Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. He found himself in some woods, bright and enchanted. But contrary to all corporeal sense, it carried a coldness to it.
The wind stirred his orange coat listlessly. He drifted by an old rickety wooden bridge, and a river that fed into a Great Lake. Markers clinged to the face of every surface, so it was evident that a group lived her — that much was consistent with what the drifters in the city had forewarned him, but he was deep within the territory now, and he had yet to see a face.
The memory of some fading nightmare lingered in the back of his mind, a vestige of the sleep he’d risen from just half an hour past — the details were blurred, but he couldn’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu as a mansion erected before him.
But still, no one came to confront him, not even when he slipped right through its great twin doors. Whether it was curiosity or daring that compelled him to intrude, no one could say but the nameless stranger.
