Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Quietnight slipped from the medicine cat den, heading towards the leaders. It was late, most cats would were starting to head to their dens to settle for the night. Which is why Quietnight thought it the perfect time to seek out Solsticestar and hopefully catch her alone. When the leader announced her as the new medicine cat apprentice she had been taken by surprise, having not had any particular interest in it and because she hadn't felt she qualified.
The tortiseshell she-cat hadn't been born into Earthclan and more importantly she was pregnant; and not with Earthclan kits either. Though she supposed since they would be born into Earthclan they would be Earthclan kits all the same. "Solsticestar." She called softly from the shadows outside the leaders den, blending in with her dark pelt as she didn't want others to see her lurking and start rumors. The clan was doubtful of her position enough as it was.
The leader opened her eyes, scrambling into a sitting position. “Come in!” She called to the she-cat, eyes scanning the moss. In truth, the leader had randomly chose the two medicine cats, not thinking about how qualified they were.
Waiting for the last of the dusk patrol to gather so she could give them their task, Seablossom spotted Quietnight lurking near Solsticestar's den. What could the medicine cat apprentice be doing at this time of night? Near the leader den at that? It looked as though the she-cat was going to enter the den but did that mean Solsticestar ill? She'd seemed fine when Seablossom had spoken to her earlier in the day but maybe she was wrong and had missed something. Distracted by the last of the patrol arriving, she missed Quietnight slipping into the den. Once the patrol left she'd make her way towards the den as well to make sure everything was alright.
"How are you tonight?" Quietnight asked a little awkwardly, not wanting to just right into the purpose of her visit. She felt the need to ease into it otherwise it might seem as if she was just dumping her problems and worry on the leader. "I trust things are all right in the world?" Her tail flicked as she obviously struggled with nerves.
"I'm pregnant." Quietnight spoke, her tone flat as her eyes pinned the leader down. "This seems counterproductive to being the new medicine cat apprentice." She added, seemingly unbothered by the fact. And in truth she was, her thought being that if Starclan had wanted her as medicine cat apprentice they must not care about the kits she was carrying, but even if starclan didn't care the clan sure would if they were to find out.
The leader fell silent and still at the announcement. Well we can’t have that...” her voice was a murmur as she spoke, humming thoughtfully. “What if I took them in as my own?” In all honesty, Solsticestar didn’t have much experience raising kits, but it couldn’t be too hard, right?
Seablossom walked into the den just as Solsticestar spoke, confused as to what had transpired before she'd arrived. "Solsticestar? Quietstep? Is something going on? Is someone injuried?" She was concerned, what did SOlsticestar mean by taking them in? Were there rogues nearby, loners, kits left for dead? It was known to happen, her own grandmother had been born a loner before being accepted into EarthClan and then made its medicine cat. Deciding she didn't care what the situation was, "what can I do to help?"
