Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The pale tan tabby glanced around warily as he slipped through the marshy land around the creek. He wasn’t sure when SwiftClan started marking borders, but it made him uneasy. Was he going to be welcome back or had they changed their ways? Maybe visiting was a mistake, but it had been so long since he had visited his old home, and he didn’t want to miss the chance. Wy stepped up through the shade of a willow and surveyed the area.

It wasnt often that most leaders would go around doing border patrols themself, but Heavystar wasnt a normal leader. He padded through the underbrush, not really searching for anything, just hoping his presence would be enough to re-scent the borders, scare off any groups that had made their homes nearby. Not that it really mattered, the land was lush and full of prey. Swiftclan had plenty to share. He just feared the loss of more of his clan mates... running off to wherehaveyou. He sniffed around the trunk of a tree, something familiar, yet different hitting his nose. He looked around, ears flicking in different directions to see if he could find anyone, but didnt see anything alarming, and brushed it off quickly, continuing on his path.
Already, Wy was feeling more at ease here; the sun was warm on his fur and the space was open and welcoming, unlike the tunnels he had lived in recently with the Regime. Their creative minds appealed to him; their lifestyle did not. He would be more relaxed if he knew he wasn’t about to be attacked.
Stepping down and picking his way down a small hill, he came along a path within a few steps, and the scent of another cat with it. He looked up to see a cat heading toward him down the path and his eyes widened when he recognized the leader.
“Heavystar? I’m— I’m Wy, I used to live here,” he identified quickly, unsure if the tom would recognize him. Wy had left many moons ago, before Heavystar was leader. “I don’t mean any harm, I didn’t know what the borders meant, if you um, don’t like visitors now, orrrrr”

The large tabby heard a voice before he saw who it came from, his eyes searching around to find the source. A few tail lengths away stood a cat, unfamiliar to him, though apparently he was more well known than he thought. He put on a smile, coming to a stop as to not make Wy uncomfortable or nervous. "No, the borders dont mean much other than we've settled down," he explained, shaking his head, "Theyre meant to keep out the large groups that call the same spaces their own home, a passerby here and there isnt trouble. Nice to meet you."
Wy relaxed a little, relieved. He was glad he wasn’t being turned away. “It’s nice to meet you too,” he responded, dipping his head gratefully. “I won’t stay long, I just wanted to visit the clan. I heard my brother was here— Chim? Is that true?” He watched the leader anxiously, unaware his brother had left the clan a while ago.

Another shake of his head, "No unfortunately not," he answered honestly, "I actually havent met him myself, he left far before I took over this clan," he shuffled his paws beneath him, feeling a twinge of sadness that they couldnt be reunited today, "Though I hope I'm keeping it in decent shape, I hear he was a great leader." He looked pensive, wondering if that was all he was really here for, "Youre welcome to come to the camp if you'd like, see everything for yourself."
"Oh." Wy nodded seriously, trying his best to mask his disappointment. He felt a little relieved too; they weren't on the best of terms. It might be better if he didn't see Chim at all.
"I would like to see the came," he agreed, perking up. "And-- not that it means much coming from me-- the clan is still standing, so I think you must be doing a fine job. Chim destroyed the first clan he led, so you're beating his record."
