Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eternalstar slipped through Springclan territory, the sun having not even risen yet. The cold was vicious in it's attempts to force her back to camp, back into the warmth of her den and she pushed through such desires. She had a meeting to attend, an invitation extended days ago, it would be rude for the organizer herself not to show up. So she gritted her teeth, narrowed mismatched eyes and moved on her way to the Summerclan border; to her meeting with Ravenstone.
It would be their first meeting, and Eternalstar was curious what the other was like. She had no whispers of the other, no rumors, and had nothing to base any assumptions on. Going in blind was not her ideal standpoint on anything but she knew this meeting had to happen and she would have to ignore her misgivings.

Ravenstar had been surprised by the sudden invitation to meet with Eternalstar, the new leader of Springclan, but had accepted the offer nonetheless. Listening to the other leader would no harm and perhaps some good could come out of an arrangement between the two clans. The black leader knew of Springclan's recent escape from Sunclan and imagined they were quite paranoid at the moment and she could not blame them. After Sunclan's power move on so many clans she was doing everything to fortify Summerclan's safety and freedom from all other clans.
It was not a particularly long trek and she stopped in some undergrowth just downwind of Eternalstar. She watched the other leader waiting for a few minutes before stepping out. "Eternalstar, it's a pleasure, I hope. I was quite surprised by your offer to meet so early in the morning." It was bitterly cold to top it all off and neither clan was adjusted to such weather quite like a winterclan cat.
"I would rather avoid wandering eyes and perhaps ears listening in where they shouldn't be." Eternalstar replied, "times are uneasy and one can never know who is truly on their side now a days. I rather fear that the alliance might have paws everywhere." So paranoid about the possibility Eternalstar was considering clearing out all of Springclan's older members. Chasing them off and then relying on her alliances to help shield Springclan until she could raise a new generation, a better generation. She would wait for now though, wanting to pull Cardinalstar deeper into her influence and have actual better alliances to lean back on. Maybe when she cleared house she could get Ravenstar to give her some orphan kits. An idea to play with after she gauged the other leader deeper.
"As for it being a pleasure. Well I had hoped I didn't need to make this trip, but with the whispers I fear we're not out of the woods yet and would like to be better prepared. Hence why I approached you." She hoped the other got what she was saying without her spelling it.

Ravenstar nodded, listening carefully to the new leader's words. Indeed, now seemed to be a dangerous times for clans who did not ally themselves with a particular bunch and it may be more important than ever to begin making alliances now. "Yes, I heard of Sunclan's... escapades. I am pleased to hear that Springclan has returned safely and I apologize for not being able to aid you. Summerclan is emerging from some hard times and we could not spare any of our warriors at the time." She chose her words intentionally, every member of her clan was extremely important and she held a high value to each and every one of their paws. "However, we are growing stronger with every sunrise and no clan should be removed from their territory."
"No. No you're right, no clan should suffer as we did." Her voice trailed off as she looked away. For all intents and purposes it appeared as if she spoke from her own bitter memories, but those among Springclan knew Eternalstar wasn't with the clan at the time of imprisonment. She had been off with her fathers group, and while she had suffered while among them she had made that choice to go to them. Could have left them anytime she desired, but she had chosen to stay and learn and take all she could before she finally returned to her home with 3 new additions and big plans. "I hope they have no been infringing on your territory? Now that they have drained Dayclan and Springclan dry."

"Most certainly not. I'm sure you would have heard us if that was the case." After all, Summerclan was not quiet when other's threatened them. They had had a long stretch of peace with the other clans and there had been no battles or wars since she became deputy but the direction was changing and she could feel the tension. Clans were getting antsy and they wanted to start trouble. She doubted Summerclan would be able to stay out of it all if war broke out which is what would make allies very useful.
After a few minutes, she decided she no longer wanted to engage in small talk but would rather get on with it. "Now, tell me. What is the purpose of our meeting this fine morning?"
"I was hoping to affirm an alliance, as well as a few other things." Turning and surveying their surroundings she sat, paws drawn tight and tail curling around them as if to cradle them against her. Eternalstar's one pale green eye and striking golden finally settled on Ravenstar once more as she slowly started speaking once more, words tumbling like large boulders rather than skidding like a rush of pebbles. "A promise of aide among us should the other need it. I was also hoping to secure a show of good will in a pledge to share resources should one of us fall on hard times and the other can provide it."

She listened patiently, taking her time to take in the other leader's words thoughtfully before forming her own response. "I'm listening. What kind of good will?" There certainly would be no foreseeable harm in aligning with Springclan. Summerclan could certainly use some allies in lieu of powerful forces across other borders. They made her increasingly nervous and she was further pushing and encouraging her warriors to have kits in order to prepare more warriors as soon as possible. She refused to train them any earlier than was appropriate, however.
"Perhaps a sharing of prey, perhaps a sharing in knowledge, even a joint training session between some of my warriors and your own.." The words tumbled free with care, set to rest carefully as Eternalstar to care not to seem to eager or to over press. Gauging the others reaction as she didn't want to offer something to large but also wanted to offer something of the right value, which was a delicate mark to find. Much like Ravenstar Eternalstar was trying to encourage kits but had been having little luck; resulting in some darker deeds she knew others wouldn't approve of.
