Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
this patrol is open to anyone ! if you want to join in with a warrior or apprentice, go ahead and jump in !
something fun will happen but i can't spoil it (;
Foxstar gave himself one last good shake to get himself awake. He'd been up on and off since the sun rose, although he had found it rather difficult to get up that morning. Now, after lazily lounging about, moving in and out of a light sleep, the sun's rays shown brightly enough that he knew he couldn't stay in his den forever. There were things that needed to be done, including the morning's patrol. Although he normally left Radiantcosmos to organize the patrols, he'd told her the night before that she could take the morning off if she wanted. It would be good to take a group out, anyways. He hadn't been able to lead very many since becoming leader, and there was a part of him that was excited. Patrols had always been enjoyable to him: they were always a good opportunity to interact with his peers. With a final yawn, the leader exited his den and into the camp.
His silver gaze flittered around camp, resting on each of his clan mates in turn. For those who met his gaze, he offered a smile. For the others, he flicked his tail while he momentarily observed the comings and goings of the camp. There was a part of him who missed the days when he was able to wander and chit chat and enjoy a meal lazily in the greenleaf sun. The last few weeks, the tom had been nearly non-stop, so much so that his ribs were starting to show more so than usual. Being in charge kept him busy, so busy he hardly knew what to do with himself. It was yet another reason that he'd offered to take out the morning patrol: it would allow him to casually slow down and enjoy the morning with his comrades without being constantly distracted by what all needed to be done.
After a moment, the leader padded to the entrance of the camp. Normally, a patrol would have been formally organized, but Foxstar was comfortable with just inviting anyone who wasn't in the middle of doing something.
"If anyone's interested," he called over his shoulder, his tone bright, "I'm about to take a patrol out. Shouldn't be too strenuous, just checking the borders. If you come, I'll even throw in a free meal," he meowed with a soft chuckle, his tail tip twitching in amusement at his own reference to the running joke that he could prepare an exceptionally good picnic.

Buffalokit perked up, jumping to his paws clumsily. "Can I go!?" he mewed bounding toward Foxstar. He hadn't been on a patrol yet, and the idea sent excited shivers through his paws. The small tom knew he wanted to be a denwatcher when he became a warrior, but he still wanted to experience everything that came his way. _____ {Lol you can demand she come if you would like, someone needs to get her lazy bones moving.}
Turtlepaw, less enthusiastic as buffalopaw, lifted her head lazily from her sunning spot. She was a go with the flow kind of cat, an attitude that was bound to keep her from becoming a warrior. ignoring the call to the patrol, she flopped her head back down, let more energetic cats deal with that, the she-cat thought to herself.
Foxstar grinned at the young tom's enthusiasm as the large thing barreled towards him. Not very long ago, he had had that same zest for life that came with new apprenticehood. The world was so enchanting when you were first getting your sea legs. "Of course you can!" he purred. "It isn't often that someone's so excited to do work, how could I possibly say you couldn't?" he teased gently, his tone warm. "Plus, the more the merrier!"
He paused for a moment, before his gaze settled on Turtlepaw. Although he hadn't intended to gently encourage anyone to go, he had heard that the young apprentice might not have been pulling her due weight. His cousin, Eveninglily, had been the same way when she was an apprentice, and he'd watched the warriors order her around in not-so-kind ways because of it. He didn't want to bark orders, but gentle encouraging never hurt, right?
"Speaking of the more the merrier, Turtlepaw, would you like to join?" It was a genuine question, one that she realistically could have turned down. He genuinely wouldn't have minded, at least not much. Still, a question from a leader often felt less like a question and more like a command.
"Yes!" buffalopaw danced around, ready for his first patrol. would they see cats form another clan? or maybe a fox! he thought to himself. he had seen the outside of the camp before, when he was younger and stumbling through the woods alone. but know he would be going out, as a member of Summerclan, to go explore a place he could call home.
_____
Turtlepaw flinched ever so slightly at the invitation, and squeezed her eyes tightly, maybe if she pretended she fell asleep? no, she thought to herself... she might as well just go. besides what if she found a good future sunning spot. "Sure..." she heaved herself to her paws yawning, and walked lazily to the gathering patrol.
