmate's face. "I know you fell but what happened exactly?" He asked in between licks.
Chaoticpaw gave the tom a glare, but only hesitated for a few seconds before answering his question. "The ditch," he said, sighing as he did so. "I fell. Into it. Into the ditch. And now I'm here, covered in...gross ditch stuff." He wrinkled his nose. "And now it's kinda on you, too."
Foxpaw purred, looking down at himself as mud plastered his chest fur. "Thats okay. But you have a little scratch right here" he pointed out with his paw, parting his fur on his shoulder. "Do you want to go see the medicine cat?"
Chaoticpaw made a face. He didn't want to go to the medicine cat for a mere scratch, but at the same time, he didn't really want to die of some nasty infection quite yet either. "Is it bleeding? A lot?" he asked begrudgingly.
Foxpaw shook his head, "no but you should eventually see the medicine cat" He contiued licking the mud off Chaoticpaw. The smell made him want to gag but he knew he couldn't. "Were you hunting?" He asked, hoping that he was intruding in on the other apprentice's life.
"...Maybe," Chaoticpaw muttered. In reality, he'd thought he'd seen a dog far off in the distance, and had started off running - upon further inspection it had turned out to just be a bush, but Foxpaw had given him an out, and Chaoticpaw would be a fool to not take it. "Was chasing a...rabbit, and I wasn't looking where I was going. Or something like that."
"That happens a lot" Foxpaw answered, not catching the lie. "I cant tell you how many times I have fallen while chasing something. Ive seen full grown warriors come back covered in stuff from having an accident while hunting" he let out an amused purr. "We all go through embarrassing things. But thats what builds our character."
He finally finished cleaning off his clanmate, "There you go. That should be better." Then he began cleaning himself.
