Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eternalstar was slipping away from Winterclan on slow steps, careful of the snowy slopes and watching her step as best as she could through the lightly flurry that had seemingly started from nowhere. She couldn't wait to be back into Springclan territory, she hated winter. But she was learning she hated winter in Winterclan even more. Still, it was worth it if only to keep an ear next to Leatherstar, to keep herself within his scope of interest. She needed to plan for every eventuality.
The border was now in sight and Eternalstar hummed to herself lightly, rather pleased with having managed to get out of Winterclan territory on her own without being spotted, though she might have spoken too soon.

The Jarls ears perked. Some movement peaked his interest, and although border patrols weren't really a big thing in Winterclan, he knew if someone had crossed them. He wasnt keen on violence, and since they moved into getting their freshkill from raids rather than hunting patrols, there was really not much issue with loners taking a mole or two out of their territory. He just liked to watch.
Sweetpine trailed the stranger for a little bit, wondering why he felt a pang of remembrance from this cat. He wondered who it was. He didnt bother being quiet about it either, knowing well that most of the time noise would just scare them off faster.
She had ignored it as long as she could but it had reached a point where her curiosity was outweighing her caution. When she drew close enough to the border to flee safely should the need arise she paused and turned around. "Hello." She purred, soft and low; a strange mix between daring and respectful. Whoever was following her probably ranked high enough to make a decision to do nothing about her in their territory and she was curious who it could be. But her mind also whirled as she planned a cover story, tailoring a few options for the possible faces that would greet her. Not that she knew any personally, just little things she had gathered in her time hanging about.

He stopped as she turned, a forepaw still lifted mid-step. He put it down, sinking it hard into the inch of snow beneath him. Emerald eyes narrowing he tried to think about who the voice belonged to. He came up blank. "What are you doing in Winterclans territory?" He asked, his ears folding back slightly. For once he wished that he had brought one of his frozens along with him.
"If I tell you it's top secret will you accept that as an answer?" She wondered, watching the tom who she now recognized to be Sweetpine; their jarl. She wondered how he would react if she told the truth, but knew the safer option would be to flee. Still, she decided to gauge his personality the best he could and make her decision from there. It wouldn't hurt to know and be known by more than Leatherstar in Winterclan.

He let out a short laugh, humour in his tone as he scoffed, "Probably not." His maw was taught, unsure if he should bristle and bare teeth or calm himself. Ahh, he finally recognized her. Eternalstar, the new springclan leader. He remembered her from the brief appearance at the gathering. Now he was really curious what she wanted. "Meeting with Leatherstar?" He asked, much preferring to guide her than let her traipse through their territory by herself.
"A meeting... yes." She decided with a short nod and small soft smile. Done playing around for the moment it seemed, though if one truly knew her they would know that the games never ended with Eternalstar. "Would it be redundant if I asked what you were doing lurking around your border by yourself." The comment made it apparent that the she-cat hadn't realized how long the jarl had already been following her. Either demonstrating a lack of her awareness of a foolish sense of security in Winterclan, something that spoke of her getting to assured in herself and her schemes.

"Youre in my territory, and Im not as forgiving as Leatherstar," he hissed, his voice steady enough to be normal talking, but it hid that hint of aggression he didn't like to show, "You've no right to know, but if you must, know that I'm well allowed to patrol my own territory's borders." He took a small step closer to her, his pelt bristling a bit more, "I would hope that your meeting went well enough that you dont have to return so soon." His ear flicked, tipping his head somewhat as he looked the she-cat over.
Eternalstar didn't know why but she had the urge to laugh, while it truly wasn't a laughing matter. She wondered if it was nerves at Sweetpines sudden aggression or his implication that he would rather not see her again for awhile. Thank-fully she managed to bite down on the urge and scrounge of something of a contrite expression. "My apologies. Though I feel the need to say I think I will be back at-least once or twice. But I shall endeavor to stay on the other side of the border and meet Leatherstar out here. This visit wasn't planned though and I wanted to only speak to him and not get caught out lingering." As far as excuses went they were rather flimsy but Eternalstar felt the need to give the tom something.
