Usually, Foxstar wasn't care what other cats asked for, but when Solsticestar asked for a meeting, the Priestess simply had to come. It wasn't everyday when one of Lilystar's kits wanted to meet with you, and she couldn't help but feel like she would get some sort of amusement out of this meeting. She could only assume the other leader was going to ask something of her, it only made sense. Who in their right mind would simply want to chat with the SunClan leader? Especially after recent events, what with cursing Deal, and taking a life each from Burningstar and Leatherstar. To say she was causing trouble in the clans was putting it lightly.
Dragonswrath sat next to Foxstar, staring absent-mindedly at the sky. He only looked down once he noticed the fluffy golden she-cat padding towards them. It was almost funny how alike the three of them looked, each possessing the golden fur of Sunclan. Earthclan cats tended to be more brown, so Solsticestar stuck out. Then again, she was a descendant of Sunclan. Maybe that's why she had decided to ask them. One would assume the leader would ask Tsar Kerrigan, since she was the reason she had her position in the first place. Instead, she was sitting in front of the High Priestess and the Soothsayer of Sunclan. "Good afternoon."

Foxstar's head only inclined the slightest bit in response to the feline as she arrived, an expectant look on the Priestess face as she waited for Solsticestar to get to the point. Curious or not, she wasn't about to waste all day on pleasantries she didn't care for, for a cat who had abandoned the clan of her birth. Not that she'd been one to mince words anyway. Curling her tail over her paws, the painted she-cat waited for the other leader to continue. She had some guesses as to what the she-cat could want, all of which gave her a sort of leverage over the other feline that she'd appreciate for the future. Hopefully she guessed right, else this would have been a great waste of time indeed.
The she-cat chewed on her inner lip where the leader couldn’t see as she struggled to find her words. Solsticestar wasn’t the kind of cat to shy away from asking for help, but being in debt to SunClan struck fear in her heart. “Our medicine cats recently died, and it left us with no one knowledgeable about herbs. I have chosen my new medicine cats, but they still need training.” She paused to find her resolve again. “Would you be willing to send a cat to teach them? I would also request that Earthclan and SunClan ally.” She stared at the two cats, nervousness swimming in her gaze.
Dragonswrath’s eyes showed no emotion, though it wasn’t unusual for the older cat. Inside, he found the request reasonable and fairly intriguing at that. The only movement he made was an imperceptible nod, one only the high priestess would have known to look for. In truth, he had always been fascinated with the Earthclan leader. He had helped her numerous times, not for her benefit, but so he could study both her and Earthclan.

( In settings you can enable drafts, so if you lose a reply it will save it and prompt if you wanna use it if you accidentally lose it. c: )
"What benefit would this bring to SunClan, Solsticestar? More than that, what reason do I have to help a cat who left and betrayed their own clan? Your aunt, Narcissus, would certainly ask me to attack you and the clan you lead, and why shouldn't I listen to one of my own clanmates over you? Why should I give you anyone to treat and teach your cats, but therefore leave mine more exposed to sickness?" Foxstar's tone was bored, as though she couldn't care less about the proposal laid out before her. And in a way, she couldn't. She didn't need EarthClan, when she already had an ally in BrookClan, NightClan, and DayClan.
Still, she could already imagine some of the benefits. Namely that Solsticestar would owe her in the future, and whomever she sent would have intimate knowledge of the clan's territory. Ebonygold, a former medicine cat of the very clan currently asking for her aid, knew the land, but he'd never told her of it, and she couldn't say whether or not the information was up to date either. This was a chance to know everything, from where their herbs grew, to how the dens were oriented, in the event that things went south. Not to mention that this, along with her alliance with BrookClan, gave her an easy way to access the Regime. She knew this, but she wanted to know what Solsticestar was willing to offer as the price for a trained cat within SunClan, who was notorious for having cats who could heal. Littlebird, Dragonswrath, Mountainsound, Ebonygold, herself... and to a lesser extent, Twilightbell, Brokenstride, the Janus, and the litter of the two former medicine cats. To say they had no one to spare was a complete and utter lie, and they all knew as much.
Foxdung. This wasn’t something she had thought of, and anxiety filled her stomach. Still, she had to come up with something. She desperately needed medicine cats, and No one in her clan could heal. What did she even have to offer at that? “Aside from aid anytime you need it, we’ll guarantee safe passage through our territory for your warriors.” Her mind was scrambling for more offers.

It was... laughable, really, how terrible this she-cat was at negotiations. You didn't go and ask for things without having something to offer. Not only did it make it harder to get what you want, but it gave whoever you were asking from the chance to take advantage of you. Solsticestar had laid her cards all out on the table already, and Foxstar knew just how desperately she would need the help. She could ask another clan, of course, but in the meantime, everyone from here to the League and back would know the clan was weak and without a healer. That alone was a recipe for disaster. For the moment, the Priestess said nothing, simply raising her brow and letting the EarthClan leader suffer for a few moments as she tried to come up with a better offer. She already had an idea for a counter offer, of course, but she first wanted to see how much the she-cat was willing to give, before tacking on her own desires.

( Fox doesn't exactly make it easy either. Like, she's not just gonna take anything that's actually fair, she's gonna make you sell your soul in the process. cx )
Pity. This had been her chance to come up with something decent enough for the Priestess to accept without any extra conditions. Now, she'd brought herself to the point of either failing or being taken advantage of, and she hadn't even brought anyone to prevent her from getting killed if the fox-hearted leader so wished it. They'd be nearby, but that didn't exactly do much in the moment.
Soft laughter left the she-cat's maw as she leaned back comfortably, the corner of her mouth curling up in a sly smile that suggested to the cat before she should have gone to absolutely anyone else besides the SunClan High Priestess for help. "In addition to unrestricted access to the territory, I want SunClan cats to have the ability to take both prey and herbs from EarthClan's territory without repercussion. As you and I both know, SunClan was feeding DayClan and SpringClan for a long while, and we could use whatever extra we can get. We won't leave you to starve, of course, it'll just be a bit here or there as it is necessary. After all, what are allies for, if not helping each other out?" Foxstar's words were sensible, or so they seemed on their face. The reality was that this was a terrible deal. It essentially gave SunClan free reign to do as they willed on the territory, all in exchange for a cat to teach healing to EarthClan. The Priestess didn't even tack on an end date to it, leaving it open ended and relying on Solsticestar being too desperate to really think about what she was agreeing to.
The alternative, to have the clan's weakness broadcast for everyone to see, or even for SunClan to take advantage of the clan themselves in EarthClan's weakened state was a very real threat, and there was no cat in the forest who would think for a moment that Foxstar wouldn't follow through with ruining Solsticestar's leadership if she had the chance.
The leader pondered the proposal for a moment. To be fair, Solsticestar had expected something like this. Still, Earthclan had more than enough prey and herbs with how diminished the clan was. After the battle, everyone had been well fed due to there being so many deaths. She had no doubt they could spare some. After a moment, she nodded in agreement.
For the first time since the meeting started, Dragonswrath grinned. This meant he would be able to study Earthclan whenever he wanted. The thought thrilled him.

Excellent. As with all deals such as this, Solsticestar would come to regret it, one day, when she realized that Foxstar intended to take this far beyond what she'd ever thought, and push the boundaries of their agreement. "Mountainsound will arrive within two days. I look forward to our alliance." The former medicine cat, by all rights, was a perfect choice. She was the cat who taught Foxstar everything she knew, and if the tabby was able to teach the Priestess, who had no natural talent with herbs whatsoever, and had almost poisoned her clanmates a few times in the beginning, then she was bound to be able to teach whoever the medicine cats were in EarthClan. Beyond that, the Senator was a neutral party, one that Solsticestar grew up with, and she'd know full well that Mountainsound would never give anything short of her best to the cats she was to teach.
