Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The charcoal bengal sat the picture of serenity on the bridge, tail waving behind him from where he sat on the ledge watching the river below. He had found every one of his siblings to ask them to meet with him away from their mothers range. He was not sure they would all arrive but he expected at-least one or two. With their new roles and the current air of Nightclan their lives had taken very different paths. Bubblepaw was eager to see how he could use this to his own advantage.
Buttercuppaw walked along the edge of the bridge with ease. Strutting like a two-leg in high heels would, her gaze fixed on her waiting litter-mate. She didn't know why exactly she was called here, what she did know was that it was for a good reason. It had to be. If there was one thing the sandy bengal she-cat made abundantly clear it was not to waste her time.
"Hello dear brother" she purred, her pale green eyes sweeping over their surroundings, not sure how she felt about about this chosen meeting spot, though if she had any complaints she kept them to herself. "To what do I owe the pleasure of this... summons?" she asked slightly unsure what all this was about.
"Summons... that makes me sound like your liege dear sister, please refrain from assigning me such lofty laurels." He teased one of his aquamarine eyes winking towards her. "After all, it's a dangerous time to be claiming weight above ones station." Bubblepaw thought of their mother, stuck within the nursery forever a queen no longer able to reach any higher. He wouldn't say he was sad for her, but it served as a stark reminder of the careful dance they would need to do during their apprenticeship, to keep their necks out of the jaws of the wolves.
"And is it not possible I simply wanted to have all my siblings together, with me where I knew you were all safe?"
Bumblebeepaw had come. They had to. Whatever they talked about, Bumblebeepaw was deadset on overhearing it at least. They were endlessly paranoid about their siblings, even those they were closest to. Truth be told, all of them held their fate in their paws with one revealing word.
The apprentice had potrayed themselves as a tom within the first day of joining Nightclan, and even then they consdiered themselves lucky they were so quick to read the room. What if they hadn't? Even as they walked to their meeting place, the apprentice shuddering at the thought of an alternate history scenario in which they with forced to act prim, proper, demure - the perfect mother, sister, daughter, the poster child of a she cat in Kier's Nightclan.
Would they have even bothered to fake it? Was respect and success worth every last inch of their pride - was there even any real respect or sucess that Bumblebeepaw would have wanted as a she cat in Nightclan?
Bumblebeepaw was glad they didn't have to answer that. For now. Because for now, their sibling's maws had remained shut, and they could hide behind the semi-convincing, though still absolutely humiliating, lie that they had been taken to the cutter's before any of their other siblings had - the reason their kitty-pet mother and father had sent them off to the clans to begin with to avoid the tragedy for any more of their children.
But that always meant they had to be looking over their shoulder, in constant fear that the only cats in the world who could ever fully rat them out would one day get a bee in their bonnet and for some forsaken reason think it was worth it to be a snitch. Any meeting between their siblings left them with a small voice in the back of their mind reminding them that any talks without them being there could technically end up being conspiratorial, and though Bumblebeepaw was aware that was likely just the paranoia speaking, that paranoia was really, really loud.
So, when Bumblebeepaw saw their brother and sister already conversing, they had to force their fur to lie flat, to slightly hide the bubbling unease. "Yo!" Bumblebeepaw called out from a bit of a ways back, making it very clear that they were there as they picked up their pace to quickly join Buttercuppaw and Bubblepaw at their meeting spot, only slowing to a stop when they had actually joined up with the pair. "What's up? What did I miss?" Although the apprentice tried their hardest to sound warm and a little dismissive and uninterested, a very keen ear could hear a distinctly anxious and incredulous tone to their voice.
"Nothing, Bumblebee." Bubblepaw laughed and smiled wide towards their sibling, "sister and I were simply saying our hellos." Keen eyes took in the other and he waved his dark tail, motioning for the other to come over. "Let me get a look at you, I feel like I never get to see you anymore; all grown up and you no longer want to entertain your brother dotting." The laugh he let out was soft and affection alluring his siblings into his care.
"I hear you were in the medicine cat den the other day after all, I find myself worried that you're not taking proper care of yourself." In truth he had seen his sibling go inside and chosen not to investigate, having been occupied with other things at the time. He was sure Bumblebeepaw wouldn't hold it against him, some things took precedence after all.

“Is that so?” Bunnypaw cut in with an smile his eyes glinting in the moonlight. He had just been conversing with the gentle kitty pet that raised them. With falsely friendly steps he padded up to sit with his siblings. Bunnypaw appeared to have his guard down, but he knew better than to relaxe, especially in Nightclan. He kept his ears pricked for the sounds of listening snitches.
He gave his sister a friendly flick of his tail. The soft looking tom did not value others, and was always ready to throw them into kiers line of fire, but he made an acceptation with his siblings, as long as they stayed in line. If they put his reputation at risk he was willing to set things straight, but for now, they are family. “Did you miss your dear brother?” He purred to bubblepaw.
(it happens, this thread is moving crazy fast so i don't blame you. i don't know if i've actually seen a thread chain go this fast back and forth is a long time cx)
"Hey Bunnypaw." Bumblebeepaw greeted, equally giving their brother a friendly flick of the tail in greeting before turning their attention back to Bubblepaw.
"Yeah, I wrecked my paw. We don't talk about how it happened though." Bumblebeepaw said dismissively, although their vague answer implied a much more interested story than the one the apprentice was giving. "It's fine now though, but it took going through gehenna and back to get it fixed."
Bubblepaw let them make their greetings before he smiled towards Bunnypaw and flicked him on the nose with his tail, "of-course I missed my dear sweet brother, after all you're the twin to my heart." He referred to their matching charcoal bengal pelts. "I trust you have been well. I have seen you even less than the others recently." Though he had an assumption that Bunnypaw had been out and about more than any of them.
He listened to Bumblebeepaw and raised a brow, not one to be goaded into asking to be told more than was plainly said. He would figure out the story in his own time he was sure. "Well as long as you're fine. I would hate for one of our numbers to be thinned. We have a reputation to uphold after all." Because of their origins he worried for their place among the other apprentices, what would happen if they made a misstep. He cast a significant look towards Bumblebeepaw at the thought but said nothing.
"Yeah. It's healing, and I don't have plans on dying any time soon." Bumblebeepaw responded, their voice as easy-going as ever, if not marked by a slight teasing, but there was a small, breif moment that a look flashed accross their face that told a different story.
Bubblepaw's look, mixed with a mention of reputation, was enough for the apprentice to read between the lines. It didn't seem like a threat really, more a notice of an obvious truth, but it made them uneasy. Still, they tried not to show it, pretending that the only matter at hand, the only one that possibly could be at hand, was a stupid accident with their paw. And thus, that was the only matter the apprentice bothered to address.

{just so everyone knows, all of bunnypaw’s sibling are well aware of his two faced nature and should know him well enou To know when he is being fake or not, just due to growing up together.}
With an amused flick of his ear bunnypaw mewed, “our reputation seems fine for now.” His adventures with getting into the other apprentices circles where paying off, he was learning new things and a very talkative kit has spilled him all of the secrets she should’ve kept to herself. “I think bumblebeepaw has at least kept themselves under kiers good side.” He purred his praise.
As far as where he had been, “I’ve been getting To know our new home better.” He settled down tucking his tail over his paws. “all of our new… friends.” You could feel the lie that lay behind the word friends. Bunnypaw didn’t keep friends, he kept tools for success. “I have been learning new fighting techniques.” he mewed on a happier note. “Did you know there is a kit that knows quite a bit about some very interest plants around here?” He shared his freshly learned information enthusiastically with his siblings.
Bubblepaw smiled towards their brother as he spoke, though internally he sighed, he supposed it should come as no surprise Bunnypaw was quickly integrating himself among the other numbers of Nightclan; having always been more bold in his grasps for notoriety than himself. "I suppose by interesting plants you mean dangerous; I hope you can be counted on to use that knowledge for us if needed."
He kept his smile affixed though his tone grew a little darker towards the end. The charcoal bengal was thinking of loose ends, how the easiest way to close a leak was to get stop the water flow. But if it already held water you would simply have to get rid of it, using herbs would be a good way to make things look accidental if needed.
Bumblebeepaw's ears perked a bit at the compliment, glad to see that it seemed at least Bunnypaw had their back. They weren't stupid, they realized in some ways they were the family's weakest link. They figured they weren't likely to get the family up on trial, but humiliated? Stripped of any potential ranks and future positions? Most definently. Bumblebeepaw risked them all to a certain extent. But they also were as ambitious and strategic as the rest of them, and unique perhaps in the fact that while in their youth they had been much more like most of their siblings - quiet, reserved, manipulative, a perfect reporter behind the scenes - they had grown into the louder, more out-going display of loyalty and model Nightclan devotion. A good citizen with a constant, unbreakable facade of soldierly perfection, which Bumblebeepaw liked to think in some way benefitted all of them, at least a little.
Now, perhaps Bumblebeepaw was the worst of the siblings to have taken to drawing any kind of attention to themselves, whether good or bad, but still. So far they had managed to seemingly attract a note of positive attention from Kier, and that was the sort of thing that made leagues of differences in Nightclan.
At Bunnypaw's comments about getting more familiar with Nightclana nd what he was learning though, Bumblebeepaw perked up even more. Not at the potentially much more relevant information about the plants and kittens with loose lips, but at Bunnypaw's breif mention about new fighting techniques. "Yeah yeah, the plants are neat, sure," Bumblebeepaw spoke up, though his dismissive tone said otherwise. "But what fighting techniques have you been learning? Anything actually interesting?"
Balloonpaw walked along the bridge until he saw the cluster of his siblings. He noticed he was the last to arrive. Approaching silently the adorable squishy tom faked a smile that could easily be seen a territory away by his littermates. “What do I owe the pleasure of spending the afternoon with my dear precious siblings.” His voice rumbled.
"Hey Balloonpaw." Bumblebeepaw turned his attention away from Bubblepaw and Bunnypaw to give Balloonpaw a warm, though fairly laidback greeting. "No clue though, Bubblepaw hasn't said." Bumblebeepaw answered, their gaze turning back to their brother. They wondered slightly if there even really was a reason, or if this was just his brother's way of gathering their information and making sure no facades had slipped in a way that would stab him in the back. Not that Bumblebeepaw really care either way. It made it for one of the least hostile interactions they'd had in weeks, even if the tension while they were amongst their siblings always started out a bit high.
"I have so said!" Bubblepaw denied with a little raised brow and down-turned lip. "I simply wanted to check in on all my darling siblings. It's important we all know what each of is doing. After all I would hate to cause problems for any of you by doing something foolish." It was as close the the truth as he would get, one might even say it was the truth.
He did want to know what his siblings were doing though not out of some familial affection, but more so he could use what they knew for himself. The charcoal bengal had decided for his time as an apprentice to let himself be buffeted among the waves, to not carve into the turbulent ocean that was Nightclan until he felt the time was right. In fact while they thought of their positions he was thinking of their legacy. "For instance, do any of you sweet cherubs have a crush yet!" He crowed, teasing.

Glancing over at Balloonpaw, "welcome to our little meet and great, minus the meat." he joked, it wasn't the best joke but he amused himself. he chuckled at Bubblepaws mention of a crush, "I don't think i have had time to even BEGIN to wonder about a crush... I think I would rather keep to myself for now." Bunnypaw mused, he hadn't thought of the idea yet, there weren't many she cats in the clan that sparked his interest yet. Though only time would tell.
At Bubblepaw's little decleration, Bumblebeepaw rolled his eyes. It was not necessarily because they didn't believe him -- it was hard to know what was going on in any of their sibling's heads anymore really and truly, but mostly because such an over the top display of affection was something Bumblebeepaw had long ago decided they were too 'cool' to take seriously.
Either way, at Bubblepaw's question they pretended to give it a moment's thought, only snapping out of it to give a small laugh at Bunnypaw's bad joke, before settling on an answer while biting back an amused smile, as if they were already a little too humored by what they were about to say. "I'd have a lot more crushes if all the pretty girls would learn they'd look a lot prettier when they keep their mouth shut and don't talk your ear off." Bumblebeepaw said with a small laugh at their own quip, although taking the moment to give a warm glance at Buttercuppaw, as if to say, "Not you though. You get to be the outlier."
Bubblepaw let a little laugh escape him at Bumblebeepaw's words but internally he wanted to scoff; the other would be playing a dangerous game if they allowed someone to get that close to them, someone they didn't trust with their whole self and heart. "Well all I will caution is to be careful, I won't be nursing anyones broken heart if it comes down to it." The smile he pasted on his features said otherwise so his siblings would never be able to know what way the tree would fall if it all came down.
"No come along, lets do some hunting; of any kind." He purred before setting off across the bridge and striking out in a random direction. He felt itchy standing in one place making conversation, needed to walk to stretch his legs.
