Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
in a perfect world this would be more dramatic but its not and i have been trying to write this thread for a week and i haven't been able to so maybe she'll come back to me as i go
In the distance, there was the sound of barking. Although SwiftClan was in no danger, the creature was doing a task for its master, but the noise still rang through the territory. It was enough to send a chill down a cat's spine, although the fawn colored feline looked less afraid and more ... confused, at least at first. The noise, and the way that it made her heart pump just a little bit faster, it was all so familiar. The dog whooped again, and she found her eye closing. A phantom pain sent through her face, the memory of the creature's claws ripping through her face resurged like a hot iron branded into her brain. Her body tensed, and for a moment, she could feel hot breath on the back of her neck. Eyes still closed, she found herself falling into a defensive position, the fur on the back of her hackles bristled.
The braying of the animal became quieter and quieter as the distance between them expanded. Still, until long after the last yip could be heard over the horizon, Aspen stayed in the position, her claws unsheathed into the dirt as her mind spun in a million directions. Finally, her gaze snapped back open. Her blue eye, which had previously been absent at best, once again burned. How fitting, that the noise that had started it all would be the noise to remind her. Her muscles slowly relaxed, and the confused look on her face had morphed into a sneer.
Things were starting to come back to Aspenflicker.
Violet hued eyes watched from a small distance. Why was she acting like that? Had something happened to her that had involved a hound? Questioned floated in the medicine cat's mind, confusion too. Meadoweyes shifted her weight and slid her paw along the ground. It was just enough noise that would let the cat know she was there, without causing too much alarm. Or at least, she hoped.
