Dayclan wasn't for her, but now Eden knew there were other options in the area for her to explore. She'd heard whispers of Primal Instinct, and her feet drew her in that general direction. Perhaps it wouldn't be a good fit, like the clans seemed to be, but perhaps there would be something for her to do there. She wasn't sure when she neared the territory, as her nose was still unaccustomed to all these new scents, but she kept her ears perked up, searching for a new companion.

Nour wasn't a stranger to the territory; despite not being old enough to really explore on her own–though she chalked it up to her parents being way too overprotective since the Laertes incident–she found herself sneaking out all the time, now more than ever. Her brother had gone missing and in a way, she had wondered if it was partially her doing. She didn't know where he was, but there was a part of her that wanted to be the one to find him. She didn't exactly feel guilt about it...but hey, she knew her parents were fighting over it.
Trotting out into the wild with her devil-can-do attitude, she didn't even seem to notice that Eden's scent was anything different. Had she been a trainee, perhaps she'd take the border thing a little more seriously, but she really didn't care about intruders or whatnot.
Eden assessed the she-cat that appeared before her- a bit smaller than herself, likely younger. A good enough playmate for today, she supposed. Plus, she liked the grin that spread across Nour's features. "It's my first time in the area," she said frankly, tilting her brown head with a smile. "What about you? Come here often, or am I just lucky to find you today?"

First time in the area? Ooh, fresh meat? Nour's face split into a wide grin at the thought of that. "Ooh, how exciting, well you know what they say, my house is yours, though you break anything and I'll claw your face off." A giggle left her mouth as she peered closely at Eden, grins and snarky smirks all written across her face. "It is your lucky day in fact, probably the luckiest day you'll ever have. I'm Nour, your golden ticket in or outta here...and who are you? Did you come from the city?"
She liked messing with the city rats after all, they were always so interesting, but then again, anyone not from around here was interesting to Nour. She had always been the kind of cat with an adventurer's soul.
"Not the city," Eden said, her tail tip twitching in amusement as she watched Nour. "I'm Eden, and I come from nowhere particularly interesting. Everybody looked like me and gods, they were all so self-obsessed and catty- they called it a breeder," she clarified with a bright laugh. "It was some small stuffy human's nest in the middle of nowhere."
"Where's here, anyway, Nour? Where are you going to be my golden ticket to? I promise I won't break anything," Eden added with a dazzling smile.
Eden huh? Pretty name. Nour's sly gaze and amused purr reflected that all right. A pretty name and a pretty cat. She laughed at Eden's story; there was no way that could exist right? "So you're part of a set of clones?" she asked incredulously, "did they all act the same too? That would be pretty freaky. Did they do the thing where you say something and all of them say it at the same time?"
She couldn't help but find amusement in whatever Eden's story was, but of course, the mention of where they were made her lips twist into another grin. "Oh, never been around?" she purred, wagging her brows, "you're near Primal Instinct actually. If my papa saw you he'd probably slice your throat, something about 'protecting the territory' or what not. Boring! Cats around here don't have a sense of humour honestly."
"I wish they were that interesting. But no, not quite clones, though we were all freakishly similar. It's hard to stand out in a place like that," Eden quipped, glancing around and making note of the landscape. Primal Instinct, huh? It was the place she'd been searching out, and she was pleased to hear she'd stumbled across an exclusive group. It would be a fun game, to see if she could join up without getting her throat slit.
Eden turned her gaze back to Nour, giving her a slow once-over. "I'm glad I stumbled across you then. It's so refreshing to hear that at least one of you has a sense of humor. Maybe you could show me around? I'm thinking of joining." Eden stepped a little closer, fixing Nour with her most charming smile. "If we run into your papa you can vouch for me."
A giggle left Nour's mouth. "I'd have liked to see that," she purred, "my siblings and I don't look that similar, especially Tilly. She's so fluffy it's almost like she took all the fur from the group of us." Nour was a chatterbox really, still young and full of zest. "You know, I don't think I've seen a cat that's all brown without stripes before...that's kind of weird. Why don't you have stripes anyway?" She had a lot of questions that didn't lead to anywhere, but hey, she didn't exactly have much care in the world.
She wasn't supposed to show anyone around. In fact, she wasn't even supposed to be here; her mother had kept the others under a closer eye after Laertes had disappeared but she didn't care. There wasn't a single place Nour couldn't sneak out of; she was an escape artist after all. "What do you want to see anyway? I'm not heading up to the mountains to that creepy weird town thing if that's what you're asking. It's too much of a hike. I could show you the weird swamp though. I saw god there once."
"I must've left them behind," Eden remarked blithely, glancing down at her smooth brown pelt before grinning up at her companion. The lone she-cat was young as well, happy to chatter away in response to her slightly younger new friend. Nour's last comment made her laugh out loud, her brow raising in delighted surprise.
"You've met god? I'd love to meet her- I've no need for the town thing you're referencing, but I'd love to see the swamp. Do you think god's still there?" Eden stepped forward to stand beside Nour, nodding for her to lead the way.

Nour's expression was bright still, as innocent as a fox's and yet, still appearing just as naive. "Yeah, I met her once in a pool of ice water, I can introduce you if you want, but my papa said I shouldn't try to meet god again," she shrugged nonchalantly as if this was just conversation about the weather, "ugh, when Laertes does it it's 'training' and 'a competition' and when I do it, it's 'stop trying to kill yourself Nour' and 'you're insane if you think that was god.' The double standard is ridiculous honestly."
She already began leading the way towards the swamp. "So where are you from anyway?"
"Your dad sounds boring," Eden said, following alongside Nour and sweeping her gaze along the flora in order to commit it to memory. "You're clearly fine, so I don't see an issue in going back. If anything, I'll look out for you. I've been on my own for two weeks now, so I'm pretty much a pro at it." Truthfully, Eden didn't care much if Nour lived or died, but it did seem a shame to lose such an amusing playmate before experiencing everything she had to offer.
"It was a two leg nest on the city outskirts," she answered her question. "I wasn't kidding when I said we all looked alike. My parents called it a breeder- we were all Havana Browns, and when my litter mates and I grew up, they started to give us away to different two legs. I was the sixth kit in my moms fifth litter, so she was used to it by then. I was the last to go, but the older she-two leg who took me left the door to her nest open and I decided to leave. Then I found a group called Dayclan but they were too easy to talk to. I like a challenge. Have you always lived in Primal Instinct?"
She gave him a wide grin. "Oh I know," she laughed brightly, "that's what my mama says too, but you know, you always have to have a boring one to match the exciting one I guess. What do they all say? Opposites attract or something? Who knows, I wonder how my parents are even together sometimes, they're so weird." She shook her head at the thought. Nour was however, intrigued about Eden and the freedom she seemed to have. "What's it like living on your own anyway? Meet any badgers? Steal any food from other cats?"
"Ugh, that sounds gross," she wrinkled her nose at the thought of being given away, as if something could dictate her life like that, "I'd hate to have to just listen to whatever some twoleg says I have to do. Oh yeah, I grew up around here but my mama sometimes lived in DayClan, the cats are so weird there, we should go make a mess in their territory sometime." A bright grin was on her face. "Mama brought us there once, are they still eating weird fruit off the trees?"
"No badgers," Eden responded cheerfully. "I did see a snake though! And an owl. I'm only good at catching mice, but the ones I get are scrawny. I snagged a half-eaten rabbit from an empty den, and I swear I heard someone looking for me after that. I escaped them pretty easily though."
"I think they are," was her response to the fruit question, though she hadn't stuck around long enough to learn any such thing. "I already can tell I'm gonna like it better here. Do you guys take newcomers? I can catch mice for you... or explore new places for you. There wasn't much else to do when I lived alone, and I don't know how your group cats live."

Snakes and owls were definitely fascinating, though she had yet to see either. She knew owls only came out in the night, and she had yet to find a way to sneak out of her mother's tight grasp when they were tucked underneath her. Her parents weren't exactly deep sleepers either; it was easier sneaking out in the day rather than the night when she had to make sure not a single sound could be made. Oh, she couldn't wait to be a trainee honestly; it was getting irritating how she was still subject to something as silly as rules.
Though, Eden's suggestion made a lightbulb go off above Nour's head, as her ears immediately perked in interest. "Yeah we could," she replied brightly, a smirk on her face, "you can be my protege! I've been looking for someone to drag along for a while now, Tilly's annoying and Cordelia's always with mom and ugh, don't get me started on Iago, he's literally the worst." She needed fun! Excitement! Now with Laertes gone and Tilly being so fussy all the time, she was starting to get bored. "I actually want to sneak out of the league's territory and see what else there is out there but I have to wait until I'm older apparently, isn't that stupid? But anyway, when I do, I'll need an assistant; every magician needs one and you seem like you know what you're doing."
Eden's smile grew in response to Nour's enthusiasm, a smile of amusement and apparent acquiescence. Of course, Eden would be the one pulling the strings, as she was no one's submissive assistant, but it would be oh so easy to whisper things in Nour's ear, to influence her decisions and see what she could make her do. And for the time being, there were things she could learn from this she-kit about Primal Instinct and how life worked her.
A partial shield and a partial play-thing. Nour was shaping up to be a great companion. "Yes! That sounds great," she purred. "You can help me adjust to the League and I can help you when we sneak out and explore. We'll be thick as thieves- are we almost to where you found god? This place looks swampy enough to me."

Nour was eager to have someone else who wasn't a party pooper. Her siblings were fine but having grown up with few other younglings other than the irritating Iago, she didn't have a lot of friends to pressure, I mean convince to go on her silly little adventures, and with the overprotective nature of her parents, especially after Laertes disappeared, she was just so utterly bored.
"Almost," she replied, moving deeper into the swamp, "we need to go closer to the waterfall, you know? There's a special stone there, I don't know what it does but it looks really cool to me."
The rushing of water could be heard, and Nour's steps moved a little faster.
"How'd you find this place?" Eden glanced around again, admiring the thick vines and moss that hung from the trees. Special stones and swamps and waterfalls were all new to her, even after her few weeks of adventuring. She was trying her best to commit them to memory, and to remember the way here so she could come on her own if she wanted. "Do you explore on your own a lot? Your dad sounds kind of strict. I didn't think he'd let you out on your own."
"Does god grant you wishes? Do you think I could ask for longer fur?"

"Eh, you live and you learn," she gave Eden a smirk, though her words really meant nothing to the other cat. "My dad thinks he's really scary but he's just a big ol' softie, he lets my mom bully him a lot. He usually doesn't care even though he acts like he does, but you know, I watched him fight some cats once; it was really fun! He broke a cat's leg and almost killed another one in one go! It was super cool; I definitely need to learn how to fight like that one day, you know? I'd kill so many clan cats, they'll take one look at me and go screaming!"
Eden nodded in admiration. "Wow! Who was he fighting? Does everyone out here know how to fight like that?" Not that Eden really cared about fighting in particular- it would be a useful tool in her arsenal, sure, but only as a means to an end or for protection. Nour's family seemed interesting, at least. More interesting than the clan cats, in any case, and she certainly appreciated the apparent lawlessness of this group.

She giggled. "It was those stupid NightClan cats, I dunno why they were here...but my sister almost died! It was so weird, they were all so weird I don't know what they wanted other than you know, getting their butts kicked by my dad." She seemed completely unfazed by the fact that many more league cats had died, and that her baby sister literally almost died. In fact, she seemed unfazed by almost everything.
