Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[ I know these are horrifically overdue- sorry yall! a lot of things in my personal life have pulled me away from classic for a bit <3 ]
Soulpaw -> Soulpyre [lavellan ] | Treasure Hunter Netherpaw-> Nethersurge [uniqcrim ] | class here <3
The cheers of the clan crescendoed together- with only two newly named warriors, the calls twined together in near perfect unison. "Congratulations," a foreign twist of bashfulness fluttered up but did not shatter the cool elegance of Sunstar's voice. Both Soulpyre and Nethersurge were cats she had once trained beside, cats who'd preceded her in the apprentices' den, and yet fate boosted her to leadership while they studied under countless mentors, overlooked for promotion time and time again. "Nethersurge, Soulpyre- SummerClan thanks you for your dedication and patience, and it is entirely my honor to have given you your warrior names. Foxfable has prepared a feast in celebration of your promotions."
It was no secret her deputy, while not endowed with physical strength, had a certain finesse when it came to food. She could see many cats starting to gain a couple pounds of late- herself included- and she probably shouldn't have greenlit yet another dinner party, but who was upset about eating good? Certainly not Hippostep... or anyone else for that matter.
Still, bulging bellies aside, there was a more pressing concern weighing on Sunstar's mind. Foxfable and the medicine cats were already heading into her den by time she was stepping down from the High Hill, and before she followed them inside, she cast a glance around that summoned each of her leads to her as well. Sunveins had cheered loudly too alongside her clanmates; she didn't know Soulpyre too well but she and Nethersurge were friends, both training as warriors at one point. She padded over to them to join in the cheer. "Congratulations," she greeted with a bright grin, "you'll make a great Treasure hunter!"
After mingling for a bit, and of course, complimenting Foxfable's food, before heading towards Sunstar's den per the look she gave them earlier in the ceremony. To tell the truth, she had been worried about Sunstar for a while now; she always seemed like she was holding so much on her shoulders. After the battle with NightClan, Sunstar seemed to have...changed. Perhaps banning any relationship with NightClan might seem normal, but sending away Doefreckle and closing herself off was a little concerning.
Despite his quietness, Cypresspaw still cheered as the two received their names, and though he didn’t know them too well, only recalling them briefly from the time he had stayed in the apprentices’ den, he felt a sense of wonderment at being present at such a ceremony. It all seemed so cheery, and the feast prepared by Foxfable made it all the more merry. He still stuck to himself for the most part, hardly mingling, staying close to Sunveins until she wandered off to chat with the new warriors, leaving him on his own.
He was about to pick something small from the feast before he noticed Sunveins padding towards Sunstar’s den, nearly missing her nod towards him, though he still hesitated to follow. Cypresspaw didn’t know the leader well, found her more intimidating than anything else, though he supposed he shouldn’t be scared of her — she wasn’t unkind. He abandoned the feast and padded after her, poking his head into the den first before moving in as quietly and quickly as he could.
Soulpyre was moments away from giving a large grin to Sunveins and Nethersurge, but managed to catch himself just before. Instead, the tom gave a nod, but he was still unable to fully stop any form of expression as a smirk formed on his face. As Sunveins walked away, the silver bengal turned his full attention onto his brother. "About time, eh?" he said, glancing around the feast. "If I had known we were going to get an entire feast, maybe it wouldn't have taken us a year to finally get promoted."
In truth, Bubblechaser was rather blind to the majority of things going on in the clan. It was a side-effect from spending so much time outside of camp, it seemed, but the siamese still held herself together well despite that. Luckily, she was able to pick up on things quickly. The look that Sunstar had cast in her direction was answered as Bubblechaser followed behind Sunveins and Cypresspaw to the leader's den, quietly claiming a place for herself.
Foxfable was sure he was getting grey hairs. Although his parties always seemed to turn out well - his frantic preparation always producing something wonderful - they stressed him out. Big time. There was always so much to do to get things ready for everyone. Everything had to be just right. Each herb had to be placed in exactly the right place for it to impact the taste of the prey. He... had happened on this skill completely accidentally. When he was a child, he'd left his mouse a little too close to the rosemary for a little too long, and since that day, Foxfable had become a little chef, always experimenting to make sure his clanmates were fed much better than the others. He couldn't offer the clan much, but he could offer them a good meal. His whiskers twitched slightly as he adjusted the last spring of thyme (he swore he went outside of the territory to get his herbs, as to not disrupt Sunny's stash), blinking at his handiwork with a slight nod of approval.
As soon as he was satisfied, the tom made his way towards the leader's den. There was some sort of group meeting happening in there, and he guessed that as deputy, he was supposed to make an appearance. He fell in line behind Cypresspaw and ahead of the leader. Unlike Cypresspaw, he had no qualms about strutting into the den, and he found his place next to Sunveins.

Ravenmask was happy to be back in the camp again even if it would be only for a short while. He had grown fond of his new den in the lighthouse by the southern sea but he missed the fellowship of having lots of cats around. But if he would truly admit it, he was becoming fond of the quieter life he was now leading. He chose a place next to his denmate, Bubblechaser, and sat down, his eyes turned expectantly upon Sunstar.
“Oooh, secret important stuff,” Weevilspike purred, hurrying over to his sister and falling in with the other leads. “Make it quick, love of my life, Foxfable prepares the best feasts and daddy’s hungry. Oh, hi Foxfable,” he added, looking over his shoulder as the deputy entered. “You’re looking very nice. If Sunveins doesn’t act quickly, I’m gonna snatch you up — oh, Sunveins, I didn’t see you there.” Suddenly getting antsy, he shook his forepaws out and laughed around at everyone, looking physically pained. “Sorry, I’m really hungry.” He was always really hungry, and being able to smell the food now was torture.
"Why, thank you," he meowed, offering the leader's brother a smile. "It's taken me some time to learn, but I'm pretty proud of how things turned out." As he continued, though, Foxfable felt heat rise to his cheeks. "Oh, uh, thanks. You ... look nice yourself," he responded, ducking his head slightly at the mention of Sunveins. Of course, the older that they got, the more the rest of the clan grew suspicious of the duo, but they were just friends! He swore! Not that he minded the idea of being more than friends.... but that would be awkward, right? He glanced over to the medicine cat, offering a sheepish smile. "Guess you better hop on it, then," he meowed with an amused twitch of his whiskers, trying to recover quickly from his fumble of a response.
