Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
A slow yawn erupted from Sammy as he rolled over. After a moment, he struggled to his paws, legs aching. He winced slightly as he padded into the camp on gentle, fast paced paws. It had been the first time he had slept in days. The boyar's muscles hurt, and he was getting weaker because of it. Still, with the rain and flooding... he couldn't rest any more than he had to.
Gabriel slowly opened his eyes as his mate left the nest, leaving the entire side of his body cold were the boyar had been pressed against him. Exhaustion stung his eyes as he watched Sammy's form leave the den. Every fiber of his being screaming for him to curl up and go back to sleep. He wouldn't, not while Sammy was working himself half to death. Standing up he lifted the nest every so slightly with one paw while he retrieved a few dark berry's from under the nest. Hooking them on his claws he hobbled out of the den on three legs, coming up behind his mate.
"Here eat these, they're sweet and will make you feel more away until you have a chance to eat." Gabriel meowed sliding the berries off the end of his claws which were now stained purple. There was an unspoken plea in his voice, though he didn't out right ask, he was silently begging his mate to take them. "You're no good to anyone this tired, and there's no chance I can convince you to go back to bed is there?" he asked, with a small smile.
He gave his mate a gentle smile before eating the berries. "I'm sorry, love. This is my responsibility.." His tired eyes shimmered with determination. There were times when he was much too stubborn, and now was one of those times. Still, it was important to him. If even a single clanmate died...
"Okay.." Gabriel said warily. "But, you're going to bed early tonight, you're no good to anyone if you keel over from exhaustion" he mowed firmly, almost daring his mate to challenge him, he didn't care if Sammy was the boyar he still needed to take care of himself. "I know it's your responsibility but, its also the responsibility of every cat, you don't have to do it all by yourself. Put me to work, or Stark even, I think he's starting to get fat from lack of exercise anyway."
