Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Blizzardyrefuge sat at the entrance of camp, looking out at the sky and holding back a sigh. It had only been for a little while, but he truly had enjoyed his time as Heir. However, in the end, he just didn't feel like he was the best one for the position after all. He had just returned to the clan after many moons away, and he was still injured. He didn't want for his leg to be a hinderance to the clan, and it was unlikely to heal any time soon. He was just lucky that his other leg had healed, so he didn't dare hold his breath and hope for more.
As if in response to his thoughts, his leg throbbed in pain, and he grimaced. It seemed like today was one of his bad days. He had managed to limp his way over here, which really wasn't that large of an accomplishment, but he had planned to leave the camp for a bit. Now, he wasn't sure if that would be possible, or if it would be too dangerous for him to go alone.
After several long moments, someone cleared their throat from behind Blizzardyrefuge. "I know you seem to be deep in thought, but you're blocking the entrance," a quiet and raspy, yet somehow feminine, voice said before he could even react. Mountainshiver's expression was completely blank as she flicked her tail to show her slight impatience. She had planned to go to the Sapphire Springs for a small dip to ease her muscles from a previously stressful day.
Leafy green eyes turned to look at Mountainshiver, narrowing as Blizzardyrefuge took in the impatient flick to her tail. Had she been standing behind him long? If she was there long enough to get this impatient, why hadn't she spoken up earlier? He would have moved if he had known. This time, the sigh he had been holding back escaped as he shifted his weight back to his legs and stood up, though his back leg trembled slightly with the effort. Luckily, he had managed to not show any signs of the pain in his expression.
"There's still plenty of room to go around me," he noted, tilting his head slightly to motion to the other half of the entrance. He had made sure not to sit directly in the center, so he had thought he left enough room for others. Perhaps she just wasn't too keen on brushing past him?
Her eerie blue green eyes narrowed the smallest of a fraction before she reined in her emotions. There had been room for her to squeeze past, but something about it felt almost.. rude in a sense, even if it wasn't something she would usually hesitate to do most other times. Perhaps having some sort of respect for the higher ranking tom, she didn't know what her reasonings really were.
"Were you going somewhere?" She asked, brushing off his response from a few moments before.
Sensing that some of the tension in the air had eased, Blizzardyrefuge let out a slow breath, his own body relaxing slightly as he realized that her impatience had decreased as well. This time when he tilted his head towards the entrance, it was simply so he could see outside better.
"I had been intending on going for a walk, or something of the sort. I've not had the opportunity to leave camp for quite a bit, so I think the heat of the hot springs is getting to me." Sitting around too long was certainly not helping his leg. He yearned to stretch it, but there was no need to put himself in danger since he was unsure if his leg would hold up for the way back.
Mountainshiver's gaze flicked to his injured leg before returning it towards the entrance to where he now looked as well. "A stretch probably wouldn't hurt," she meowed, almost surprising herself with the words. She wasn't often one to be helpful towards others, and she had a feeling she might have just extended some sort of invitation for Blizzardyrefuge to join her out into the territory, even if it wasn't too far.
