Sharkpaw's eyes were wide, her tail unable to resist wagging behind her. And yet, her paw was as steady as possible. She had found the beach to be a more stable surface for her little hobby of building the tallest pebble tower. That and the sound of waves relaxed her. Somewhere down there was the thing she was named after, she had no clue what it looked like.
The pebbles themselves weren't sharp in her vision, more grey blobs that melted together into one big tower. She could barely make out where one ended and the next began, but that didn't stop the tower from becoming decently high. Well, high for her standards. About 10 or so pebbles were stacked on each other, balancing percariously as her paw hovered over the tower with the 11th. A seagull cried above her as she tried to make out where the top of the tower was in the dying sun.
Turtlepaw watched with bated breath as she watched {Her sister if we want to go that path?}, she had been napping a ways from the shore just close enough to watch Sharkpaw's endeavor and become invested in her successes. steady! she thought the herself. the scent of the ocean was soothing and it was a beautiful evening.

Such things were never meant to last. Sharkpaw's favorite part of this was knocking it over, watching the pebbles scatter across the ground. The higher the tower, however, the more satisfying it was to watch it fall. So her paw shook the more she tried to steady it. Having her sister watching her so intensely did not help, and Sharkpaw could feel stage fright creeping up on her.
She pulled her paw away from the tower, dropping the pebble to lightly tap herself on both sides of her face. "UGH! Focus, Sharkpaw. You can do it." The tower still stood ominously in front of her, shifting slightly at even the faintest turn of the breeze.

"You got this!" Turtlepaw whispered creeping back a little almost afraid her existence would make the tower tumble. she moved her head slightly following the slight shift of the pebble tower, her eyes wide, but relaxing as it settled again. "I believe!" she mewed again,

(it's all good. it is for me too.)
Sharkpaw's pelt fluffed up at the encouragement. It felt good, but also daunting. Like she somehow needed to do this, or some power of sisterhood was going to keep this tower standing. Would anything change if it did? Or didn't? Probably not. But Sharkpaw mind began to race with the question. And faced with this uncertainty, her paw shook again. She couldn't back out though, not again. Reaching forward, the pebble threatening to slip out between her claws, she steadied for the briefest of moments. Long enough for her to place the pebble and quickly pull away. But her movement was too quick, and the tower swayed, attempting to keep itself in equilibrium. Gravity was far too strong though, and Sharkpaw could only stare blankly at the pebbles scattered across the sand.
