Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was strange, Lemonburst had decided, to be a FallClan warrior again. Only a few moons earlier he had vowed to never return, yet he'd found himself back here somehow. Perhaps it was simply his fate to remain here until he died, always dragged back to the Clan he was born in no matter how far he tried to walk the earth.
...Or alternatively, maybe he was just a sap who couldn't let go of the past. Plus, he'd been kicked out of SpringClan, so, y'know. He kind of had to go, or risk almost-certain death at the paws of Eternalstar. But still, he'd chosen FallClan, hadn't he?
Or maybe FallClan chose you, Lemonburst thought to himself, before he groaned and screwed up his face in annoyance. Shut up, me. You're becoming a walking cliche. Grunting to himself as he rose heavily to all four paws, he padded out of the FallClan camp and into the territory. Perhaps he'd be able to clear hi headasfter a short walk.
"You look like you've got a lot on your mind," meowed a she-cat as she padded up. There was practically no way that anything about him made him look like he wanted to have a casual chat, but Gardeniasmoke was, in general, terrible at reading the emotions of other cats. "Or, at least that's what Lupinefaith told me." Perhaps the reason that she couldn't read other cats was just because she couldn't see. Yes, that could be a big part of it. "He was pretty much done with me bothering him, so he told me you looked like you could use a conversation partner." She let out an awkward laugh, shifting her weight.
"If you want, I can let you think, but if my eyes," meaning her brother, "are right, maybe some company could be good for you?"
Lemonburst gave her a withering look, which he kept up for an embarrassingly long time before he realised Gardeniasmoke probably wasn't able to really understand the sheer intensity of it. "I don't know," he muttered, clearly irritated - but then again, being irritated was par for the course with Lemonburst. Sure, it was annoying to be approached by someone he barely knew while he was in a bad mood and not even be able to glare at her properly, but he was already annoyed anyway. "I don't really want company, but I can't stop you from going out there by yourself and coincidentally going the exact same way as me."
Gardeniasmoke tilted her head slightly, considering these words. So, Lupinebreath had set her up, had he? She frowned at the sort-of-rejection, her shoulder's instantly slumping. "Oh," she meowed, her tone growing quite sad quite fast. "Well, I mean, I didn't mean to uh bother you," she meowed, taking a few steps back. She looked small in these moments, momenst were other cat's tones seemed unhappy. It was more than likely a defense mechanism, to become small to prevent getting clubbed. "I'll just.... let you be."
Lemonburst growled low in his throat. "No, I just said you could - okay," he said, taking a deep breath. "Let me retract my previous statement. I've changed my mind. Come with me. This isn't a joke." Were there any other way the she-cat could misinterpret him? Well, if there is, I'll definitely find out....
When he growled, she jumped back a little bit, slinking even lower to the ground, almost like a child would when scolded. When he started talking, though, she tried to straighten up a bit. She still wasn't a very big cat, going up maybe to his shoulder. "Oh," she repeated, trying to revert to her chipper self. "Oh, okay. This could be fun," she tried, but the words tumbled awkwardly out of her mouth. Okay, Gardenia, get it together, she thought to herself with narrowed eyes. She then let out her most convincing smile. "Okay, this will be fun. Where were we, you, I, we," she meowed, trying to figure out which one exactly was the suitable, "going?"
Lemonburst stifled an aggravated sigh. Perhaps his sudden impulse to be generous for once hadn't been the most well-timed. "I don't know," he said, exhaling sharply through gritted teeth. "I was planning to do some aimless wandering, actually. You know, the real angsty, self-indulgent kind?" he asked.
