Giantkit stretched out her paws and back as she arose from the nest of soft feathers one of the apprentices has brought them the day before. Mmmm... Nothing was better than a long, pure nights sleep. Of course, nothing was better than any kind of sleep for the orange tabby. She blinked her big emerald eyes against the light that trickled into the den. The sun was out, the smell of fresh rain hung in the air, and birds were singing their morning songs outside the den. "Briadkit." She meowed, poking the brown tabby beside her. "Briadkit, wake up."

The small brown tabby groaned in her sleep and she rolled around in an attempt to block out her sister's voice but the prodding only continued. She pulled her head up as if it were on strings but did not open her eyes. "What is it Giantkit?" She mumbled sleepily, her head falling forward again until her cheek was flat against the ground and her rump high in the air.

Giantkit gave a little giggle at her sister's stance before lifting her head up with a paw. "The sun is out. It is time to get up and explore the camp!" She purred cheerily. They had seen bits and pieces of Summerclan's camp, but there still were several parts of it she was interested in checking out.

She paused before blinking open her pale green eyes. "Like where?" She asked, squinting against the sun as she slowly propped herself up. Normally, the kit was an early riser but she stayed up late listening to the elders last night.

"We should go look at the medicine cat's den! Or the warriors den!" Giantkit meowed excitedly, her words getting ahead of her thoughts. "OR, the leader's den!" Her eyes grew wide with awe as she imagined the cave full of feathers and all the mice you could ever want.

"I think greythorn would kick us out and... would there even be moss in the leader's den?" She asked, her eyes shifting over to where Snowkit slept. Ravenstar always slept in the nursery with her adopted kit anyways, waiting for her to become apprenticed. "I guess that leaves the warrior's den." She sighed, deciding to give in to her sister's antics. If nothing else, Giantkit would just go running off by herself and getting them all in trouble.

Giantkit thought about Briadkit's words and sniffed. I guess they would have to settle with the warrior's den only. Oh well! It would still be a lot of fun! "Alright! Let's go exploring!" She purred loudly, tail high in the air. Her tummy then let out a growl and she glanced back at her sister sheepishly. "Would you like to eat first?"

Beiadkit gave a soft laugh as her own stomach growled loudly and she nodded in agreement. "I could really go for some rabbit." She mowed. The kit had only tasted rabbit once but it had been delicious. "Race you there?" She suggested with a grin.

“Mmmm.” Giantkit purred as she imagined sinking her teeth into a plump rabbit. “Alright!” It didn’t take much convincing for her to want to race. She bunches up her muscles, prepared to spring forward as soon as Briadkit said the word!

She prepared herself as well, taking a few deep breathes before starting her countdown. "Ready... set... go!" She jumped forward and took barely even a few steps before tripping on her own paws and tumbling down into the dirt.

With such long, graceful legs, it wasn't long before Giantkit found herself by the fresh-kill pile. A smile lit up her maw and, eyes closed, she inhaled in all of the yummy scents. Something was missing... OH. The kitten swirled around to see her sister in a tangled ball in the dirt. "Are you alright?" She asked as she tried to hold back the snorts and giggles that threatened to spill from her muzzle.

Briadkit sat up, frustrated at her own feet. She grabbed one foot in her mouth with a growl before letting go. "stupid feet." She mumbled indignantly before rushing over to join her sister at the fresh-kill pile. "There... was a stick?" She offered up an excuse pathetically. Anyone could see there was nothing laying in the dirt except a large impression where she had fallen.

She sighed in defeat "fiiiiine." She muttered, giving her foot one last glare before forgetting about it entirely and racing over to pick. "How about a rabbit? They're really tasted." She meowed, licking her lips in anticipation for prey.

"Ohh that does sound good." Giantkit commented, pondering on what she was craving that day. "A squirrel kind of sounds good too..." Her belly rumbled loudly as it argued for her just to pick something.

The green-eyed kit turned her attention to where her sister's tail pointed. Her eyes widened with awe as she gazed at the plump piece of prey. "I think that one will be perfect!" She mrrowed cheerily, licking her muzzle in anticipation.

"Perfect." She grinned, stepping over the other pieces carefully to grip the squirrel's teeth in her tail, pulling it away with some effort. "Wow, this is going to taste amazing." She licked her lips greedily, ready to dig in.

Briadkit narrowed her eyes in confusion as she thought. "No, silly! Why would we thank Ravenstar unless she caught the squirrel? Thank Starclan." She corrected her sister gracefully as if she hadn't completely forgotten herself. "Thank you Starclan!" She called out before quickly taking a bite of it. "Ish delishoush," She mumbled around it happily.
