Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For the last few weeks, it seemed extremely quiet around the clan. Aries had finally left, though the seeds of doubt that he had planted about Hystericstar's leadership didn't vanish with him. The tom in question didn't particularly help things, either. The demotion of the Aurulent had put more weight on his shoulders, meaning that his public appearances were rare and few between. Many cats had left the clan, and though the true reason was unknown, there would always be rumors. They left because they couldn't stand Hystericstar anymore - no! What if Hystericstar was experimenting on them? Of course, no one could prove such things to be true or false, and the only one capable of knowing for sure was the leader himself - who was characteristically silent on the matter.
Weakness and doubt always left room for others to exploit it, so long as the timing was right. Aries, for his part, hadn't remained still and quiet. Even though the tom was no longer in the clan, he had his sources and allies outside. All it took was a few choice words to manipulate them, and they would all fall into the pad of his paw.
With the moon high in the sky, it was time to strike.
Greyhunt never really minded standing on guard duty at night. The job was boring, as the trail leading into the camp was almost entirely abandoned, with only the few odd clanmates that weren’t asleep yet passing through. There was a reason why many who took this job fell asleep while on duty, but Greyhunt remained alert. The wind was pushing towards the mountains, allowing her to soak in the scent of the surrounding woods. It was relaxing, really. Perhaps after her shift, when she got a bit of rest, she would head out to hunt and truly take in the-
The wind had shifted, and Greyhunt froze. The faint traces of unknown scents danced around her, and her eyes flickered over the camp, trying to pinpoint the source. There, closer to the mountain entrance of camp, near a tunnel, she could just barely make out the shadows of multiple cats.
“AMBUSH!”
The yowl echoed throughout the camp, shattering the silent shroud of the night. Already, cats were shifting in their dens, poking their heads out to see what was going on. The warning didn’t leave much time, however. The shadows were descending into camp; the rogues’ attack had already begun.
✧ everyone is welcome to make or rp a rogue for this!
✧ think about how your cats feel about Hysteric. perhaps a couple of cats take advantage of the chaos c;
Whitewolf had just settled into his nest, and had been cleaning his paws when he got an odd feeling and stopped to observe around him. Only moments later did Greyhunt’s warning split the air and he was out of the warriors den and ran headfirst into one of the first rogues to breach the camp walls.
Things had been quiet recently, and it was as if something was bound to happen, but he hadn’t expected this. He personally hadn’t been around the clan while Aries had begun to stir the pot, but it seemed it was finally boiling over. With a hiss, the massive white tom made quick work of the scrawny cat that had gotten in his way.
As cats beside her ran, shoved, pushed, jostled, to move past her and scramble out of the tunnels to their impending battle, she walked out like she had come here like a tourist. Sirena meandered out of the tunnels, followed with something akin to a quickened pace, but instead of that battle-hungry eagerness, she instead gave her calico pelt a small shake, clearing it of dirt and debris, and breathed in the smell of fresh air.
Ah. So this was Fallclan. It was pretty; she'd been prepared for it to be. Or rather she'd hoped it was, or all her wants for visiting this place would have been dashed, would have just turned into a petty battle for petty reasons. He certainly wouldn't be there if it wasn't pretty. But it was, and as she descended upon the camp, along with the rest of her companions in battle, she took note that though it was spring the trees retained such a vibrant color and liveliness to them that she was sure that in the more autumnal seasons they'd surely be stunning. Good, good. This made for a good start.
“AMBUSH!”
As she padded into the camp, she gave a slightly annoyed, slightly amused hum in response, something of a musical sigh as she unsheathed her claws, her stride quickened as she looked through the foreign area, starting to populate with the natives rising from there nests. There were so few around now, but she figured that would change — either way, she'd get a chance to peruse the crowd soon enough. Exploring, observing, — that was for later, the first few drops of blood would probably have to be shed first. And so she turned her gaze, a burning, almost contemptuous amusement, to the cat who sounded the alarm. "My my, you're very loud. A bit shrill though, did you know that?" She asked, more humor than malice to her tone as she took a half-hearted swipe at Greyhunt.
The sound of fighting cats snapped her from her slumber and froze her in place for a moment, perhaps she was unsure if what she'd heard was real or fantasy, when the sound of an unfamiliar voice brought her to her paws. Chestnutpaw took tentative steps towards the source, peeking out to see what was going on before making her entrance. As she saw rogues and clanmates beginning to lock together in battle terror struck through her. She was a new apprentice and never took much of a liking to fighting anyway. The she-cat only moved to help her clanmates when another apprentice shoved past her, already hissing.
Hollowpaw had no qualms with barreling into the intruders immediately and shoved past Chestnutpaw with a wild hiss. His claws scraped the ground as he charged into the nearest rogue, toppling both of them over and clawing furiously, spit flying from his mouth.
wrenpansy The relief that flooded into Greyhunt's heart at the sight of more of her clanmates shaking themselves awake was indeed welcome. She honestly hadn't been sure if her cry had come too late, but the immediate appearance of Whitewolf helped her shake away her fears. She had been in time. Before she could get too distracted, her mind turned back to the camp full of rogues. Her home had been transformed into a battlefield before her very eyes - the normal, peaceful cheers of kits now replaced with battlecries. Still, the majority of the camp was still asleep. They were sure to wake up in time, given how loud it had suddenly become, but would it be soon enough?
Turning her head, she caught the glimpse of Chestnutpaw poking her head out of the den. She was about to open her mouth to give orders, but suddenly a new, unfamiliar form was in front of her. Taunting her. "Oh, darling, you'll have to do better than that," Greyhunt replied, a smirk making its way onto her face. She tilted her head, though her gaze flickered to a form behind the rogue. "I've been told much, much worse. A little bit of creativity in insults goes a long way." She didn't make any movements to dodge the weak swipe, and instead used it as an opportunity to lock eyes with Acorncharm, who was behind the rogue, and gave a subtle motion towards the apprentice den.
Although it was definitely a half-hearted swipe, it had caught Greyhunt in the face. When her gaze turned back to the rogue, there was a new scratch beginning to form on her cheek. "Well that's just no fun."
faeish Whatever Acorncharm had expected to find outside when she woke up to the shout, she definitely wasn't prepared for a battle. She stood, frozen, for a few seconds, her breath caught in her throat. Death had always been around her, but never had it felt so real. She had never seen any of her friends or family die, and she wasn't prepared to yet. Though, was anyone ever prepared? Her yellow-green eyes swept across the battlefield, and momentarily she thought she saw Whitewolf. That was all she needed to be knocked back into reality, and she ran into the battlefield, her heard pounding rapidly in her chest. She had to find some way to help.
That was when she had caught Greyhunt's eye, and her brain worked long enough through the fear to process the motion. Glancing towards the apprentice den, she recognized Chestnutpaw. What was it that Greyhunt wanted her to do, though? It wasn't like Acorncharm was the strongest warrior out there, and Chestnutpaw was hardly even an apprentice. There were so many better options for fighters asleep yet!
Oh. Somehow, Acorncharm had managed to make her way to the den without being attacked. "Chestnutpaw! Help me wake everyone up!"
It all seemed so surreal; perhaps Chestnutpaw always knew this day would come, but bitterly shoved the thought away. She knew what she trained for but, after all, but she never wanted to be a participant in this bloody scene. She was caught mid-recoil when Acorncharm shouted to her, "Help me wake everyone up!"
All of a sudden, she felt kicked into overdrive. Without another moment's notice she flicked back into the apprentice's den and yowled bloody murder, watching the confused expressions on her clanmates' face as they were woken and began their descent into the madhouse she had found herself in. Without another word she made her way out and swiftly shot towards the warriors' den, eager to inform everyone there and continue to the leader's. After that she supposed she would make her way to the nursery; if she were going to spill blood, Chestnutpaw felt right in being in that entrance, defending the lifeline of her Clan: the innocents and their mothers. If she could not put her love of herbs to use, she would defend these babies with her life.
The loud noises of the battle attract the attention of a hairless she-cat who quietly entered the camp seeking how to take advantage of it, an injured cat or even a queen would be the easyest things to attack but when she was walking through the camp thinking, she saw Chestnutpaw defending the nursery. If Violet could take Chestnutpaw out, one of the other Rouges could take advantage of that or even she could do something but now wasn't the time to stay in the middle of the battle thinking about good things that could happend she was there to fight, to rembember good old days so she prepared to charged against the apprentice and start the fight.
There were tufts of fur flying from different directions all around him, followed by yelps and shrieks of pain and anger. Whitewolf didn’t have a direct opponent at the moment and he took the extra few seconds to glance around him. He spotted Greyhunt squaring off with another cat, but was sure she would handle her own. Acorncharm appeared next, and he let out a silent breath of thanks that she was okay. She must have woken right after him, and she and Chestnutpaw were alerting the rest of camp to the danger. His back was turned from the rogue that was approaching he nursery, and as he got drug back into the battle, he had no time to notice.
Luckily, another cat did.
Rosepaw had been woken by her denmate’s scream, and she had woken expecting the den to be caving in or something. Quickly gaining awareness she heard the sounds of battle and exited the den just a few moments after Chestnutpaw. Her gaze followed just in time to see the rogue approaching the other apprentice, and Rosepaw knew she wouldn’t make it close enough in time. “Chestnutpaw, watch out!”
Chestnutpaw had her back turned to the rogue that was eyeing her, attempting to alert those in the nursery of the attack and make sure they were all accounted for. Her ears just picked up the Rosepaw's shout through the loud shrieking of battle and she froze momentarily before whipping around, eyes widening as she saw the hairless rogue hurling her way.
The young apprentice made an attempt to shove the she-cat away from her but was too late and was barreled over. Fear coursed through her as the weight of the rogue pressed against her and she tried hard to scratch against them, letting out a shriek of terror and squeezing her eyes shut; perhaps Chestnutpaw was trying to will it all way, to believe that it was just a dream, though she knew the truth.
A scrawny tom that seemed too young to be in the fight shoved his way into the FallClan cats with a savage yowl that didn't hold much weight. He was a rogue with nothing to lose and everything to gain, and was quick to dive headfirst into the tumultuous battle, seeking out the nearest FallClan cat and raking his filthy claws down their side.
With only a moments worth of hesitation, Rosepaw weaved her way through the throng of fighting cats towards the nursery. She'd seen Chestnutpaw get bowled over by the rogue, and she wasn't about to watch her friend and clan-mate get torn to shreds if there was something that she could do about it. "Leave her alone!" she yelled, sending a warning swipe at the cat who was threatening to enter the den where the kits were sheltered.
When the feeling of claws digging deep into the side of his pelt, Whitewolf was quick to turn on the enemy and swipe out with a massive paw of his own. He'd been thrown off slightly, missing the scrawny tom by mere centimeters.

Violet put her claws inside the fur of the apprentice and when she heard they screamed of fear she think it would be so esay to kill that apprentice than she expected, "What happend little girl? You don't even know how to defend yourself?" She started laughing at the apprentice before killing her but before she could end her laugh she felt a scratch in her on her side. She spun around to face the new opponent with her eyes flaming with fury, she saw Rosepaw, another little apprentice promoted yesterday? It would be so easy, her fury vanished to pass to a big smile in her face "Oh, you're defending your little friend? How beautiful" She started lashing her tail waiting to the apprentice to make the first move.
"Leave her alone!" The sound of Rosepaw's voice made her eyes snap open in an instant. She watched as the rogue turned her attention to Rosepaw, fear still coursing through her but now it was laced with adrenaline. Seeing her opportunity, she shoved her hind legs as hard as she could into the she-cat, hoping that it was enough to knock her off of her and give Rosepaw a chance to attack.

The scrawny tom felt grateful that he was so small; it gave him the speed he needed to quickly launch himself into Whitewolf after his missed swipe. He gave a rather pathetic yowl as he clutched to the much larger tom, trying to knock him to the ground with his furious scrabbling. Though he hadn't really had any training, he was used to fighting with everything he had to defend his life, and it made him a worthy opponent, at least for now.
Rosepaw had kept her gaze focused on the rogue as she’d spun to confront her, and she felt a surge of pride in her friend and clan mate as Chestnutpaw sent the she-cat flying in her direction. With what little training she had, and the instinct and drive to protect her clan, she acted naturally. She moved slightly, going to the side of the larger cat before she latched onto her shoulder, using her front claws for a hold while she used her back claws to try and shred her opponent, hoping to feel blood between her claws at any moment.
The larger tom didn’t have much time to think, but it was enough time to come up with the smallest of strategies. He allowed the rogue to pull him down, using the momentum and his larger frame to roll and crush his opponent beneath him for a moment, knocking the breath from him. Scrabbling to his paws, he faced off with the scrawny tom, ready for his next move.

Chestnutpaw took by suprise to Violet, the apprentice looked too scared to fight that she didn't expect to make a move and then she notice the claws of Rosepaw, this could be her end?...no she has more strenght than Rosepaw and she tried to take off Rosepaw, it couldn't be so hard she was just an apprentice nothing more they even were warriors.
"Get off me, you fool!" She was more irritated than every fight that she fought, it was the first time that she fear for her life, it was the first time that she fought without partner and to two cats the only thing she could do is leave that place.
