He could feel the sweat hanging off his thick fur as he patched up a whole in the medicine cat den. While this would usually be a job for a warrior, Rainpaw had been available at the time and they were out hunting and patrolling. With less members, the young tom felt it his duty to cover as many duties as he could. This one seemed like a top priority since the wind would be picking up soon. His eyes traveled over to the meager among of herbs in their storage. They definitely did not need any of those blowing away.
He’d been constantly working. The apprentice, without their mentor. It was time Violetstar changed that. She had risen from her den and made her way into the cavern that WaterClan resided in. The waterfall a constant, yet comforting sound. Of course, she found him working, as usual. In all honesty, if he had gotten the proper training before all this mess had unfolded, she would have given him his warrior name due to all of his hard work, loyalty, and devotion.
“Rainpaw.” She greeted the tom, her eyes watching him carefully as she awaited for his attention to turn to herself. “I think it is time to take a break. Let’s take a walk.”

The blue-grey tom's ears pricked as he heard Violetstar's voice. It just so happened that he had just finished placing a thick wad of cobwebs against the branches to mend them together. He glanced at his work, hoping that it would stick for a while before giving the leader a respectful nod. "Hello, Violetstar. Is everything alright?" With the chaos of recovering, he had not had many interactions with the tortoiseshell feline yet, but he fully trusted the Waterclan leader to help them grow stronger.
“Yes, of course.” She responded to quell his wonderings about the walk. It was only to reassure the tom that it was nothing of a sort of bad news. The leader waved her tail and then turned, knowing he would follow. As she neared the end of the cavern, the sound of the waterfall grew louder. It was a nice little hide out they had, an interesting place for a camp, behind a waterfall. Violetstar breathes in the water-smell before she then began across the rocks, of which could sometimes be slippery. One had to be careful.

Rainpaw relaxed at Violetstar's words and followed after her. He gingerly padded along the rocks, making sure to place his paws carefully. While the roar of the waterfall and smell of cool water in the air was a comforting smell, he definitely did not want to take a plunge in this weather. Even the mist that clung to his fur made the trek a bit uncomfortable. He knew he would get used to it in time. As he glanced over at the quick waters, he felt a surge of energy. Hopefully soon Waterclan will be as strong and forceful as nature.
She did not walk far before she would begin speaking. Violetstar felt the cold ground in her pads, and in all honesty, it didn’t feel that great. She preferred the warmth of green-leaf, when even the fish were plentiful. It was then during those moons that WaterClan was best fed. Prey was easy, so easy that it basically jumped into their claws!
Pushing away the thoughts, she almost laughed at herself. Finally she slowed her paws to a leaisurely walking pace. “I know that you have been through much, Rainpaw.” She began. “Ripple cough has took so much from us cats.”
