Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Sunpaw sat purring in the weak late leafbare sun just outside the apprentices' den, relishing how it warmed her fur and set her golden speckles aglow. Newleaf felt like it was finally coming.
*I woke up from my sleep. Blinking my eyes slowly and rose out of my nest, and out of the den. I stretched and then moved over to the opposite side of where Sunpaw sat, to groom myself and get myself to wake up more.*
"Morning!"
*I said politely to her, though it came out a little grouchy.*
Sunpaw purred with amusement at her friend's grogginess. She had always had very little trouble rising early. "Good morning!" She responded. "Did you sleep alright?"
*I headed in the direction of the mouse and crouched down low. I kept my good eye and my ears alert. I paused under a bush and then gathered up my hindlegs then leaped for the mouse, pinning it to the ground. I grasped it in my teeth and bit down hard. I felt the mouse go limp and I rose to my full length and headed back to the spot I was before, burying the mouse under a bush, to get back later on the way home.*
Sunpaw prepared her pounce but hesitated too long. The wind changed and the squirrel caught her scent. The dratted thing was up a tree before Sunpaw could blink. She sighed irritably as she turned back.
*I continued on my hunt. Catching a mouse, a rabbit, a bird, and a few snakes. I missed a few preys, but it was because of my blind side, which I just shrugged off and continued. By the time I got back, the sun was close to setting and I had a lot of prey to carry. I sat and waited for Sunpaw to return, so we could go back together.*
Sunpaw returned soon, looking pleased with herself. She hadn't caught quite as much, but her luck had very apparently picked up after the lost squirrel. She had caught a squirrel to make up for her lost one, three birds, and two rabbits.
