Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The weather was warm and breezy, the sun was high in the sky and things all around here blooming and growing as time went on. With a small content smile, Plumgaze padded silently through the vineyard. It wasn't an overly visited part of the territory, so she wasn't expecting to run into anyone any time soon. Birds chirped in the distance, causing her ears to twitch in acknowledgement.
She wasn't hungry and prey wasn't in short supply at the moment, so she left them be to eat seedlings and flit from branch to branch above her head. Finding a small open area under a tree, she sat down to soak in the sun.

“Oh, I wasn’t expecting anyone else to be out here.” A voice spoke from behind Plumgaze as Firewood stepped through a couple of the unruly vineyard vines and into the clearing. His good eye held nothing but curiosity as he approached. Not many cats made their way over to the vineyards, especially since the weather had turned so warm. “You might have found the best patch of shade here.” He remarked casually, peering up at the tree above them.
She had sensed his presence only moments before he spoke, having noticed the change in the air as the birds seemed to flutter in nervousness at the appearance of another cat. Plumgaze tilted her head down, no longer looking to the branches and sky, and nodded with a small grin. “Only so much shade in a place such as this,” she meowed, her head bobbing once in greeting as well.

"It's no wonder that this place is abandoned." Firewood remarked, picking at a tendril of dead leaves before padding up to stand by Plumgaze. He tilted his head slightly and let his gaze travel across the expanse of the vineyards. "Lucky for us, I guess." He watched the birds flutter away with mild interesting, unsure of what to say next. "Sorry small talk is not my strong suit, but it isn't often that I run into anyone here so I was curious."

A small, airy bit of laughter floated from the other cat as she fought the grin that appeared quickly after. "It's not mine, either," Plumgaze meowed, her tail patting the earth next to her to indicate that he was welcome to sit. "Half the time I feel like it is rather useless," she added, with a small shrug of her shoulders.

Firewood smiled awkwardly in return, but felt the relief as soon as she agreed with him. "Right? I would rather hear the truth than the usual greetings where we always say, 'I'm fine.' Are we really fine? Or is there something more underneath fine?" He sat down next to her and let out a long exhale. "Sorry, I can be a little too in my head sometimes."
