She sat in the field of sunflowers. She loved it when they swayed by her with a light breeze. Her long white fluffy pelt feeling played with as the breeze tugged lightly. Her mind wondered to Soaringdawn as she closed her eyes against the warmth of the sun. Her heart ached. He had suffered so much and yet he remained. She doubted it was for her but part of her hoped it was. She was falling like a star for this tom and there was nothing she could do about it. He was of DayClan.
It had been a while since Littlebird had spoken to Whitemagnolia, in fact it had been a long time since she had spoke to anyone but her mate, jetclaw, Foxstar, and he kits. After her difficult kitting and the trouble Leatherstar had stirred up, she had been confined to her nest. Everyone was afraid that if she began bleeding again, that it may not stop this time.
She had left her two little ones in the care of Skipsetp, in order to get some fresh air. It had been to long since she had been able to stretch her muscles, and she was going to take advantage of it now that she had been given the all clear from Foxstar to begin exercising once more. She stared at the entrance to camp, and then took off in a run. She didn't know where she was going only that she was going. Without thinking about it, he paws had carried her to the sun flower fields. She began to slow when she realizes where she was... the three sunflowers she had planted in memory of the three kits she had lost coming into view. They were beautiful and growing stronger and stronger. She smiled a little, knowing the sun god had personally taken them to their next life. When she passed on they would be there waiting for her on the other side. It was oddly comforting, though she still grieved their lost.
That is when she spotted Whitemagnolia, sitting alone and looking rather glum. She made her way over "How is he holding up?" she questioned., refering to the DayClan tom she had fallen for. She didn't know all the details, but had heard from Foxstar about him.

"I haven't been able to talk to him for some time. Hes still so loyal to this StarClan he is so fond of and yet he remains." She shook her head after greeting her friend and Priestess Promised with a respectful dip of her head. She enjoyed Littlebird's company but she had visited her since the kitting. She felt her stress was the last thing the young queen and political figure needed right now. Despite Whitemagnolia not having many other friends, she had kept her hearts woes to herself.
"Turning your back on something that you have believed in for so long is not an easy feat" she had only been a kit when she had come to SunClan, and it had been dfficult for her. She couldn't imagine trying to switch faiths after having believed in it for their entire life.
"Give him time, I'm sure that the Sun God will help guide his paws on to the right path. The most important thing you can do for him right now, is just to be there. To try to understand his view. One doesn't change their beliefs overnight, and right now I'm sure he needs a shoulder to lean on. A friend in the sea of unfamiliar faces" she remembered how she had clung to Singedwolf, even though he frightened her. He had been the only one she knew here, the only one she had trusted.

She sighed softly as another tugging breeze blew past them causing the sunflowers to bow. "You are probably right. But littlebird? Is it wrong of me to not want him to change? To love him as he is?"
"It's not wrong..." she trailed off thinking about Leatherstar. She couldn't help but wish things had been different. If only she had been taken into another clan, if only he had not become leader. There were so many what if, that she had to shove them away, to live in the moment.
"If you spend all your time thinking about how things should be, you will miss the things going on in the present. Love him every moment that you are together, because what is going to happen is going to happen. You can not change the future or past, only the present." perhaps it was bad advice knowing what awaited him at the initation, but it was what was in her heart. What she wished she had done.
"He has decided on his path, he has decided to stay with you. It's not an easy path, but it is the one he choose. You know as well as I that he will have to change to stay here... No matter how much we wish things were different. Love him, support him, show him our ways."
"Whenever I feel lost, I seek out the Sun God's guidance. We are lucky to have a deity that walks amoungst us so freely. I have spent many a evening spilling out what ever was weighing heavily on my soul. He doesn't expect us to be perfect, only that we do our best to serve him" what she said was true. For a time, she had he spat at the mention of the Sun God, and yet he came to her. He talked to her with kindness and understanding that she had never expected.
"When I lost my three kits, I was angry. I even lashed out at the Sun God, accusing him of taking them away. I hated him... Yet he knew what truly lied within my heart was grief and anguish. Instead of pushing me away, he gave me a gift. Before he took them on to their next life, he allowed me to say my good byes. To watch them play, unworried that they would not have a life here. They wiped away my tears, and begged me not to cry"
