Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
All night, low clouds veiled the sky and threatened the forest below with rain. It was early morning when the first fat raindrop landed in the dry dust. Visible in the faint light that seeped through the clouds was Merlin, ears pinned to the back of his head in thought. The sleek tom swiped at brambles in his way, scowling when they swung back to hit him. His silhouette was barely visible as he prowled through the trees, the hovering fireflies guiding his path, their green glow still ambient in the faint light. He didn’t know what he was searching for — it wasn’t prey, he’d already eaten — but he pushed on, hoping for something to make his morning interesting.

Rasa was on his way back to camp when the first drops of water began to fall from the dark gray sky. In annoyance, he picked up the pace, dropping his head and flattening his ears against his head to keep the water from running into them or his eyes. He was taken by surprise, a rush of breath escaping his lips as he crashed into the slightly larger tom, sending them both staggering into a blob of damp moss and ferns. "Sorry." It was all he could muster as he slipped out of the brush and shook droplets from his mostly gray pelt.
Merlin had a sort of blunted reaction to the collision. The impact knocked him back a step or two, but his face never betrayed any surprise, and his paws never lost traction with the slippery ground. All he did was blink at the smaller tom, with more curiosity than annoyance, his big blue eyes swimming deep with evaluation. "Hmm?" He hummed lightly, his tone just as blunted as his expression one - he spoke slowly, even blinked slowly, as if savoring every action. "It's ok," he assured in response, squinting lightly as the droplets flew from Rasa's pelt and powdered his face. "And who may you be? I'm Merlin." He even smiled slowly.

The tiny white and grey tom stood there, peering up at the much larger cat. His one folded ear flicked back as a water droplet stirred the fur in an agitating way. "Rasa." He simply said, blinking back as more droplets splattered up as it crashed from the sky to the ground. Merlin had peculiar behavior, didn't he? Rasa knew that if the other cat had plowed into him, he would've been angered. It was enough to make the hunter uncomfortable. His tail flicked as he crouched a little. He wasn't much larger than a trainee in comparison. He felt his fur prickle uneasily.
Merlin sat neatly before Rasa, even as he was blanketed by a steady onslaught of rain. He’d gotten so soaked already, surplus wetness didn’t bother him much; in any case he’d always liked water. He blinked down at Rasa again – a slow owl-like blink – as the rain streamed past his eyes in rivulets, as the fireflies glowed behind him like ambient green torches. “There's no need to be nervous, I won't harm you," Merlin reassured, calm as ever. Whatever peculiarities he had in his manner didn't hinder his social awareness. “Even if I intended to, I don’t think I could. You would beat me in a fight, I promise you. I’m not a very violent cat.” His whiskers twitched whimsically.
