Hello everyone <3 As some may know, our dear leader uniqcrim has stepped down. Please with them well and give them all the love because they are a golden star and deserve it <3
That being said, Tuskblood, aka Tuskstar, will now take the reigns (hahaha) of Winterclan. There will be some changes made to Winter (not too crazy, just stuff to spice up lore and make it more simple at the same time) so I would love to plan these things out with a team. I hope to have an active deputy that is just as excited to take on this beautifully crafted clan and make it more lively! <3
Here is the format: CAT NAME & BIO : LINK TO PICTURE : HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER WORK WITH THE CURRENT STAFF? : (this can be however detailed you want it) WHAT DRAWS YOU TO WINTERCLAN? : WHAT MIGHT YOU WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT IN WINTER?:
** PS please do not worry about coding experience <3 Anything you need to know, I will teach you! It is my day job

CAT NAME & BIO : IMMORTALFATE — THROUGH THE DARKEST OF AGES & BLACKEST OF PLAGUES + Life asked Death, "Why do people love me but hate you?" † Take a little walk to the edge of town, go across the tracks where the viaduct looms like a bird of doom as it shifts and cracks. Where secrets lie in the border fires, in the humming wires; hey man, you know, you’re never coming back. Past the square, past the bridge, past the mills, past the stacks. On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man in a dusty black coat with a red right hand. + For many, the beginning lives at the birth; for one who existed long before the physical world, there is no beginning, just as there is no end. If time is a god that no other can touch, that has no creation date, then Death is time’s brother, as time can always end and by death’s hand. There’s only one on this earth who remembers when he began. That story will not be shared unless imperative to the continuation of the ticking of time. However, there are clues; hidden treasures, forgotten mysteries eroded by decay and neglect. Of these secrets, we can unlock a few key facets of who he was to understand who he is now: He was born to light, only to fall to darkness. Perhaps darkness always lived within him and thrived when he could no longer find a reason to fight. Either way, a procession of events moved quickly after his path was chosen. His family drew away, he found himself alone, and found instead companionship in an unlikely element. Drifting from the light, he found solace in the shadows, only revealing himself from his sanctuary when necessary. There were those who attempted to grow close to him – many who failed, few who succeeded – but it ended the same every time. Heart hardened, a new title was bestowed upon him, one that should have been a blow to his grace, but instead empowered him with what was necessary to take the final leap off the edge of the blade. + He’ll wrap you in his arms, tell you that you've been a good boy. He'll rekindle all the dreams iIt took you a lifetime to destroy. He’ll reach deep into the hole, heal your shrinking soul, but there won't be a single thing that you can do. He's a god, he's a man, he's a ghost, he's a guru. They're whispering his name through this disappearing land, but hidden in his coat is a red right hand. + They say great power comes with great responsibility. While this is true, it is also a truth that with greater darkness comes greater power, as well as a greater struggle to control it. An easy life became one of heartache and strife, yet even so, there was no going back. Imbued with the power to destroy, with the internal desire to create, what resulted was a monstrous concoction that while grotesque, became something he would be truly proud of. It wasn’t long after that he was confronted by the united force of the light; those who saw him as a threat to be eliminated. His death was not a quick one, nor was it painless. By the time he crossed the veil and met the burned world beyond, ash falling from the sky, trees as black as night, no life – spiritual or mortal – in sight, what was once only a hardened heart made of steel became an entity within itself, a roiling mass of shadow and crimson mist that refused to be tortured once more. + You don't have no money? He’ll get you some. You don’t have no car? He'll get you one. You don’t have no self-respect, you feel like an insect, well don't you worry buddy ‘cause here he comes. Through the ghettos and the barrio and the Bowery and the slum. A shadow is cast wherever he stands, stacks of green paper in his red right hand. + Life, if you can call it that, wasn’t easy across the veil. Most, if not all, that reside on this earth believe that once life passes on and death welcomes you with open arms, your troubles are over. For those individuals, that may just be the case. But what if there is no reaper to await you? What if there’s no god of death to guide you through the gate? He was the first to approach that black wrought iron gate and gaze into burning skies. The first to inhabit a home meant for a king. What was a hellscape became a sanctuary for him. Headquarters to retire to when fighting to be free became too tiresome. There, he waited, until the moment everything changed and he found himself a new mission. + You'll see him in your nightmares, you’ll see him in your dreams. He'll appear out of nowhere but he ain't what he seems. You'll see him in your head, on the TV screen, hey buddy, I'm warning you to turn it off. + She was naive and terribly unprepared for the darkness she was about to unleash. She was perfect. At least for what he needed. She was also beautifully easy to throw away. She was desperate, her fear and nerves delicious on his tongue, ready to risk everything to satisfy her attachment issues. Once he was out, away from what had become his home for so long, away from the prison those who still saw him as a threat and tried to keep him contained for so long, things got far more interesting. He was new to this earth, familiar yet strange, old yet changed. It would take time to become accustomed to the sensation enough to begin his work. Thankfully, he had all the time in the world. + He's a ghost, he's a god, he's a man, he's a guru. You're one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan, designed and directed by his red right hand. + What do you see when you close your eyes? Is it dark? Is it light? Do you see the imprint of a face? For those who shied away from what was coming, they all saw the same: a black being encompassed by shadow and silver ornate patterning framing eyes the color of blood. + I’ve never claimed to be a good boy, that lad is long dead, cause I got stuck in the wars, Grace, ones with bullets and ones in my head. But you made it so easy to let go, now I’m all alone and the shots are deafening. + Being reborn is nothing new or special in the world from where he came, but a spirit returning to the world of the living after being locked away so long in the world of the dead is a feat many should worship. At least in his eyes. The form he took wasn’t strong by any means – not in the beginning. It held on, though, as it struggled to find any way to satiate and nourish the pangs of hunger alongside the body of what was the mother. The skittish lamb that got everything she wanted and paid the price for it took him away to be cared for by the father of the litter, of the vessel he took as his own. The father was nothing short of a wicked and inconceivably brutal tom. The longer he was in the care of the tom that would never be seen as father, but rather as Zodiac, tyrant of Genesis, the more his bloodlust grew. Finally taking the life of the one who hardly raised a brow in his direction other than to punish him for work well done was as satisfying as observing rainfall on a starry night. He was strong at that point, capable, and already had a cult following that were willing to risk their very lives for his benefit. It was exactly what he always wanted, but absolutely nothing he truly wished to see. Toms that were forced in the same harrowing predicaments he was, finally free of the villainy, unwilling to let go, desperate to see him as some sort of savior. He removed himself from their grasp before he’d allow himself to ruin them any further; some things you can never forget, and for Cross, there were far too many deeds – in this life and the last – that weighed on his spirit. No matter what world you live or die, there are two constants that sway and swirl with one another: 1) Time is always ticking, 2) Death is always alone. + So I walk with the Devil, my rivals best be careful, cause when you’re already dead there’s no gun at your head, you’re finally free. Death responded, "Because you are a beautiful lie and I am a painful truth."
HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER WORK WITH THE CURRENT STAFF? : He would love Tusky’s innate fire and would see the unbridled potential for pure chaos and destruction in her Warlock. It would spell the end of the soft hearts of WinterClan ruled by such beliefs as bloodlines and righteousness through class and would begin a new age of darkness and magic.
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO WINTERCLAN? : I dunno mate, staff’s pretty cool, it’s got a nice Game of Thrones Winterfell setup, Tusky’s our favorite warrior princess
WHAT MIGHT YOU WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT IN WINTER?: Tbh one thing I’ve always said is I’d love to see the enchanted forest base spread across the site, the use of possible ice magic and such in Winter I think could really be cool
See? Not so bad ^0^ Now you give it a try! ♥ I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Dumped in the frozen wasteland as a new born kit. She was the daughter of two cats that never amounted to anything or even cared about her existence. She was found left in a snow drift half frozen. Taken in by some kind Winterclan family that had always wanted a daughter. They didn’t completely shun the strange kit that didn’t hold a single drop of Winterclan blood. Her adoptive parents have since passed leaving behind her and her two adoptive brothers. She looks up to her two older brothers. Worshipping the ground that Abyssalmagic walks on. And admiring the strength and courage of ____. While she might not exactly get along with her two adoptive brothers. She is deeply loyal to the family that took her in and gave her a home. Never admitting to it she will silently cheer her brothers on from the sidelines. After spending most of her kithood and apprenticeship getting teased for being an outsider. Goblinthief has created a protective barrier around her heart. She loves deeply but tends to cause herself deep pain by getting too attached to others way too quickly. So she has learned to try and keep everyone at a distance just so she doesn’t get hurt. She has many strange habits like for one she has many random objects scattered in her nest. She has hoards of objects hidden through out the Territory. Each object while probably considered trash or nothing of value each hold a lot of sentimental value to Goblinthief. Even offering her comfort in times of loneliness. Another quirk of Goblinthief’s is her extreme fear of the dark. She refuses to travel outside of camp on New Moons. And will try her best to only go out when the sun is up or the moon is full.
HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER WORK WITH THE CURRENT STAFF? :
Tuskstar : - One Orc Sovereign Queen with a Loyal Goblin subject Okay but in all honestly I just adore Tusky! Goblin would probably Worship the ground that Tuskstar walks on. She is a small nervous cat that very much just wants to please her peers and high ranking officials. I noticed that is said Tuskstar isn't very emotional. Well xD Goblinthief would have enough to emotions for the both of them. They could bond over the idea of neither of them are from Winterclan. Tuskstar joining later in life and Goblinthief being adopted into Winterclan. Which would be such an interesting dynamic since Winterclan is so very Slytherin like in wanting pure blooded cats.
Chaotheory : - I saw that maybe Shadow was changing cats ? So while I'm not sure if this is the cat he is stay I will just write how I would think Goblinthief would get along with Chaostheory. If Chaostheory is like his name sake xD I totally could see Chaostheory and Goblinthief being Tuskstar's two biggest headaches. Causing chaos left and right. Chaostheory being the racoon friend and Goblinthief being the Opossum friend xD and Tuskstar being their handler that rein thems in. c: or maybe Fallingpaw would be the only sane one out of the four. If Goblinthief became friends with Chaostheory. I could see her opening up her prized items to him. Maybe leaving him little gifts outside of his den to keep her on his good side.
Fallingpaw: - While there isn't much personality written in Fallingpaw's bio. I see him as the only sane one xD. The one that keeps Tuskstar, Chaostheory and possibly Goblinthief from going off the rails with their chaotic ideas ? I feel like Goblinthief would be a bit intimidated by Fallingpaw because of how blunt he is. Tbh it wouldn't be a stretch to say he would probably make Goblinthief cry at some point.
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO WINTERCLAN? : Okay to be honest xD I wanted to try out a month ago, but I was on the fence about it and wanted to give other members a chance first. I will say maybe it’s the fact that Winterclan slightly reminds me of the cold icy tundra of Minnesota and I would be able to embody my spite for snow into a character. Just kidding xD or am I? I will say I find the dynamic of this clan unique and gives me slight Brookclan and Rubyclan vibes. Which is a plus in my opinion because I loved both of those clans. It also has a lot of elements I think that make this clan stand out from others. For one nice winter wonderland majority of the year! Also tbh I just really love Tuskstar c: WHAT MIGHT YOU WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT IN WINTER?: Okay so hear me out so I'm going to bullet point these ideas because well there are just too many xD and I am so sorry I am writing out a whole essay.
~ Customs from the Winterclan Jarl period being reintroduced or create similar ones ? I feel these customs would mesh very well with what Winterclan currenly has going on. Also I may of just recently restumbled across the Jarl Period when researching info the Trailrunner's family. Never appreciated the level of detail that the Winterclan Jarl period had back then, but I see now that I gave a lot of room for characterization and world building.
Sub Ideas From Jarl Period
There were like minor gods during the Jarl period. I think it would be interesting to bring these back into rotation. Each god stood for a different aspect of Clan life and Winterclan values. Warriors in the clan were also aligned and blessed by a different god. These minor gods could be seen as subjects of Lord Borealis the true god that Winterclan serves.
There were clan games and fighting moves that had names that you could find in the guide c: I think this adds more info for plot devices.
The use of crystals! I don't know if Winterclan still uses crystals but I loved the idea of the Warlock maybe using crystals to help promote healing or send good vibes. Now the crystals are not actually magical, but Winterclan would have a deep belief that they are added help in the healing process.
~ I love the whole Royal/sovereign vibe that Winterclan has going on and would love to see that stay. Actually I feel like Winterclan should lay more into the whole royalty thing. Have royal families, aristocratic families that whole thing! I know the Castes were just gotten rid of but anyway we could bring back or create Class levels or revamp that idea? I like this whole idea that everyone is striving for the top. xD But maybe I've been watching too many royalty style Netflix tv shows recently. Personally I would like to blame Bridgerton.
~ To add onto the whole class idea. I like the idea of average warriors having specializes. Now every warrior has the ability to do every task in Winterclan life, but some are better at some things than others. I think this is where the idea of a rescue team for when there are blizzards or avalanches can come into play c: I think with Winterclan's unique territory this is an idea that is totally doable. Also I really loved that Winterclan had Prison Guards. Maybe Prison Guards could be like a warrior specialty ?
~ I also miss the Marquess/Shard/Frozen position that Winterclan used to have. It really helped build on characters and interact with other members. Because there were these handpicked characters that would lay down their lives to protect the high roles and they were also highly respected in Winterclan society in the past. C: Also what royal wouldn't have a personalized bodyguard to protect them?
don't mine me just found a better photo for Goblin c:
i might swap cats oop, so for now i'll leave the 'how will this character work with the current staff' question blank (please bother me to answer it later though cx)
CAT NAME & BIO : Blizzardyrefuge In the frosty tundras of Winterclan, lives are small candles. Burning bright one second, only to be snuffed out the next. Weather is harsh, more so than the icy words of the cats inhabiting the clan. This was a lesson that Blizzardyrefuge learned the day he was born, when he lost his sister, Summerykit. It was a large blow to his mother, and one that the family never truly recovered from. That event splintered the family, and Blizzardyrefuge did his best to fill the gaps where he knew another belonged, but he had been a kit at the time, and he had not truly known what had been going on. All he knew was that there was a gaping hole in all of their hearts. Blizzards were dangerous, as his family had learned, and they tried to make sure others knew just how dangerous. When Blizzardyrefuge grew old enough, he started to spend more and more time outside of camp, making sure that others were safe. His thick grey pelt would protect him from the majority of the cold in most weather, and he used that to help others. Although, his words are sharper than his green eyes, and his emotions don't always show they way he means them to, this is how he decided to honor the death of his sister, and keep others from suffering from the same fate as his family. However, fate is a fickle and cruel thing. It was during one of his patrols in the mountain that a blizzard came, sweeping with it Blizzardyrefuge and his sense of direction. It was a close call, but he had survived, but found that he was no longer in the mountains of WinterClan. For moons, he wandered, trying to find his way back home, blissfully ignorant of all of the changes that his sister, Wintrystar, had made to his home clan. Until one day, fate wanted another gamble at his life, ending in a severe injury to Blizzardyrefuge's legs. Unable to go anywhere else, he had dragged himself to the border of FallClan, where he had to stay to recover. Being in the mountains once more is a nostalgic feeling, one that is often followed by homesickness. Would FallClan be his home forever, or would he one day go back to WinterClan? The more time passed, the more unsure he was of the answer. His legs would never be the same again, but he found himself wanting more and more with each passing day to return to his birthplace. So, when his legs had healed just enough for him to no longer be bedbound, he left the place that had offered him safety. The mountains are no place for someone who can hardly walk, however, and the journey had taken him much longer than he had intended it to. He had made many stops along the way, learning about different herbs from passersby’s to help ease his pain. With enough time, one of his legs had nearly fully healed, leaving him with just a single bad leg. When he had finally found WinterClan again, it wasn’t like anything that he had remembered. But it was home, right?
HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER WORK WITH THE CURRENT STAFF? : (this can be however detailed you want it)
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO WINTERCLAN? : because you're here ♥ Actual answer: WinterClan was the first clan that I ever joined long, long ago in 2009 (rip Icestep), and it was also the first clan that I had a position in. Shiningsecret was one of my favorite cats that I ever had, and it felt like I was medicine cat with her for years (it was only January 2014 to June 2015, but that was a long time back then). It's one of the clans that I always keep returning to. It's been like two years since I last had cats here until recently, but I still absolutely adore it, and I know that you will only make it better. WinterClan has always been so rich in culture, I can't wait to see where you take it.
WHAT MIGHT YOU WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT IN WINTER?:less snow, more orc Actual answer coming after I think about it a bit more, but I do agree with Dot on missing the Rescue Team!
A cold and dark mutation. Keeper of secrets, blessed by the Northern One with sight of every horizon, through the pale. Hiddenchalice is an earned moniker as much as it is a warning; the blood of many has whispered to the bleach-blinded eye of WinterClan's Knight of the Wise on her way through the slow-moving ice of her fate, and no cat has felt the pull of the frozen stars as the half-blind warrior followed by a ghost. An astrologer and strategist, Hiddenchalice is a sharp-minded, quiet-tongued diplomat, with an uncanny intuition. Arranged marriages to strategic decisions, her sense for the underworld of meaning in day-to-day conversation is unmatched. She appears mostly white, long-furred, cracks of earthen brown and molten orange upon her legs, peeking through her snowy overcoat. Spots that she smothers with her gait, slinking and low to the mountains, like she is listening for their advice. Perfectly balanced, like a whet blade. Tall, dark-tufted ears betray her heritage; a mountain and a forest cat in one, stock-limbed and long-clawed, and there, her blind eye, somehow swimming with lucidity, focused on nothing here but something beyond the horizon. Perhaps her formless, borealis God. But as much as she whispers debt to the Northern Lord with every paw step, he is not what led her to her beloved Clan. In fact, it was her mother. An expat from a rank of spies long deceased and long mythologized for their silent fierceness, Hiddenchalice once believed she herself belonged to the clutches of outsiders, until her father, brave and heralded WinterClan warrior stock, discovered her mother's origins on the precipice of a snowy cliff. A hooked diamond of sacred make, jutting from an ice floe among the Jagged Falls. It rests in her den, covered by moss and lichen, and Hiddenchalice oft consults it for advice. She says it asks to be called the Godthief, and communes with it in secret; the messages she hears are in her own voice. When her father had taken Hiddenchalice there, to the falls, she felt home for the first time. She can often be found there, mumbling strategies and prayers, letting her soft-spoken nature fall to the bottom of the broken rocks and shatter as her mind sorts itself. A busy-minded she-cat she always was, but her silence never slowed her speed. As blunt as she is soft, she socializes minimally, but earnestly, and finds comfort in simply being able to observe the prosperity of her clan-mates. Her quick mind and patient tongue make her an excellent hunter; at least once a year, she has the pride of bringing a small hawk to the den of the clan, and her eyes shine with pride. Her bed is adorned with grey spotted feathers, clutched in amputated talons. In battle she is conservative, and as an apprentice, she was squalled for this. Her eye itself was not the result of a cautious step in battle; given from birth, her penchant for silence and secretiveness earned her her name, as despite her half-sight, she managed to find crags and crannies none of the other kits could fathom, and her parents were frightened for her loss many times. Her warrior name was awarded by her steadfast mentor, Stonechalice, who tended the falls and, each spring, assembled a small posse of strong cats to break up the ice floes blocking the fresh water to encourage the presence of fish and drinking rabbits. A victim of the falls themselves, Stonechalice perished on the cliffs one day, late in Hiddenpaw's training. Hiddenpaw gingerly slunk to the bottom of the falls, distraught, and tried for a full sun cycle to pull her mentor back to camp, but in her grief she could not find the strength, and was discovered by a dusk patrol, soaked in her mentor's blood. To this day, some think Hiddenchalice a murderer. To this day, she does not entertain her doubters. Hiddenchalice and her Godthief demand absolute loyalty to the Lord of the North, and despite her age, her naming of Knight was quick after her warrior naming and devoid of question, as she was appointed so due to discovering her mother's plot to assassinate Chaostheory, the Clan's Warlock. Her honour demanded she exile her kin to protect her Clan, and this deed earned her a place of trust among the high ranks, despite the bloody smear of Stonechalice upon her past. Some revel in the touching sentiment of Hiddenchalice continuing her beloved mentor's lineage, others cry foul and suspect it is a case of stolen identity, but either way, she is perfectly balanced on thin ice, and remains the most astute strategist in WinterClan. Her mind like a diamond, her tail a great grey plume of whispering spirits following behind, she is an unsuspecting candidate for the heart of the winter, and yet, winter stalks her heart all the same.
HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER WORK WITH THE CURRENT STAFF? :
TUSK – an advisor and supporter of her sovereign, hidden is extreeeeeeemely loyal and suggestible to her opinion. she almost comes off as tusk's shadow, accompanying her sometimes against her will hahah (sneaky girl loves to eavesdrop) and if anyone is speaking of her within the clan, hidden almost definitely knows about it. tusk and hidden's nature are similar in their stoic aspects, but hidden is much more ambiguous than tusk, and they probably would develop a kind of symbolic yet blunt way of communicating that would lead to a pretty deep understanding between them
CHAOS – i feel like hiddenchalice would be wary of chaostheory, if not his outright rival!!! they are pretty much two sides of the same coin; busy-minded unpredictable astute cats, one introverted, one extroverted. i feel like she may even develop a love-hate relationship with him as he is difficult to pin down and predict, though she would be intent on trying to figure him out and work with him
FALLINGPAW – she definitely admires fallingpaw's knowledge and skill, and tries not to come off patronizing due to his age, and the fact that she is actually not that much older than him. she would appreciate his astute mind and blunt personality as well, and wouldn't be nearly as offended by him as maybe a more precious cat might be. she may even seek him out for advice, and defend his reputation within the clan
WHAT DRAWS YOU TO WINTERCLAN? : the CALL OF THE NORTH!!!!!! hahah no but really winter has always been one of my favourite clans lore-wise, with the theme of it. i've been really into scandanavian/norse lore these days due to elden ring and the film the northman so i am primed and ready to contribute to this clan as much as i can with my pea mind taken over by yggdrasil and northern warriors
WHAT MIGHT YOU WANT TO SEE DIFFERENT IN WINTER?: – a winterclan court. going with the royal/religious themes, maybe even inventing custom suffixes that those born under winter blessed by the northern god (or sub-dieties) would posses. the crystal aspect would be so cool here too; court-holders could dole them out to cats vying for status or places of honour in certain religious-based ceremonies. this would also be a great point of controversy if there were to be some sort of religious corruption involved, cats attempting to climb the latter falsely, or even committing heresy! – more custom info about the exact nature of these cats' religion/religious ceremonies in general would be really cool to flesh out – adding to the northern/norse/scandanavian vibes, i would love to see some incorporations of runes into the culture of lord borealis, something like a language that only winterclanners can decipher. marked into the stone and winter snow by patrols, by witches, all meant to strengthen the bond of winterclan cats to their lord of winter, and to each other. – i would love to have the opportunity to add to the geographical lore of winterclan as well. stuff like maps, landmarks, sacred paths and passages, even artifacts hidden within the lands would be smth i would be really interested in working on

Thank you to everyone that tried out <3 I'm so excited that people were interested!! lavellan is going to be our rp deputy <3 We also have two rp positions, Knight of the Stars and Knight of the Wise that I would love to extend to any of you who might be interested? I loved your ideas for Winter and would love to still have y'all on the team. Let me know if you're interested in either of those positions! <3
