Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Freekit gave a soft little mewl as she stretched from her current position in her warm bedding inside the MoonClan nursery. Her petite body fully rested after a long nights sleep. She'd gone to sleep easily curled up with a few of her fellow den-mates to share the warmth as the Leaffall nights were starting to get colder. But, now as she woke her sleep blurred eyes took in the fact that she was the only one left inside the den. Blinking her large eyes she slowly rose to a standing position, her posture only slightly wobbly as she slowly became fully aware of herself. Her large pointed ears flicked as she stared at the entrance to the Nursery, bright sunlight filtering in.
With a soft little hum, she picked her way around the den, not wanting to step on any of her den-mates nests, as she moved towards the entrance. As she made it out her periwinkle eyes squinted at the sudden brightness of the sun. She stood still for a brief moment giving herself some time to adjust to her surroundings. Her squinted eyes slowly opened as they adjusted and the tiny calico kit turned her gaze around in search for any of her fellow den-mates.
sorry this has taken a bit, i was out of country !
The creature that happened to be the first one Freekit was going to see was kind of a mess. And, that kind of is a bit generous. Who were we kididng? Laurelkit was more than just kind of a mess. She was a hot mess, and even in the morning when most were still groggily waking from peaceful sleep, she was a tornado. After all, she slept very few hours at a time, which meant that she had been up, and causing trouble, since before the sun rose completely in the sky. This made it unsurprising that her furs were a mess and dirt clung to her pelt.
"Yo, Willowkit," she called into the den, "gonna wake up any time soon?" Clearly, she wasn't being nearly as careful to not wake up the others as Freekit had been. In fact, she hadn't noticed Freekit at first at all, until she looked over directly at her. A friendly smile looped over her expression.
"Oh, hiya there!" she meowed brightly to her fellow kitten. "Didn't anyone ever tell you that the early bird gets the worm?" The kitten let out a purr, making it clear that she meant no harm by her comment. Her joking nature was just part of who she was.
The calico kitten had stumbled back a few paw steps at Laurelkit's whirlwind of an entrance. Her large eyes blinking rapidly in surprise. Her tiny heart thundered in her ears. Freekit's whiskers twitched as she noticed she hadn't been seen by Laurelkit just yet and her tensed up body relaxed the fur on her shoulders and back beginning to lie flat once again. Freekit gave another startled jump though this one wasn't as large as the first one hen Laurelkit had finally noticed her. Her loud and cheerful voice causing her ears to twitch at the sudden noise.
But without missing a beat Freekit had returned the other kitten's large smile with a small timid smile of her own. This kit's endless bouts of energy reminded her of Arakit one of the other MoonClan kit's she had encountered. Freekit couldn't hold back the mreow of laughter that left her mouth at what Laurelkit had said. For some reason, the analogy sounded funny to the she-cat's ears. After her little laugh had died down she realized she hadn't spoken a word yet.
"No, nobody's ever told that to me before. It sounds silly" he replied in her soft voice, her eyes wrinkled at the corners with light amusement.
