Shadows danced on the ground as the breeze drifted through NightClan's territory. It was just past midnight and Grayjaw was out for a hunt. He paused in the undergrowth, jaws parted while he scented for prey. The other cats on his patrol were scattered around the vicinity, each alert for prey-scent. He tasted mouse in the air and prowled forward until he was mere tail-lengths away. At that moment, the wind shifted and the mouse squeaked as his scent blew towards it. He leaped, making the kill right before it could dart away into a tangle of tree roots. That was close...
Bunnypaw followed the scent of prey, low to the ground, his dark bangle pelt hiding him in the shadows. The trail lead him to the warrior, stalking a mouse, not wanting to scare his clanmates quarry he paused, waiting, watching with yellow unblinking eyes. Once Grayjaw made his kill, Bunnypaw padded from the shadows with a purr, "That was a close one." He mewed a shining smile adorned his soft features, and his eyes where friendly, but a hint of something cold lay below. "May hunt with you?" He mewed giving a friendly wave of his tail.

Grayjaw gave a shrug as the apprentice emerged from the shadows, eyeing him up and down. “As long as you don’t make a burden of yourself, I don’t care what you do.” He smirked, leaned down to claw a small mound of dirt over his catch.
“You have any experience hunting as a pair?” He thought he knew the answer given this mistrust sown amongst the ranks of the Clan, but maybe the apprentice would surprise him.
