These were her first ceremonies as leader and, being a cat of little emotion usually, Tuskstar was surprised to find herself a bit nervous. When she was young, her stronghold had similar promotions and she always dreamed of the day she would get to move up in the ranks and be an asset to the group. Now, as she looked down at the two young cats in front of her, she felt her nerves as much as they probably felt theirs. Clearing her throat, she went through the ceremonies.
"Muttkit, from this day forward you will be known as Muttpaw and will become a student of Winterclan. Your mentor will be Lakeshore ." She nodded towards the tom, who was in the middle of a long yawn that got cut short by a surprised look. "May the Northern Lights guide your pawsteps as you grow into a capable defender of this clan." Her sharp green gaze then turned to Elmkit and she gave a nod. "Elmkit, from this day forward you will be known as Elmpaw and will also become a student of Winterclan. Your mentor will be Waywardpass. May the Northern Lights guide your training and strengthen you as well."
She gave a smile of approval to the two new apprentices before turning to Wickedpaw and Bluepaw. "Wickedpaw, you are in need of a new mentor. I believe Blizzardyrefuge will be a good teacher for you. May the Northern Lights watch over both of you as you train. Lastly, Bluepaw, you are also in need of a new mentor. Trailrunner will be your new mentor. May the Northern Lights bring you good training and growth."
With a sweep of her tail, she dismissed the group to congratulate their new students.
Bluepaw lifted her head, then shifted her gaze towards the cat who was named as her new mentor. Her tail tip quivered in excitement, already ready to begin training.
