Snow and ice were like a constant terror for the large gruff tom. Hearthfire peered out form the snow den that belonged to the thane's of WinterClan. The den was crowded as a small storm seemed to hang over their home mountain. It was times like these that the tom wanted to curl up in a ball and just forget about the world. However despite the threatening storm he had work to do, He groaned as he made an attempt to push to his paws.
/ ARIZONARASPBERRYSETTING:thane's den + TIME: early morning Arizonaraspberry shuffled farther from the den entrance as she heard movement and gave a quick 'sorry' to whomever was coming out. She wasn't able to sleep much, despite having only slept a couple hours in the past few days.

"No that was me. Sorry." He meowed as she nearly landed on her tail. He blinked as he peered out of the den. "Uhhhg I don't want to go." he looked back at his fellow clan mate.

"To work." he grumbled. "Im on a morning hunting patrol. Do you wanna come with me? At least if we get lost in the snow cat could see your red pelt a mountain away."
Arizonaraspberry blinked in embarrassment. "I kinda of like it.." she said, looking at her fur. It was the same pelt as her mother's. "But sure, I'll join you. I don't have a prison shift. I'd like to get out of the camp."

"I like it too." he meowed without missing a beat. He stepped out into the battering weather. "Then lets go before it gets worse huh?" He pushed the rest of his frame form the hole and padded through the reinforced circles of the camp to reach the entrance.
Arizonaraspberry paused for a moment. No had ever complimented her, let alone her pelt. She wasn't used to reciprocating feelings. Her mother barely acted like she had given birth to her. She shook her thoughts clear and started to quietly follow him. The red she-cat wasn't one for small talk either as the pair walked silently towards the forest.

He stopped when they had crossed into the protective barrier of the forest. "Alright I was thinking we could head down the mountain to the old camp. Since leaf-bare is releasing its hold on the other clans, I'm hoping some of SpringClan's returning prey will have wondered into the meadow." he looked to her with amber and gold eyes. Her opinion valuable to him.
She nodded. "That seems very likely. Perhaps we should split up to cover more ground." she suggested, and began to walk to the other direction.. Hearthfire's compliment long forgotten.
With a few moments to herself, she thought more about the tom who was accompanying her. She didn't hunt much, and with just a few simple words her was able to convince her. Had she been too distracted by his comment on her pelt? She shook her head. She has never been able to imagine herself with another in a romantic way, her stomach full of moving little bundles.. she gave a small smile away to the forest. Perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea. With red-furred kits running around in her mind, she continued forward.
Was I rude? Arizonaraspyberry asked herself. Oh StarClan.. now I'm worried about what he thinks about me. She shook her head and padded farther to the edge the forest where the meadow lay. Sun shone through the trees and made her pelt radiate even more. Scents of prey and flora flooded her nostrils. Hearthfire was right. A few squirrels chattered away in front of her. She lowered her body closer to the ground, her belly just barely touching the earth. As she grew closer and closer, her mouth started to water at the smell of warm prey. She dashed forward and only one squirrel was able to get away. Perhaps an experienced and skilled hunter would have been able to nab both, but as a prison guard, Arizonaraspberry did not have a lot of time to stretch her legs in the forest.
