He blinked as the morning sunlight reflecting off of dewy leaves hit his optics and awoke his senses. Velvetkit had rested well through the night and could feel the energy rising through his veins like a stream. It was a lovely morning, perfect for socializing and making friends. The handsome little kitten picked his way across camp to a nice-looking spot and began to groom out his creamy lynx-point fur until it was smooth and free from feathers and bracken.

It truly was a beautiful day, and being an early riser, Burningeclipse had been awake for quite sometime now. Her pelt was freshly groomed, with not a speck of dirt showing or a hair out of place as she joined Velvetkit. She didn't know the child very well, as she was not one to visit the nursery unless necessary, but she wished to learn more about him. In her opinion, one of the most important things about living in a clan was the relationships you formed with your clan-mates. Form good relationships with them and you'll be rewarded. Golden eyes shining with curiosity, the female's voice flowed like honey as she greeted him. "Good morning, are you enjoying the weather? It won't be long before the days start to get cooler." She glanced upwards at the sky, and a smile tugged at her muzzle. "Or perhaps they already have."

"I love leaf-bare." He purred in response, turning his attention to the warrior. Suddenly growing shy in front of an older cat, the young tom shuffled his paws. "I wish it would stay like this forever. It's no fun playing outside when it's raining or too hot."
