All of them are unrelated, unless you don't want them to be <3 The warriors can also be apprentices if you'd rather! All are devoted to NightClan, but whether that means to Kier or Snowblister is up to you <3
☆ APPRENTICES ☆SNEAKYPAW (SNAP) — a car saleswoman, gaudy and crass, thinks she’s charming but really she’s just loud. one of the boys, looks down on girls; would slam back drinks at the pub with the lads and wolf whistle at passing girls just like them. reporter.
(i am so tempted by her so someone else take her) actually i’m even going to reserve her while i decide so she’s off the market for a hot minuteTIPTOEPAW (TRICKSTER) — runs a racket in rumours. don’t have information for class when snowblister expects it? meet him behind the sports shed. want a hand getting your class boosted, or to really indict someone you hate who’s going on trial? he’s got the goods. he’s got ins with all sorts of superiors and he’ll sweet talk ‘em for you. reporter.
CREEPYPAW (CRAWL) — the obnoxious party animal, the guy doing the worm for attention in front of the DJ speakers. executioner, but he’s on thin ice because one time he bumped into kier while he was eating and made him choke in public and he’s been giving him the stink eye since. incredibly violent.
☆ NEW, YOUNG WARRIORS ☆IMPSCURRY — a little brown tabby she-cat; light-fingered, likes shiny things, is always stealing things for her nest or just because she can’t stop stealing. fantastic at climbing trees. executioner.
SLIPPERYTHIEF — slinky black tom with amber eyes; knows everything about everyone, the dream reporter. but he mainly just uses it as a party trick — him, drunk: “ask me a question” “what’s my mother’s mother’s maiden name” “ask me something harder” “where did my kindergarten girlfriend’s mum go to uni” “peru” “WHAT THE HELL?” total waste of space layabout. reporter.
☆These apprentices, really older kits, were snatched from SunClan when the clan was collapsing and the volcano was erupting — rather than helping their neighbours escape and offering them shelter, NightClan preyed on the chaos to steal their kits to bolster their own ranks. Their queens hadn’t been doing their duties fast enough, so Kier sent his gaggle of cruel apprentices to turn the disaster into a selfish solution. They picked the kits off one by one so that when the mothers looked around, they were just suddenly gone; the mothers wailed and searched, the kits were silenced in the shadows of the desert rocks as the apprentices watched and waited with their paws over their mouths, and the volcano raged on. Finally, in the molten aftermath, nothing was left. The mothers were dragged away by their fleeing Clan and the kits were taken to their dark new home. They remember only snippets of lava and ash and screaming, and don't know they aren't NightClan-born.
The above apprentices, and the warriors when they were apprentices, were some of those ones who kidnapped them, so they can have a protective bond if you like, or they can care less for the brats because it was just what was asked of them. Any other apprentices or young warriors already on the page can also have partaken in that SunClan kit-theft <3 They were raised by a nursemaid, same as any other kits, so there's nothing suspicious there. Most are devoted to NightClan, but there's more wiggle room here. They're unrelated unless you want them to be (except for Soot and Charcoal, they
can't be related), just from the same (unbeknownst to them) SunCan nursery.
Kier was rather on the nose with the names, though; take it as rubbing it in the face of the unknown mothers ♡
☆ YOUNG APPRENTICES ☆DESERTPAW (FEAST) — enthusiastic about nightclan, as if she knows something is off about her birth and she wants to prove herself. violent, eager to please, and eager to get the kits she was raised with ahead of the game. executioner.
SOOTPAW (INURE) — dark, ashy grey. as a soft-looking, disarmingly pretty she-cat, she knows the clock is ticking for her, counting down the hours until she'll be put in the nursery - time is running out and she's desperate to prove that she can have value as a reporter or executioner. she knows that looks in nightclan make her prey for toms before anything else, so to counter-act that, she's learned how to use them to get what she wants and to stay safe, well cared for, and buy herself more time. she plays on her image as a 1950s hollywood showgirl to keep the hourglass sands from slipping through until she's made her mark and prove herself. reporter, but teetering dangerously close to inferior as she grows older and older and her looks improve.
CHARCOALPAW (PEAK) — dark, ashy grey as well; he and sootpaw look like twins, even though they're not. protective of her, sweet, deferential, selfless... but he's in the sinking ship of having his moral objection to nightclan's misogyny worn down more and more as he grows up — he sees how it benefits him; he starts to nod along and stay quiet when the toms say things; soon, he'll be as bad as any of them. and where will sootpaw be then? he's had a crush on her since they were young kits, but it's getting a little less sweet and a little more creepy as he starts to buy into the world around them and think she owes him something. they were the sweet twins as kids that everyone gushed over and took photos of, with matching blond(e) hair and big smiles, and now that's turned sinister. reporter.
RUINPAW (SHRINE) — angry, explosive, insecure. desperate to prove himself, to fit in, to be valued. has no sense of self-preservation - he'll do anything to be noticed. reporter, but aching to be an executioner.
BURNEDPAW (MASSACRE) — he bears the wounds of the volcanic eruption, though he doesn't know how he got them: his legs are scarred and hairless for where he dangled too close in his mother's jaws to the lava. shy, soft, nervous. nightclan, ever the bullies who'd love a freak show, hasn't been kind to him, treating him like a beast to be viewed because of his legs. an executioner, but even that was a bit of a cruel joke at his expense; no one thinks he could really ever do it. really, he's treated like an inferior.
